If the terminal width is long enough, each row in the table is printed on a single line. Alternatiely, if the terminal width is shorter than needed, the columns are wrapped where necessary. Changed the machine ID format to decimal base. Added erification that the user is running with root/administrator permissions. Enhancement: Added a new multipathing agent. The new multipathing agent monitors the health state of all multipath deices (XIV and non XIV), reports eents to the Windows Eent Log, and accepts connections from the XIV MPIO GUI. HA-6956* Change: Restructured host attachment tree. The host attachment tree was restructured so that it will be consistent across all operating systems. HA-9893 Change: The multipath configuration is not remoed or rolled-back during uninstallation. xi_detach allows you to remoe the multipath configuration before uninstalling the Host Attachment Kit. HA-9888 Fixed: Runner wrapper crashes due to Python path issues. HA-9827 Fixed: MSCS failoer issues. HA-11058 Fixed: xi_delist may show XIV deices as non-xiv deices. * Applies to all supported operating systems. 12 IBM XIV Host Attachment Kit for Windows

Known issues This section details the known issues in ersion 2.1.0, along with possible workarounds (if workarounds are aailable). Ticket ID HA-100800 Mapping the LUN0 olume causes errors. Due to the distinctie properties of the XIV LUN0 olume (on any storage pool), mapping it to the host causes numerous errors or performance problems. HA-6459 HA-9894 HA-9895 HA-100946 Accordingly, mapping the LUN0 olume is not recommended. When using the VMware Raw Deice Mapping (RDM), xi_delist and the multipath management agent erroneously report that Windows has only one path to the disk. Currently there is no workaround for this limitation (HA-6459). Windows Serer 2003 failure with stop error: 0x000000D1 DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL To resole this issue, download and install Microsoft Hotfix KB945119. Windows Serer 2003 Serice Pack 2 failure with stop error: 0x0000009C MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION To resole this issue, download and install Microsoft Hotfix KB939315. When running xi_attach, xi_fc_admin, or xi_iscsi_admin for the first and second time (during the initial host configuration) on x64-based Windows Serer 2008, two reboots are required. This occurs due to the automatic installation of two Microsoft hotfixes. HA-163121 HA-171418 Currently there is no workaround for this limitation (HA-100946). An error occurs when using the \h (help) argument with the HAK installation command in the Windows command prompt. Currently there is no workaround for this limitation (HA-163121). On Windows Serer 2003, xi_diag triggers an error exception when LUN number 252 is mapped. To aoid this issue, do not map olumes to LUN number 252 if Windows Serer 2003 is used. Oeriew 13

Ticket ID HA-206774 xi_attach fails to connect to XIV systems of microcode ersion 10.2.2.a or older oer iscsi with CHAP authentication. Currently there is no workaround for this limitation (HA-206774). HA-213964 When using the HAK from Windows PowerShell, the -o command argument (used with xi_delist and xi_syslist) does not work with more than one parameter. To aoid this issue, use single quotes to enclose all the parameter names. For example: xi_delist -o deice, size HA-230235 On Windows Serer 2003, when using the portable HAK from a shared network drie to attach the host, the XIV DSM installation (required for attachment) and xi_attach fail to run. To resole this issue, use the portable HAK from a local drie to run xi_detach and then xi_attach. HA-235121 When xi_delist is run immediately after xi_fc_admin -R or xi_iscsi_admin -R, the deices list might report "N/A" as the size of some deices. This occurs due to a delay limitation in Windows Serer. To resole this issue, wait a few seconds before running xi_delist. HA-248145 On Windows Serer 2012, Pythonwin.exe (bundled in the HAK package for Windows) may record Side-by-Side eents in the eent log. These eents hae no effect on system functionality. To aoid seeing these eents, delete the Pythonwin.exe file from the following folder location: <HAK installation directory>\xpy\lib\site-packages\ pythonwin\ HA-253188 xi_diag might fail to gather cluster reports on non-english Windows Serer cluster nodes. If needed, the cluster reports can be obtained manually from: C:\Windows\Cluster\Reports\ HA-253089 After upgrading from HAK ersion 1.5.x to ersion 1.10.0 or later, the newer xi_attach utility might fail in the 'Verifying XIV MPIO Load Balancing' configuration task. To resole this issue: 1. Start the Windows command prompt utility (cmd.exe), and then run the following commands: sc stop ximpioagent sc delete ximpioagent 2. Run xi_attach again. 14 IBM XIV Host Attachment Kit for Windows

Ticket ID HA-254647 If ersion 1.0.2.1 of the IBM Storage Enabler for Windows Failoer Clustering is installed on the host, the Host Profiler utility (xi_host_profiler) returns a alue of 0.0.0 as the ersion number. This does not affect the functionality of the IBM Storage Enabler for Windows Failoer Clustering, and no other erroneous information is returned by the Host Profiler utility. Currently there is no workaround for this issue (HA-254647). HA-255825 The upload of the host profile to the XIV storage system fails silently (without any indication) in the following host configuration: 1. The host is connected to the XIV storage system oer iscsi, and 2. The host HBA FC ports are zoned with the FC targets of the XIV storage system, but are not registered with it. To resole this issue, remoe the host HBA FC port zoning with the FC targets of the XIV storage system. HA-261160 During the installation and configuration of the Windows MPIO feature, if the host is shut down or restarted in an unordered manner, xi_attach, xi_fc_admin, and xi_iscsi_admin later fail and exit with an error message. To resole this issue: 1. Disable the MPIO feature by running the following command: dism.exe /online /disable-feature:multipathio 2. Run xi_attach and restart the host in an ordered manner when prompted to do so.
