Please follow the steps outlined below to create an LMSnet NYEIS Training user account through the self registration process. Please contact the NYEIS Help Desk at nyeis@cma.com if you have any questions during the registration process. 1. In your Internet Explorer web browser, enter http://nyeistraining.cma.com in the Address bar to navigate to the LMSnet NYEIS Training. The LMSnet NYEIS Training Login Page displays. 2. Click the New User Registration link in the bottom right corner of the Login box. The New Account Self Registration page displays. Page 1
3. Enter SETUPKEY in the Access Key field. Note that the access key should be data entered in upper case letters. Click the Submit button. The New Account Self Registration page displays. 4. Record the following information. The red-lettered fields are required. Unique Email and Confirm Email - enter your email address carefully in both fields. Important Note!! The email you enter must be unique to you. Do not use an email address that others may use. The system will give you an error if you enter an email address that someone else has already entered. Important Note!! In order to complete the LMSnet self registration process and log in to LMSnet, you ll automatically receive an email from the system (i.e., FROM: = nyeistraining@cma.com) that contains a temporary password that is required to log in to LMSnet for the first time. If you do not see an email from nyeistraining@cma.com in your Inbox, check your SPAM folder. You are responsible for ensuring that your email service will not prevent messages from nyeistraining@cma.com from being delivered. Page 2
Unique User Name enter a username that is unique to you and that you will remember. You will use this username each time you log into LMSnet and the NYEIS Sandbox. Important Note!! The system will give you an error if you enter a user name that someone else has already entered. First Name enter your first name Last Name enter your last name Learner Classification select one of the NYEIS User Roles from the list. Municipal Staff should select a role with the prefix MUNI; Providers should select one of the roles with a prefix PROV. The User Role you choose will determine your training plan in LMSnet. The training plan is simply a list of recommended Computer Based Tutorials (known as Online Tutorials) to view. The Online Tutorials provide explanation and step-by-step instructions about specific NYEIS functions (for example, Processing a Referral ). You also have the option of enrolling in and viewing Online Tutorials that are not listed in your training plan. Important Note!! The User Role you select at this stage does not automatically predetermine the User Role that will you will have in NYEIS Production (the application you will enter real child data in). You, or your supervisor, will determine the appropriate NYEIS user role at a future time. The role of MUNI_ProgramUser Admin is a new role that has been added to NYEIS and is not available to select here. Users that will have this role in NYEIS should select the Muni All role in LMSnet. The training plan in LMSnet for Muni All includes recommendations for tutorials that will address all the same functionality of the Muni Program User Admin role. Work Location select your county from the list. You can select only one county. Municipal users select the county that the user account is primarily associated with. Providers Users located in a county that is NOT in this launch increment but under contract with a county that IS in this launch increment, select the county the provider is under contract with in this launch increment. Providers Users contracted with multiple municipalities in a launch increment, select the county that the provider most frequently provides services for. New York City Providers should select one of the five boroughs. Important Note!! The county you select does not affect your access to LMSnet. County information is used to match Municipal users and the Providers users that they are most likely to interact with on a day to day basis in their launch increment. Page 3
Provider Agency Name Providers can enter their agency s name, or if an Independent Contractor, their DBA. (This field is optional). Occupational Category - Select Muni for municipal staff; select Provider for Agency or Individual provider staff Important Note for New York City Municipal Staff!! If your job will require you to have Citywide access, select the Muni Citywide option. If your job will require boroughbased access, select Muni Functional Title select the same option you selected for Learner Classification above. Important Note for New York City Municipal Staff!! If your user role in Production will be MUNI_ProgramUserAdmin, you should select that option here. Click the Submit button after recording data in the required fields. If successful, the system will display the following message: 5. To complete the enrollment process, retrieve the email sent from nyeistraining@cma.com. It will look similar to the one below. Your username and the temporary password will be unique to you. Page 4
Click the link http://nyesitraining.cma.com in the email, or enter that URL in the Address bar of your Internet Explorer web browser. The LMSnet NYEIS Training Login page displays. 6. Enter your user name and the temporary password listed in the email in the corresponding Username and Password fields in the Login box. Click the Login button. The Change Password page displays. 7. Enter the temporary password you received in the email in the Current Password field. Then create your new password in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields. Select the Save button. The Set Security Question page displays. Important Note!! Write your new password down so you don t forget it. 8. Select your preferred security question and record your answer. Click the Save button. The LMSnet NYEIS Training Student Home page displays. Page 6
9. Congratulations!! You have successfully registered into LMSnet NYEIS Training. 10. Place your cursor on the Courses option from the Top Menu, and then click the Media Library option. The Media Library page displays. 11. Click Guides in the Media Categories column. Details about available guides show up in the right side column. Page 7
12. Click the icon in the View column next to the LMSnet Quick Guide row to view or save a PDF version of the guide to your hard drive. The LMSnet Quick Guide provides you a brief introduction to LMSnet and instructs you how to view your Training Plan, enroll for Online Tutorial access, and how to view the Online Tutorials. 13. Click the NYEIS User Manual option in the Media Categories column to access the online NYEIS User Manual units, which provide explanation and step-by-step guidance regarding most of the functionality found in NYEIS. 14. Subsequent to your self registration into LMSnet, you will be registered into the Sandbox, a practice area that replicates the NYEIS application. You will be able to practice the concepts you learn in classroom training and the LMSnet online tutorials there. You access the Sandbox via a link on the LMSnet Home page. Please note that it may take up to 7 business days after you self register into LMSnet to be registered in the Sandbox. You will receive an email notifying you of your Sandbox registration after it has been completed along with Sandbox instructions. Page 8
