Technical description Design The is a complete, rectangular displacement unit with rounded corners. It is designed to stand on the fl oor. The body consists of top and bottom plates and an air distribution plate equipped with a number of adjustable defl ectors. The top plate has a circular inlet muff. The diffusion plate has an access hatch for access to the duct system. The perforated front plate is fi xed to the unit with concealed screws, behind the removable aluminium side strips. The measuring point is placed on top of the unit. Materials and surface treatment The displacement unit is manufactured in galvanized sheet steel and aluminium profi les. It is coated with our pure white standard paint, RAL 90. The unit is also available in other standard colours: Dusty grey 7037, white aluminium RAL 9006, jet black RAL 900, grey aluminium RAL 9007 and signal white RAL 9003 (NCS 000). Customisation In addition to the standard sizes, these displacement units are available in special dimensions, with reinforced front plate etc. Please contact your nearest sales representative for further information. Accessories Plinth: T 2 - for the aesthetic concealment of the space between the feet of the unit. Planning It is possible to modify the affected area by adjusting the discs behind the front plate. This does not affect the air fl ow, pressure drop or sound level. This fl exibility simplifi es any future changes in the furnishing of the room etc. The displacement unit can be placed in the middle of a room, next to a pillar or near a wall. If placed next to a wall, the three-way spread pattern should be selected. N.B. The sound level in the engineering diagrams is valid at m 2 equivalent sound absorption area. This fact makes it important to check the air velocities in the connecting ducts to the terminals. Extra consideration has to be taken on how the ducts can be connected to the terminals. See Figure 3. Figure 1. Installation. Commissioning. Installation The terminal is placed on the fl oor and if necessary can be fi xed to the wall using angle brackets. See Figure 1. Commissioning The measuring point is placed on the top of the displacement unit. The k-factor of the unit is stated in the product label. The k-factor can also be found at www.swegon.com in the relevant k-factor guide. It is recommended that a measurement unit and commissioning damper is used to regulate the air fl ow. It should be placed at least 3 - duct diameters from the inlet of the unit. See Figure 1. Maintenance The displacement unit can be cleaned when necessary using luke warm water with added detergent. The duct system is accessed by removing the preforated front plate and the access hatch. See Figure 2. 2 We reserve the right to alter specifi cations. Figure 2.Maintenance. 070 www.swegon.com
Sizing Sound level db(a) applies to rooms of m 2 equivalent absorption area, which gives 16 db room attenuation, and measured 2 m from the displacement unit and with at a straight section without disturbance on straight duct section. Recommended maximum under temperature 6 K. To calculate the width of the spread pattern, air velocities in the zone of occupation or sound levels in rooms with other dimensions, please refer to our calculation programme ProAir web, which is available for download at www.swegon.com. Engineering graphs - Air flow - Pressure drop - Sound level - Affected area The graph shows data for sound levels in a room with an equivalent absorption area of m 2 and measured 2 m from the displacement unit and with at a straight section without distrurbance on straight duct section. See Figure 3 for how different duct connetions will affect the sound level. At the equivalent room absorption area of m 2 and 2 m from the disc the noise level increases by approx. db(a). The affected area refers to a displacement unit installed next to a wall, 0 mm on the floor. The affected area distance is related to the isovel limit of 0.2 m/s at Dt 3 K. The graphs are not to be used for commissioning. = min. air flow to obtain sufficient commissioning pressure. The db(c) value is normally 6-9 db higher than the db(a) value. For Dt = 6 K the measurements a 0, and b 0, are increased by approx. %.
