SAILOR 6110 Mini-C gmdss Touch-screen security in an uncertain world 2013 Product Sheet The most important thing we build is trust The SAILOR 6110 is a true next generation GMDSS solution. Building on the strong foundation of previous SAILOR GMDSS products, it introduces innovative new features and functionality, including touch screen operation through the cutting-edge SAILOR 6006 Message Terminal and an all new approach to installation and networking. The SAILOR 6110 is more than just a way to meet mandatory GMDSS requirements, because as part of the innovative SAILOR 6000 Series, it is an integral part of a vessel s communication system. The system features true triple functionality as it safely handles all GMDSS, SSAS and LRIT operation on board. Features include: First ever approved touch screen terminal for GMDSS use External storage via SD card or USB disk Innovative approach to cabling for simple networking and expansion Accurate, reliable 50 channel GPS module that is also Galileo ready During the design process, many lessons learned from the SAILOR 3026 has been incorporated. As with the previous generation SSAS functionality is available as an option. A World First Operation of the SAILOR 6110 is performed via the SAILOR 6006 Message Terminal, which stands out as the world s first touch screen, Wheelmarked GMDSS terminal. It provides a user-friendly multimedia style interface, making accessing functionality straightforward, which in turn ensures the safe operation of the vessel s IMO safety and tracking systems. Cabling Innovations The unique use of CAN-BUS (NMEA 2000) cabling for SAILOR 6110 is a major innovation. It reduces installation and maintenance time and costs by offering greater flexibility and making it easier to procure cables and tailor length and connectors, to optimise routing. Additionally, sub systems, such as alarm panels, are connected using RJ45 cables via a switch, making expanding the system easier and less costly.

SAILOR 6120 mini-c SSAS New generation Inmarsat SSAS solution 2013 Product Sheet The most important thing we build is trust The SAILOR 6120 SSAS builds on the successful legacy of the SAILOR TT-3000SSA System, which since its introduction in 2004 has proven its worth in real world incidents, time and time again. Like its predecessor, the SAILOR 6120 SSAS is based around a, self-contained and sealed Inmarsat terminal, housing both antenna and transceiver. This design approach has proven to be rugged and reliable regardless of vessel type and with the terminal s 50 channel GPS module and omni-directional antenna, satellite fix and position are ensured even under the most adverse conditions. SSAS Regulation The SAILOR 6120 SSAS fully meets and exceeds the requirements listed in IMO MSC. 136(76) and MSC. 144(77) under SOLAS resolution I-2/6. This stipulates that all vessels over 500 GT are required to be fitted with a Ship Security Alert System (SSAS) to be used under pirate attacks to notify the flag state administration. Alarms are silent, meaning that there is no audio or visual indication on the vessel that an alarm has been activated. SAILOR 6120 SSAS Features The multiple address functionality enables additional messages to be sent directly to, e.g. the vessel owner, operator or crew family, in addition to the required flag state and ship owner message in relation to the ISPS code. It is possible to have 6 seperate entries with up to 128 characters. Re-configuration can be done remotely or by a SAILOR technician, and has been made simpler, requiring no crew interaction. New configurations may be required when changing flag, where the SSAS alert address stored in the terminal needs to be updated. The Thrane 6194 Terminal Control Unit (TCU), is the key connection point to the system and brings new functionality to ease operation. The TCU has a range of LEDs that allow operators to quickly determine Inmarsat, GPS and program status. They are all usefull features if the SAILOR 6120 SSAS is also used as Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) carrier. The TCU allows for up to 6 SSAS buttons to be connected and monitored seperatly. Easy Upgrade & Installation Upgrading from a SAILOR TT-3000SSA has been made easy as existing SSAS alert and test buttons can be simply connected to the TCU instead of the legacy interconnection box. The SAILOR 6120 SSAS comes complete with all cables and connectors, making it ready to go out of the box. The standard connection cable to the terminal is 30M long, but can be extended up 200M. Approvals and Certification The SAILOR 6120 SSAS is approved by Inmarsat and all major classification societies and national flag state administrators where required. In addition to its primary function as SSA alert carrier the SAILOR 6120 SSAS can also function as a LRIT.

sailor 6130 LRIT New generation Inmarsat LRIT solution 2013 Product Sheet The most important thing we build is trust The SAILOR 6130 LRIT is the premier standalone LRIT solution. SAILOR 6130 LRIT enables straightforward LRIT compliance through ease of operation and reliability. It offers the same benefits towards acceptance and compliance as the legacy system, but with a number of key enhancements. This terminal is a single, self-contained and sealed unit, housing both antenna and transceiver. This design approach has proven to be rugged and reliable regardless of vessel type and application. IMO Regulation Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) was adopted by the IMO in May 2006 as resolution MSC.202(81) and subsequently included in SOLAS chapter V. Vessels subject to LRIT are all passenger ships including high-speed craft, cargo ships, including high speed craft of 300 gross tonnage and above, and mobile offshore drilling units. Why Standalone LRIT? Although some existing systems are LRIT compliant, some may be or may not be reliable. By installing a standalone LRIT terminal, you can be confident that it will perform to the required standards. With simple installation, the SAILOR 6130 LRIT offers a cost-effective reliable way to achieve LRIT compliance. The SAILOR 6130 LRIT comes complete with all cables and connectors included, making it ready to go out of the box. The standard connection cable to the terminal is 30M long, but can be extended up to 200M. Operational Status The SAILOR 6130 LRIT features a new, optional Thrane 6194 Terminal Control Unit (TCU), which brings new functionalities to support day to day operation whilst ensuring compliance. It has a range of LEDs so operators may quickly determine status such as power, Inmarsat log-in, GPS fix and whether a running a program is present in the terminal. This information can determine operational status of the system towards your flag ASP or other physical inspections. Approvals and Certification The SAILOR 6130 LRIT is approved by Inmarsat and major flag ASP state administrators. It is fully compliant with the performance requirements described in IMO Resolution MSC.263(84). Functional requirements for LRIT of ships are described in the IMO Circular MSC.1/ Circ.1307: Guidance on the survey and certification of compliance of ships.
