QUICKSTART: 1. Download app in GooglePlay or the App Store. 2. Turn on Honey by pressing the button for 5 seconds, until you hear a two-tone beep. 3. Create an account and login. 4. Tap CLAIM then follow the on screen prompt.
Creating and Signing-In to your Account: Login with your existing Facebook account. (Note: If you need to reset your password, this is done directly through Facebook.com.) Create a Pebblebee account using your email address. After entering your information, tap Sign Up in the upper corner to finish Forgot Password takes you to a link to reset your account password. *Creating a new account will not give you access to already claimed Honey s.
Claiming and unclaiming your Honey The Hive serves as the control center for all your Pebblebees. From it you can claim or unclaim a Pebblebee as well as view all owned and shared Pebblebees. Unclaiming releases ownership of the Pebblebee so that another account can claim it. Claim: Turn on your Pebblebee by pressing the button for 5 seconds, until you hear a two-tone beep (a quick three-tone beep turns it off.) A notification bar will appear; tap CLAIM then follow the on screen prompt. Once claimed, tap on the Pebblebee enter the device page to monitor and control. Unclaim: Swipe the Pebblebee to the right; a pop-up will prompt you to confirm or cancel the unclaiming.
Reload Page Reloads Pebblebee data from the cloud, including any new shared data. Auto updates are limited to reduce data transfer and maximize phone battery life. Signout Exit current account to allow another user to log in. Signing out will prevent certain features like Find Phone from working. Camera Shortcut button opens the camera. Use the Take Picture feature to remotely take photos using the Pebblebee multi-function button.
Device Settings: 1. Range Alerts- Avoid leaving behind tagged items with range alerts. Notifications can be sent to your phone when your device moves in or out of range. 2. Multi-function button- set the multi-function button to Take Pictures as a remote shutter, or Find Phone. If Find Phone is selected, when pushed, the multi-function button sends an audible alert to your phone, enabling you to find it. 3. Lost- If out of range, mark your device as Lost to enable Crowd GPS. Your devices location will be anonymously updated by any passing Pebblebee user, and your friends will be notified if they pass your device.
Sharing: Sharing allows friends and family to access your Honey s features without granting full access to edit and change settings. Friends can be added by email or through Facebook 1. From the device page, tap on the friends icon 2. Tap add friend, then choose how you would like to add them. Using Facebook requires logging in to your account 3. If they have not downloaded the app and created an account, you can then invite them to do so. If they have, they will be added to your list 4. Choose which friends to add to the device
Edit Allows you to name your Pebblebee and add a photo. Tap on either the circle or camera to add a photo. Locate Shows a Pin on a Google map indicating the last detected position. Tapping on the pin opens the option of using Google maps to direct you to the last location Device Settings Device Settings: Manage range alerts, multi-function button, and report a device lost. Temperature 4 must be calibrated first for accuracy. To do so, you will need to be in an area with a thermostat or temperature gauge. Long-press on the temp; a screen will pop up. Match the temperature of the device to the current temperature of the area and press OK. Beep 5 Command Pebblebee to sound its alarm Flash 6 Command Pebblebee LED to light up Navigation: 7 Swipe left or right to Move between Pebblebees easily without returning to the Hive.
Personalize Device: Tap on either the circle or camera to add a picture for your Pebblebee. Name and describe your Pebblebee as will be seen in the Hive
