What is ModLink Web Forms? ModLink Web Forms is a web-based program for use with ModLink. To install ModLink Web Forms, you install Pacsgear Core Server and then license it to include ModLink Web Forms. With ModLink Web Forms, medical staff use customized web forms to gather information from dictation systems and DICOM worklist, add to or change the information, and then send the changes back to the dictation system. They can also send an image of the form to a DICOM source. Administrators can create forms to match the needs of specific departments, and manage user access, departments, default settings, and other configurations. Install prerequisites (Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1) You must install prerequisites before running the ModLink Web Forms setup program. To install prerequisites for Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, complete the following steps. 1. Click Start > Administrative Tools > Server Manager. 2. In the left pane, click Roles. 3. In the right pane, click Add Roles. 4. In the Add Roles Wizard, in the navigation pane, click Server Roles. 5. On the Select Server Roles page, select the Web Server (IIS) check box. Note: If a new dialog box appears, select the Add Features check box. 6. In the Add Roles Wizard, in the navigation pane, click Role Services. 7. On the Select Role Services page, complete the following substeps. 1. Select the Web Server\Application Development\ASP.NET check box. Note: If a new dialog box appears, select the Add Required Role Services check box. 2. Select the Web Server\Application Development\.NET Extensibility check box. 3. Select the IIS Hostable Web Core check box. 4. In the Add Roles Wizard, in the navigation pane, click Confirmation. 8. On the Confirmation Installation Selections page, click Install. Install prerequisites (Windows Server 2012 R2) You must install prerequisites before running the ModLink Web Forms setup program. To install prerequisites for Windows Server 2012 R2, complete the following steps. 1. Click Start > Administrative Tools > Server Manager. 2. In the right pane, click the Add Roles and Features link. 3. In the Add Roles and Features Wizard, click Next repeatedly until the Select Server Roles page appears. 4. On the Select Server Roles page, select the Web Server (IIS) check box, and then click Next. Note: If a new dialog box appears, select the Add Features check box. 5. On the Select Features page, complete the following substeps. 4
1. Select the.net Framework 4.5 Features\ASP.NET 4.5 check box. 2. Select the IIS Hostable Web Core check box. 6. Click Next repeatedly until the Select Role Services page appears. 7. On the Select Role Services page, complete the following substeps. 1. Select the Web Server\Application Development\.NET Extensibility 4.5 check box. 2. Select the Web Server\Application Development\ASP.NET 4.5 check box, and then click Next. 8. On the Confirm Installation Selections page, click Install. Download the Pacsgear Core Server setup program Pacsgear Core Server is the host program for ModLink Web forms. Install Pacsgear Core Server on a server computer that is available to all clients. 1. To download the Pacsgear Core Server setup program to the server computer, use one of the following options. To download from a web browser, go to the URL that your Lexmark representative provided. On the Download page, click the link provided. If prompted, specify a destination directory and click OK. To download from the installation disc, place the disc into the CD-ROM drive of the server computer. In Windows, copy the installation directory from the CD-ROM to the server computer. Install Pacsgear Core Server Prerequisite An SQL server instance is required for PACSgear Core Server 3.4.0. At this time, Image Link is the only client program that accesses the SQL server (ModLink Web Forms and other clients do not). The PACSgear Core Server installer gives you the option of installing the SQL server instance if not already present on your system. For other installation requirements, refer to the technical specifications. To install Pacsgear Core Server, complete the following steps. 1. In the directory that contains the installation files, right-click the PACSGEAR Core Server Setup.exe file and select Run as administrator. Note: If a confirmation message appears, click Yes. If the installer fails to detect an installation requirement or prerequisite on the server computer, install the requirement or prerequisite by following the on-screen instructions. 2. In the Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for PACSGEAR Core Server dialog box, click Next. 3. On the License Agreement page, read to the bottom of the license agreement, click I accept the terms in the license agreement, and then click Next. 4. On the Settings page, type the IP address or hostname of the server and click Next. Note: If the server requires a secure connection, select the Use HTTPS check box. 5. On the Custom Setup page, to install a new SQL database, click Next. Note: If the Do you want to run this file? message appears, click Run and follow the on screen instructions. 6. Optional. To use an existing local or remote database, complete the following substeps. 5
1. In the Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Express SP2 list, select This feature will not be available and click Next. 2. In the Database server that you are installing to list, select the host or instance of the database server you want to use. 3. Under Connect using, select an option and type server login credentials if necessary. 4. In the Name of database catalog box, type or navigate to the name of the database that you want to use. 5. Click Next. 7. On the Ready to Install the Program page, click Install. 8. On the InstallShield Wizard Completed page, click Finish. Note: Pacsgear Core Server runs automatically as a Windows service. License ModLink Web Forms Prerequisite Obtain a license key by sending an email to key-pacsgear@hyland.com. In the body of the email, type the following information: Hospital Name, City, State, Country/Region, Product Name, System ID, and Department/Workstation. You must license Pacsgear Core Server for ModLink Web Forms before you can begin using it. To license Pacsgear Core Server, complete the following steps. 1. From a web browser, go to http://localhost/pgapps. Note: If not logging in from the server computer, substitute localhost with the IP address of the server computer. 2. On the License page, in the System ID box, note the system ID. 3. In the License key box, type your license key. 4. To install a demo, select the Enable demo check box and enter the expiration date in the Expiration box. 5. Click Save. Change the administrator password To increase security, you can change the administrator password by completing the following steps. 1. On the Log in page, complete the following substeps. 1. In the User name box, type admin. 2. In the Password box, type pacsgear1. 3. Click Log In. 2. On the Settings menu, click Users. 3. Under Restrict access permissions to, click Local Users. 4. In the list of users, click the admin user name. 5. In the Add/Edit User dialog box, type a new password in the Password and Confirm password boxes. 6. Select the Administrator check box and click Save. 6
