Using the Vita Group Citrix Portal Using the Portal Summary This document is will step you through using the Vita Group Citrix portal. This portal allows you to reset your password if it is expired, unlock your account if it is locked out or change your password. If you ve forgotten your password, provided you have set up a set of secret questions and answers you can even update that too. In addition to this the portal can be used to access published virtual applications and desktops. You will only be able to see and access these if you use them as part of your job, in which case IT will have provided you access to them. The first part of this documents covers using the account and password reset features. The second part covers accessing virtual applications and desktops. What is the process? #1 Connecting to Citrix Portal and using Account Self Service Step 1 Open Internet Explorer, Chrome or Firefox. Enter the URL https://citrix.vitagroup.com.au into the navigation bar and press enter to browse to this website. You may be presented with the detect receiver page on first visit. Click Detect Receiver. If you already have Citrix Receiver installed, this page will only show for a few seconds and then continue. If you are just using Citrix to manage your account and password, you don t need to install this, please click the Already Installed button to bypass. If you are using Citrix to launch applications and virtual desktops, please click Agee and download to install the latest version of the Receiver. Step 2 Enter your username and password. Step 3 If your password has expired or is due to expire, you will be prompted to change your password here. This is one of the main uses for the portal. Step 4 The portal also allows you to set up a series of secret questions and answers that will allow you to unlock your account, or change your password if you ve forgotten it. However, you must set these up before this feature can be used. To do this. Login to the portal as above in step 2. Once logged in to the main portal, click on the Tasks Icon at the top of the page and then Start to set up Questions and Answers. Once you click start, enter your current password and click next. Step 6 The Self Service portal to unlock and change your password is accessed from the login page to Citrix at https://citrix.vitagroup.com.au Click on the Self-Service link below the login box. Select which task you need to perform and click next. *Tip: Is your account locked out and you can t log into your PC to use the portal? You can actually use the portal from any PC on the Vita network, ask a colleague to use their computer so you can unlock your account. Enter your username and click next You will be prompted to enter the answers to your 3 secret questions. If you had selected to reset your password, you would now be prompted to enter a new one. #2 Using Citrix to access Virtual Applications and Desktops. Step 1 Log into the Citrix portal as detailed above in Section 1, Step 2. Once logged in, locate the Application or Desktop you wish to connect to by clicking on the sections at the top of the page. Once you have found which one you need to access, click on it to launch. You should see a progress bar such as the one to the right. Note: You will only be able to see the Applications and Desktops you have access to. Using the Vita Group Citrix Portal Using Citrix password reset Services Summary This document will help you understand which process to use when trying to reset or update your password from different devices while both internal or external to the Vita Group network. What is the process? When using ether an iphone or an Android Phone, you will only be able to reset your password if the following conditions are met: You are on the Vita network (e.g. wireless in a store or at a vita location) and then only if you have set up a series of secret questions and answers as described in the Using Citrix Services document under step 4 and 5 from a PC or Mac. If you have met these criteria, please see step 1 as below. When using any ipad, Android Tablet, PC or Mac from the Vita network (e.g. When connected to wired or wireless in a store or at a vita location) please see step 1 if you have forgotten your password, or step 2 if you know your old password. When using any ipad, Android Tablet, PC or Mac from the internet please see step 2. Please note, step 1 is always only available when on the Vita Network if you have forgotten your old password and can t connect to the vita network you will need to call service desk on 07 3624 6888. Step 2 Enter your username and password. In the top right hand corner, click on your name and select Change Password. In the shown pop-up dialog box, enter your old password and then a new password twice. Your new password must match complexity rules: Can t re-use an old password Must be 8 characters and have 1 number Can t change password more than once every 24 hours Click OK.
