Rigging for a Tablet PORTAPROMPT These are all the parts to rig a tablet Frame, Cloth Hood and Reflector Large Riser Clamp and Small Rigging Clamp Long Carbon Fibre rigging rods This shows the how the Large Riser Clamp fits onto the Frame when using a tablet. The two long screws fit into the Clamp and then into the two 45 angle screw fittings on the Frame. 3
Detail showing how the Frame is mounted (using the Large Riser Clamp) on the cameras 15 mm bars / rig. This shows how the Carbon Fibre bars attach to the Large Riser Clamp and how the tablet is attached to the rig using the Small Rigging Clamp 4
Rigging for a Passive Interrotron These are the parts to rig a Passive Interrotron. Frame, Cloth Hood and Reflector Large Riser Clamp and Small Rigging Clamp and long fixing screw Long Carbon Fibre rigging rods You fit the Small Rigging Clamp into one the vertical fixing holes (there are 3) of the Frame using the long screw. The Carbon Fibre Rods fix into the lower holes of the Large Riser Clamp (the top holes are used to attach to the camera bars rigging) 5
The Large Riser Clamp and Carbon Fibre Bars fits onto the camera bars in the same way as the Tablet rig. The Frame is attached using the Small Rigging Clamp and slides onto the Carbon Fibre Bars. The Frame can then be rotated to catch the required angle needed for use as a Passive Interrotron 6

FAQ s Getting started? - Your 1 st decision is to decide what type of tablet or phone device you wish to use Apple, Android or Windows as you first need to download a prompting software application. Our rigging will fit all variants of tablets. Tablet and Phone Software options Apple Tablets seem to be the most prolific tools used and we recommend the Pico Prompt App which is a 14.99 download from the Apple Store. When combined with Teleprompter Techniques i-scroll and i-glue devices you have the kind of variable scrolling functionality that you would expect to have on conventional device which means the Presenter is in control of the script rather than vice versa (never a good idea). Android there are a number of packages available. The one we use is called i-prompt Pro which is a free download. The limitation is that we are not aware of a good variable scrolling device for Android Windows once again there are a number of packages available on the web to download but again the limitation is that we are not aware of a good variable scrolling device for Windows Scripts and editing with using tablet systems? Editing scripts changes with dedicated tablet software can be a pain as you have to de-rig the tablet, turn mirror mode off, make the changes, re-mirror and re-rig. Alternatively you can link with a wireless or Bluetooth key board which makes the operation very simple. I don t have 15mm bars how do I rig the kit? The 365 will only rig on 15mm bars if you don t have these the we suggest using the 365-015 15mm bars rigging plate How to Videos? Portaprompt has a number of rigging and prompting videos on their website www.portaprompt.co.uk which may be useful for you 15
