This tutorial will show you the options under the function This screen is available to all users and those with Admin logons as long as they have been granted access by the distributor. Please logon using the customer user name and password assigned by our client, the distributor. Then, click on Markup and you should see a screen like this one. The best place to start is with the taxes. Please click on the add/edit button which is shown to the left in the red circle. After clicking on it you ll get a box like the one below. Please enter a name for the tax i.e. Sales Tax or Tire User Fee or whatever you d like to name it. Go to the next line and choose whether the tax is to be applied on a per tire unit basis, total of the tires only, total service only, etc. Depending on what is chosen above you ll have a type of either dollars or percent. Tax Value is the amount you want to be added under the category you re entering. X dollars or x percentage. Click Update Taxes to add.
The next step would be to set up a default markup so please click on Set AS Default as shown in the blue circle. Then you ll need to enter a name for this markup. You might call it Passenger or Light truck or whatever. Below that you can enter the dollar or percent and then the markup amount you want. You can then add in charges for valve stem, balance, etc. with the amount you charge. Click on Update form once you ve completed the above information.
Once you ve entered the different markups you ll have a screen that looks like this.
If you ve decided to become a R2C client and get your dealers signed up on our retail to consumer websites you ll have additional markup capabilities as explained below. The markup programs described below are ONLY available for those clients who have decided to participate in our R2C program that are creating income for you on the monthly payment plan. Once you ve set up your contact information and set up the customer (please see the R2C training module) then you ll be able to access the additional markup programs described here. Click on General Details and then click on the pull down menu next to Standard Markup. You ll get a box like that shown to the left. Basic markup is what is described above. Price range markup and Tire Make/Model are described below. You ll need to choose one or the other prior to starting the set up so you may need to read the information below to decide which way to go. After choosing either markup you ll need to click on Save Changes. Then click on the Markup button to the left to access the next screen shown below.
The box that appears looks similar to the Basic Markup described at the beginning of this module. You ll need to enter the default markup, taxes and installation charges just like you did above. The first main difference is that under Tire Markup is a button that says advanced. After clicking on this you ll be given a screen like that below. As you can see, you are able to choose a price range based on acquisition cost from our client. In this example I ve set it up to have a 32% markup if the cost is between $0.00 and $49.99. I ve also added other markups to reduce the markup percent as the cost increases. Also, please note, the markup can be in percent as it is for the first three lines but dollars for the last line. It s your choice of percent or dollars.
If you choose to go with the Tire Make/Model markup it will work like this. After you get to the Markup and then click on advanced you ll get this screen. First of all choose the default markup by starting with the Type which is either dollars or percentage. Next enter the figure for whichever one you chose as the Type. Click on Submit. You ll also notice the button for Make Discounts. Once you ve completed the above then click on this button and you ll get a screen like the one below left. From this screen you ll be able to click on a Make and create a default markup for that brand. As you can see it can be either by dollars or percentage. Once you ve set up the brands you ll be able to click on a brand i.e. BFGOODRICH and get a screen like the one to the right. Here s where you ll be able to change the model default markup to one you d like. Each model can have a different markup and whether it s a dollar amount or percentage is your choice.
