I / PM Express Imaging and Process Management Web Express User Guide EWU s Web based Document Imaging solution It is important to make sure you Log Out or close the Oracle IPM web client when not in use. Doing so releases licenses and makes them available for others to use. Note: Unlike previous versions, there is a single web client that is used for both Windows and Macintosh based PC s. Unfortunately the IBPMPlugin Viewer still only works with Microsoft Internet Explorer. Recommended Web browsers are: Internet Explorer (version 6+) and Firefox (version 3+). However if you are not using the IBPMPlugin, any up to date browser should work fine. Page 1
To access Oracle IPM, point your browser at the following address: imaging.ewu.edu You do not need to type in http:// nor are there the typical www in front of the address. Click on the EWU logo to enter the Oracle IPM system. Enter the Username and Password that you were given when you signed up for document imaging. If you don t have a username or password you will need to sign up for an account. The form you will need to fill out is located in the forms section of the Records and Registration web page. Unfortunately the IBPMPlugin Viewer still only works with Microsoft Internet Explorer. Please skip steps 3, 4 & 5 if you are using a Macintosh or you do not wish to use Internet Explorer. You must have administrator access to your computer to install this plug-in. If the following install fails indicating you need these rights, you will need to contact your tech support to install this plug-in for you. You can still use the Default Viewer if you do not wish to use or cannot use the plug-in. Page 2
Once you have logged in, it is recommended that you install the IBPMPlugin. Click on the Options link (either one) This is a onetime install, unless of course there is an update Scroll down to the bottom of the window that appears on the right hand section. Use the scroll bar to scroll Click on the Download link at the bottom of the page. Depending on your operating system, you may have a pop-up similar to this one. If you do not, remember that you want to run and install this file. Click on Run for both of these screens when they come up. Page 3
Click Next on this screen Click Next on this screen If you see this screen, click Yes to All, Otherwise You will see this screen. The install is now complete, click OK to complete the process. Section 7 describes how to use the IBPMPlugin Viewer. Continue to next step. Page 4
Finding a Document Click on Searches (either location) Click the down arrow to display the searches you have access to Select the search you want to use, we recommend using the All Student Info if you have that option. Use one (or multiple) of the search fields that come up with the search you selected Hint: If you are using a student ID number, drop off the leading zero s When you are done entering text, hit enter on your keyboard or click Execute Your results will appear in a screen similar to this one. Note: you may have multiple pages listed. Proceed to step 7 for viewing documents in the Default Viewer Proceed to step 8 for viewing documents using the IBPMPlugin Page 5
Find the document in the list you want to view then: Click on the icon that looks like a piece of paper Click on View Click on View with Default Viewer The Image Viewer is considered a pop-up by your web browser, if new screen similar to this one does not appear, you will need to turn off your pop-up blocker. To Print. When you print using the Default Viewer, it prints exactly what is on the screen, you will need to change the Zoom to print correctly. Click on Zoom, then click on Zoom Best Fit. Click on Zoom again, then click on Zoom In. You are now ready to print. Click on File and select Print. You may start noticing tabs of users you have looked up proliferating; you may want to keep your space clean by selecting file and then choose of the Close Tabs options. Page 6
IBPMPlugin Viewer Find the document you want to view in the list, then: Click on the icon that looks like a piece of paper Click on View Click on View with Plugin Viewer The IBPMPlugin Viewer is considered a pop-up by your web browser, if new screen similar to this one does not appear, you will need to turn off your pop-up blocker. You can use the toolbars to navigate and print: You may start noticing tabs of users you have looked up proliferating; you may want to keep your space clean by selecting file and then choose of the Close Tabs options. When printing using the Default Viewer, it can take several minutes to print your document have patience please. You can now start using Document Imaging. Remember to log out when you are done. Page 7
