Background / History / Creation of Evaluator Pro: Irrigation Thank you for your interest and / or investment in Evaluator Pro: Irrigation! I have been an irrigation contractor for many years, and I ve always faced many of the same issues when it came to irrigation proposals. From walking around with a clipboard & invoice paper for the homeowner, or gathering information on the commercial site only to generate a proposal at a later, the processes in the irrigation industry are outdated compared to the technology out in the world today. 3 years ago (after getting frustrated walking around with a clipboard & paper in the rain), the design of Evaluator Pro: Irrigation had begun (and a clipboard was smashed). After finding the perfect app / website developer in the summer of 2016, the concept was officially brought to a reality. Evaluator Pro: Irrigation is set to be released officially late November / early December, 2016. 2. Creating a new account All new account setup will be completed on the website www.evaluator-pro.com. At this point, a user has a few choices to make. o Single user account. System Basics. All of the basic irrigation components data is collected here. None of the fields are mandatory, however it is encouraged to capture as much information as possible. Add Basic information (and locations) about the system (existing, or new installation) such as Controller, T/ON Valve, Backflow device, Sensor(s), and Pipe sizing. Zone Details. o Location. Manually write-in location of zone (ex: Front lawn LEFT ) o Zone Type. Rotary, Spray, etc. o # of Heads. o Coverage Area. Add specific zone details such as LOCATION, TYPE, # of HEADS, & COVERAGE AREA for each individual zone. To get to the next zone, simply click ADD A ZONE.
ADD TASK (Repair). All tasks (repairs) are broken down first by categories (rotary, spray, etc.) to make it easier to locate specific repairs. o Repair Category. Rotary, Spray, Pipes, etc. o Task / Repair. o Notes. Add specific notes regarding the associated repair ( HEAVY roots ), or write-in a complete new repair ( Replace 1 ½ HP booster pump ) o QTY. Quantity of specific task / repair chosen. NOTE: this QTY bears no effect on calculating task PRICE. o Task Price. TOTAL price of all associated tasks for that zone. Ex: Zone 1 has (4) broken rotary head replacements (at $50.00 each). You would input (4) for the QTY, and 200 for the price. Do not include dollar sign ($). This will result in prices not being added / loaded correctly. When in doubt leave the dollar sign out! Tips & Tricks: Don t see your specific repair on the list? Email us at info@evaluator-pro.com and tell us what you re looking for, & we ll make it happen in some way / shape / form!
It helps to be specific with your repair identifications. Do you REALLY need to say if a spray nozzle is CLOGGED vs. BROKEN? Most likely not, but it might help the customer in the long run. As a contractor, if I see 30 clogged nozzles this would tell me something completely different than 30 broken spray nozzles on a system. FINISHED WITH ZONES. By clicking this button after entering your last zone #, it will bring you to an Evaluation Summary screen. Changes to Customer Information, System Basics, & Zone Details can be made at this time. SUBMITTING COMPLETED EVALUATIONS. By clicking on the YES, SUMBIT button, the evaluation will be finalized. If you are a SUB-USER of another account, your report will get emailed directly to your supervisor. In SINGLE USER mode, the report will simply get saved in the Completed Evaluations section. NOTE: It is recommended to email the proposal / report back to yourself first, & also attach the desired PDF spec / sales sheets as well. Then forward out to the customer. ADDING ADDITIONAL EMAIL ADDRESSES. After the report / proposal is submitted, the user will also have the option to EMAIL the evaluation to additional people. Simply type the email address in of your boss / coworker / homeowner / etc., and the audit / proposal will be emailed to them as well. ATTACHING SPEC SHEETS / BROCHURES. In the final step in creating a proposal in Evaluator Pro: Irrigation, the user will have the option to attach spec sheets and / or sales brochures of their choice to the proposal. Simply click on ATTACH SPECS / BROCHURES, and first choose your company / manufacturer (ex: Hunter, Rainbird, K-Rain, etc). Then choose the TYPE of document(s) you are looking to attach (Rotary, Spray, Controllers, etc.) 8. Troubleshooting / FAQ o Why am I seeing DOUBLE of everything in the dropdown menus, particularly the CONTROLLER & BACKFLOW? This seems to be a result of not updating your IOS software (if you are one of the many that delay, and delay), this issue should be resolved with an update.
o My emails are showing up in SPAM, why? This issue we are currently working on to ensure that reports / proposals do not end up in the dreaded SPAM folder. It is recommended to email all evaluations / reports to yourself first to check all entered information before sending out to the customer. We should have this bug fixed shortly. If this problem persists, please contact info@evaluator-pro.com. 9.
