Table Service Daily Steps for Cashiers Process Sales Tasks This section provides information on processing sales from the Process Sales screen. Tasks Select menu items Steps Option 1: (single course meal) a. Select a menu item. b. Did a modifier menu display? If yes, select item(s). Click Menu, More, or a different menu (22). If no, continue to next task. Option 2: (multi-course meal) a. Click course number. b. Select menu items. c. Repeat steps a and b for each course. Mark individual items as a To Go Order a. Select menu items. b. Click the to go item in Order box. c. Click To Go Order (35). Enter a Carry Out order * Remove single item in Order box * Clear items in Order box Option 1: (single course meal) a. Click Carry Out Order (4). b. Click Change Patron (15). c. Click Open Seat (12). d. Select menu items. e. Click Return to Tables (33). f. Click Send Single Order (13). g. If applicable, choose date and time to send order to kitchen. Option 1: a. Click item in list. b. Click Delete Item (34). Click Clear All (34). Option 2: (multi-course meal) a. Click Carry Out Order (4). b. Click Change Patron (15). c. Click Open Seat (12). d. Select menu items. e. Click Return to Tables (33). f. Click Fire Course (13). g. If applicable, choose date and time to send order to kitchen. Option 2: a. Double-click item in list. Change seat Click Next Seat or Previous Seat (31). Access Online Help Click F1 on a keyboard to access Online Help. * If the order has already been sent to the kitchen, see Handle Orders. NOTE Blue numbers (1) indicate a cross-reference to a screen element inside this quick reference card. QUICK REFERENCE CARD

Task 1: Log on to POS 1. Click the point of service icon. 2. Choose your Name. 3. Click Keyboard on Login screen. 4. Enter your Password. 5. Click Enter on Keyboard screen. Task 2: Open a Serving Date Select the correct serving date or you will have to void and re-enter transactions. 1. Click Open Terminal. 2. CONFIRM the date is correct. If correct, click Yes. If not correct, click No and select date. 3. If instructed, enter an opening till amount. If a till amount is not required, continue to step 4. 4. Click Enter. Task 3: Log on to Table Service 1. Enter your User ID. 2. Did a message display indicating you must open a till first? If yes, click OK. Refer to Task 2: Open a Serving Date. If no, continue to step 3. 3. Click Enter. The Tables screen displays. The following is an example: Tables Screen 1 2 1 Table Section: Displays tables set up at your site. Each table button includes the table name and number of seats. Seat Selection and Timer: Displays: Seat and table currently selected. Change Section: Allows you to select a different section or group in the restaurant. Fire Table: Notifies the kitchen to begin preparation for the next course. Notification is sent to the fire printer. View Seats for Table: Displays the Seats screen for the selected table. View Checks: Displays closed checks in a journal format. Merge Tables: Moves seat orders to a different table. Log Out: Exits the Tables screen.

Task 4: Serve a Table 1. Click the table you want to open. 2. Click View Seats for Table (7). The Seats screen displays. Seats Screen 11 12 13 11 Seats: Displays the default number of seats set up for the table. Patron Name and ID Number: Displays the patron assigned to the seat. Course: Displays the course numbers, if applicable. Menu items: Displays the items ordered. Blue: Menu item and quantity. Red: Modifier for menu item. Open Seat: Opens a seat so you can place an order. Fire Course or Send Single Order: Notifies the kitchen to prepare the course/order for the selected seat. 12 13 15 16 18 19 20 21 14 17 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 Fire Course All Seats or Send All Orders: Notifies the kitchen to prepare the course/order for all seats at the table. Change Patron: Allows you to assign a patron to the seat. Move Items: Allows you to move one or more items to another seat at the table. Merge All Seats: Moves all items for the table to one seat. Add Seat or Remove Seat: Adds or removes a seat at the table for the current sales transaction. Print Receipt or Print All Receipts: Prints an individual receipt or a receipt for each seat at the table. Finalize Sale or Finalize All Sales: Finalizes an individual seat or all seats at the table. Return to Table Screen: Displays the Tables screen. Task 5: Assign a Patron to a Seat 1. Click the seat where you want to assign the patron. 2. Click Change Patron (15). 3. Use the keyboard to enter letters or numbers to find a patron by the filtering method chosen. 4. Select the patron in the list, and click Enter. 5. Repeat steps 1 through 5 for the next seat. When complete, continue to Task 6: Place an Order.

Task 6: Place an Order 1. Click the seat you want to place an order for. 2. Click Open Seat (12). The Process Sales screen displays. Process Sales Screen 22 Menu Tab Strip: Provides access to other menus. 23 Menu Grid: Shows menu items, item groups, or menus. 24 End Sale: Processes the sale. If money is owed, the Tender screen displays. 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 Quantity Lock: Locks the Quantity feature to continuously sell more than one of an item. 36 Quantity: Allows you to enter a quantity for an item. 34 35 $: Allows you to make a deposit into an account without selling any items. Total: Displays the sum of all items being purchased. Appears after items are selected. 33 32 Acct.: Displays the sales amount being paid from the patron s account. Owed: Displays the cash amount due from the patron. Next Seat and Previous Seat: Displays the next seat or previous seat at the table. Patron Info: Displays the patron s name, table number, seat number, building, room, and comments. Return to Tables: Displays the Seats screen. Sales Item List Controls: Detail: Displays or hides item payment method details. Clear All: Clears all of the menu items in the Order box. Delete Item: Clears the selected item from the Order box. Change Quantity: Allows you to change the quantity of the selected item. 38 35 36 37 38 31 28 30 22 27 37 29 23 26 25 24 To Go Order: Marks an item to go. Account Buttons or Course Buttons: Account Buttons: Displays all of the accounts and balances for the patron. Course or All Courses Buttons: Selects a course or displays the items for a specific course or all courses. Show Courses or Show Accounts: Displays the course or account buttons, if applicable. Order: Displays all of the items selected for the sale. The numeric value shows the quantity of a la carte menu items selected.

Task 7: Place Next Order 1. Do you need to place an order for another seat at the table? If yes, click Previous Seat or Next Seat (31). The Process Sales screen displays. If no, click Return to Tables (33). Continue to Task 8: Send Order(s) to Kitchen. Task 8: Send Order(s) to Kitchen 1. Click one of the following: Fire Course (13) or Fire Course All Seats (14) Send Single Order (13) or Send All Orders (14) Task 9: End Sales 1. Click Finalize All Sales (20). 2. Based on your configuration, complete the steps in Option 1 or Option 2. Option 1 Option 2 Did a message display indicating a patron owes money? If yes, click Ok. Continue to next step. If no, this procedure is complete. Select the patron that owes money. Click Open Seat (12). Click End Sale (24). The Tender screen displays. Press F1-Help for information about the Tender screen. Task 10: Log off from Table Service 1. From the Tables screen, click Log Out (10). The Table Service Log on screen displays. 2. Enter the Exit Code. Task 11: Close Terminal Only close the terminal if you have been instructed or if you change lines between serving periods. 1. Log off from Table Service. 2. Click Close Terminal. 3. Click Close All Tills. Did the Finalizing Table screen display? If yes, one or more patrons owe money. Continue to next step. If no, this procedure is complete. Press F1-Help for information about the Finalizing Table screen.

Handle Orders This section provides information on handling orders from the Seats screen. Tasks Move item(s) from one seat to another seat Move all items at a table to one seat Steps a. Click Move Items (16). b. Click a yellow account button to change the target account. c. Click seat number in Seat To Move From box. d. Click seat number in Seat To Move To box. e. Select menu item(s) in From Seat box. f. Click or. g. Click Return To Seats. a. Select the seat all items will move to. b. Click Merge All Seats (17). c. If prompted, select the target account to charge the items to. Send individual order or all orders Option 1: a. Click Send Single Order (13) or Send All Orders (14). Option 2: (course based) a. Click Fire Course (13) or Fire Courses All Seats (14). Delete item after sent to kitchen NOTE The kitchen is not notified about the change. To remove the item from the receipt, do the following: a. Click Open Seat (12). b. Select item in Order box (38). c. Click Delete Item (34). An alert message displays. d. Click OK. Enter password, if necessary. Complete sale(s) a. Click Finalize All Sales (20). b. Is a message displayed indicating all items have not been printed? If yes, click Yes if the kitchen does not need to be notified, or click No to return to the Seats screen. If no, continue to step c. c. Is a message displayed indicating cash is owed? If yes, click OK. If no, this procedure is complete. Print Receipt(s) a. Click Print Receipt or Print All Receipts (19). Void a transaction a. Click View Checks (8). b. Click Find Last Transaction for Patron. c. Click Void. A confirmation message displays. d. Click Void > Close.
