Software 3D SCANNER operates using SNC Dosimetry scanning software. SNC Dosimetry is a modern software application designed to offer both familiar concepts from existing water tank conventions, as well as new tools that were not previously available with a 3D water tank system. Intuitive Software Saves Time. Queues As with other 3D water tanks, 3D SCANNER offers queues to organize and execute groups of scans. Queue results and analyses are displayed instantly for saving to a project. Database All data are indexed in a searchable database. Scanned data can be shared among users as needed. Layers Pre-processed data are preserved and can be recalled as needed. Analysis Selected scans present onscreen analysis.
s u n Processing Layers Each processing function is treated as a unique layer of the scan data. The processing layers do not overwrite the original scan data, so users may revert to earlier unprocessed data at any time. Projects Data is organized on a top level by a scan parameter called Project. Project allows organization of scan data based on specific work tasks. Projects will cover top level tasks such as annual QA and commissioning, as well as any other desired dataset. Graphs Scanned data are displayed graphically. 3D SCANNER
Auto Setup Less subjective Saves time auto level 3D SCANNER compares water surface to the scanning mechanism at several points to make leveling adjustments. 3D SCANNER then calibrates the position of the detector relative to the water surface. 1 Auto level 3D SCANNER measures water surface relative to the scanner at three points and automatically adjusts the level of the scanner using two electric motors. 2 Auto center 3D SCANNER measures a 10x10cm beam to determine the center of the beam relative to the center of 3D SCANNER. Two electric motors then align the center of the 3D SCANNER with the beam center. 3 Angle offset 3D SCANNER uses a series of beam measurements to automatically establish sagittal and coronal home positions for the unique ring drive mechanism. auto center 1 10 x 10cm 2 Two measurements determine Y (1) and X (2) shifts to center 3D SCANNER on Beam Center. Shifts are applied automatically. Setup complete. X Required leveling adjustments are applied automatically. Y

The auto setup feature and the one-cable-connect allows quick and easy deployment, creating a very low threshold to its use. As a result, we are considering to increase the frequency of our routine watertank measurements, which we lowered with our previous system. The software provides a very clear user interface, reflecting the workflow of the measurement and post processing tasks. The ability to search through the database of all recorded scans is a powerful tool. The fact that post processing operations are applied as consecutive layers, with the ability to rollback to any previous one, is a key quality feature in the data management of the commissioning process we are currently undertaking. - Karen Feyen, Ph.D. Radiotherapy Department AZ St-Maarten, Duffel - Belgium All data used is best available at time of publication.
