Application Note Cisco CallManager 4.0-PBX Interoperability: Lucent/Avaya Definity G3 MV1.3 PBX using 6608-T1 PRI NI2 with MGCP Introduction This is an application note for connectivity of Lucent/Avaya Definity G3si MV1.3 PBX with Cisco CallManager Release 4.0 using Cisco 6608- T1 PRI NI2 as MGCP gateway. Connectivity is achieved by using the industry standard PRI NI-2 protocol. The Lucent/Avaya Definity G3si MV1.3 PBX and the Cisco CallManager can be configured as either NETWORK or USER. Network Topology The following diagram shows the test setup for end-to-end interoperability with the Cisco CallManager connected to the PBX via 6608-T1 PRI link as MGCP gateway. To PSTN Phone C x4000 Phone D x4001 Dial Plans 2XXX 91650-XXXXXXX Cisco 7960 IP phones Limitations When calling from a Lucent/Avaya digital phone to a Cisco 7960 IP phone, the Cisco IP phone displays the Calling Name and Number after the call is answered. The Lucent/Avaya phone displays Connected Name but does not display Connected Number.
