Use the links below to find detailed tutorials on using MSA. Setting Up Your Parent Account» Adding A Student To Your Account» Depositing Funds Into Your Account» Managing Your Account Settings» Archway Scottsdale PSO has partnered with MySchoolAccount. com this year to streamline all of your school activities, events, and lunch ordering in one easy place. This service will allow you to load your family s account from checking/savings account or a credit card, and use those funds all year long to order hot lunches, pay class fees, buy tickets for events, and more! We recognize that this new system is not without its challenges, but we believe it will be worth it! Once all our families are registered and linked their students to their parent accounts, it should be very simple to find, order and pay for PSO events, funds, and hot lunch. FAQ Ordering Hot Lunch» Paying For Class Funds» Registering For An Event» Viewing or Voiding A Purchase» Why are we using this new system? The PSO used several systems last year to sell event tickets, manage the hot lunch program, collect class funds, and receive holiday fund donations. Each came with their own challenges, but the greatest two were that families had to use many different portals to participate, and we were paying thousands of dollars in fees. A great deal of research went into finding a solution. We are still working with MSA to make sure that this solution is as effective and pain-free as possible for our families! Why am I paying fees? Every dollar the PSO raises goes back to the school, whether we are buying vital supplies, or appreciating our faculty and staff, or building community. In previous years, we were paying fees on every lunch purchased, we had to upcharge to cover fees on tickets sold online, and we paid thousands of dollars in fees for our Snowstorm Holiday Fund (every penny donated went to the faculty and staff; the PSO covered those fees from our budget). With MSA, the fees are minimal and infrequent (especially if you make a larger deposit using ACH), allowing the PSO to direct more funds towards the programs that benefit us all! Find out more about Student Account Transfer Fees» If you re still confused about using MSA, feel free to contact us! Be sure to include your student s full name with any inquiries. technology.aspso@gmail.com MSA FAQ Page 1 of 9

Depositing Funds Into Your Account One source of confusion about our new system is depositing funds. Think of MSA as a pre-paid debit card. You can deposit funds and pay out of that balance. When your purchase total exceeds the funds deposited in your account, you are prompted to deposit more funds. You certainly are able to deposit funds only as you spend them, but there is a distince advantage to depositing larger sums: you save significantly in fees! To make a deposit to your account: 2. Click on Deposit Funds and fill in the amount you would like to deposit per student. You may transfer funds between student accounts, so feel free to just deposit into one account if you have multiple students. 3. Select your payment method. Remember, ACH is best for avoiding fees! 4. MSA will give you a total for your deposit, including Student Account Transfer Fee (see next page for more details about how these fees work). Click to make changes or to finalize your deposit! 5. If you would like to receive verification emails for your deposits, make sure Send Payment Confirmation Emails is checked in your account settings. MSA FAQ Page 3 of 9

STUDENT ACCOUNT TRANSFER FEES These fees are only associated with deposits and not purchases. ACH Deposits When you deposit funds using a bank account (checking or savings), there is a flat $2 fee. So whether you re depositing $15 or $500, you are paying $2. This is the best way to take full advantage of the system: making deposits into your accounts on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. Any money that is not spent by the end of the school year will be available the following school year. Credit Card Deposits When you deposit funds using a credit card, the fee is 4.75% of your deposit. MSA will advise you of the total fee before you finalize your deposit. For small deposits, the difference is small. But you will pay fees every time you make a deposit to cover your purchases! There is a $300 limit per student using this payment method. Managing Your Account Settings Change your password and update your name, email address, or notification preferences. 2. Click on. Update any of the information and. 3. Notification Settings These are the recommended notification settings: You will receive email confirmations when you deposit funds, as well as when you use those funds to make purchases. We do not send promotional emails, but may need to send a system-wide alert about changes to MSA. 4. Deactivate Your Account If you leave Archway, you may deactivate your account by clicking right corner. in the top 5. Add or Remove Students to Your Account Click Manage Students to add or remove a student from your account. You may also view purchase activity by students, but will find the reports much more helpful. Find out more about Viewing Your Orders» MSA FAQ Page 4 of 9
