Energy Management Smart to Smarter Ian Lee Solution Director 23 rd September 2015

We are focused on energy management. We make energy safe, reliable, efficient, productive and green to manage, control and optimize it between it s production and consumption, from plant to plug. Driving efficiency to save up to 30% Opex and Capex at home, at work, in towns and cities and across the grid

Renewables / low carbon keep pace with the growing demand. We need to eliminate every element of waste and reduce demand, while improving profitability and resource productivity. Conservation is the priority.

We believe it s time to connect. By accessing smart, real time data and information, optimised & delivered across integrated systems though open platforms. We connect all people, points and devices, enabling insight and action for a sustainable future

Meet energy goals in 3 steps with the Smart Approach Integrated communication interfaces Embedded metering and control capabilities Ready to connect to energy management platforms Data-driven energy efficiency actions

3. SAVE On-site real time monitoring and control Access to energy and site information through real time monitoring and control or on-line services On a touch screen display connected to Ethernet Shows essential electrical information and alarms concerning the electrical network On a PC display with common browser Shows monitoring Web pages hosted into the local Ethernet interfaces

Energy optimisation Efficiency Economy Process optimisation Security optimisation

Through integration, meaningful data are ready Now possible for: Data Mining for Marketing e.g. knows how many people of different demography visited which shops at what time in a large shopping mall Better operation of major equipment e.g. how many people taking lifts at what time from which floor to which area to refine the lift traffic analysis BIM analyze available data and improve the accuracy of the Building Simulation Models to help in decision making of some large energy retrofitting projects Control your facilities processes, optimise your operations and assets and conserve your enterprise resources by combining the worlds of energy & IT

We are your Resource Advisor. Providing secure access to data, reports and summaries to drive your energy and sustainability programs

Smart Energy Smart Water We believe it s time to share in your city. All energy systems become a fully connected urban environment operating in a cohesive, multimodal system. Share, shave, shift capacity & integrate to balance supply and demand & drive urban efficiency. Smart Buildings & Homes Smart Mobility Smart Public Services Smart Integration We enable up to 30% energy savings, 5% reduction of water losses, 20% reduction of travel time and traffic delays, as well as environmental, social and economic benefits

This demands stakeholders collaboration A Smart City will combine public governance, people ownership and business collaboration Governments Includes National, regional as well as local city officials Private Investors Includes international development banks and private organizations People & Communities Planners & Developers Includes real estate developers, urban planners, & property managers Industry suppliers Includes ICT, energy, transportation & infrastructure vendors & service providers Utilities Includes city and private electric, water, & gas utilities NGO s & associations Includes all local organizations - citizens, businesses & NGOs Schneider Electric - Smart Cities 11
