1. INTRODUCTION You must read and be familiarized with this instruction manual before the start-up of the ADALINK II. You must apply the following instructions. We lay stress on the importance of training for a proper use of the Adalink II. This instruction manual must stay close to the Adalink II Box. The Adalink II is a solution that enables the remote access to the Lennox units data, through Ethernet connection and simple web pages. The Adalink II can be connected up to 16 units and allows to: Show unit operation through animated images Adjust main setpoints of the unit (On/Off, cooling/heating setpoints, etc.) Program zone scheduling Show unit alarms log Show unit temperature trends Adalink II Web pages can be accessed through standard internet browser (like IE, Chrome, Firefox, etc.) with Java machine installed (available at www.java.com/download). ADALINK II-IOM-1401-E - 2 -

ADALINK II SYSTEM DESCRIPTION The Adalink II is provided inside a complete electrical box which requires only the following connections : 230Vac power supply RS485 communication bus Ethernet connection ADALINK II-IOM-1401-E - 3 -

2. INSTALLATION 2.1 - BUS WIRING The Adalink II must be connected to the Lennox units through the BMS communication bus as shown in the following picture (please refer to electrical drawing for further information). Daisy-chain connection is required (star and ring connections are forbidden). Shielded twisted pair is required (Lennox recommends the use of LiYCY-P cable). In case of bus lines length > 100m, 120Ω 1/4W resistance must be connected on the last unit between + & - connections. The length of the cable does not exceed 1000m. 2.2 - CLIMATIC SETTINGS A minimum software version RT50 v24.10 for CLIMATIC 50 and RT60 v3 r0.0 for CLIMATIC 60 is mandatory (last upgrade available is suggested). The following settings must be done on CLIMATIC controllers: Unit address: each unit must have a unique address o CLIMATIC 50: Menu 3931 = 1..16 o CLIMATIC 60: Menu 3181 = 1..16 BMS protocol selection: o CLIMATIC 50: Menu 3932=Adalink o CLIMATIC 60: Menu 3182=LennoxVision Baudrate selection: o CLIMATIC 50: Menu 3933=9600 o CLIMATIC 60: Menu 3183=9600 RS485 communication card must be installed on each CLIMATIC ADALINK II-IOM-1401-E - 4 -
