Minimum Specifications CompuCal Version 6 requires the following minimum hardware and software for servers and client workstations. 1.1 Client Server Specification For installations on a client s server, for either a single or dual server set up Client Work Station Operating System: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 Internet Explorer 9,10,11, Fire Fox 35 browser Adobe Reader GB memory or greater (8 GB Recommended) Application Server The application can reside on one server or on separate servers. Operating System: Windows Server 2008 / R2 Dual processors recommended 4 GB Memory (8 GB Recommended) 50 GB or greater disk space Adobe Reader Internet Information Services (IIS) version 7 or higher SQL Server Operating System: Windows Server 2008/R2 Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2008 R2 Dual processors recommended 4 GB Memory (8 GB Recommended) 20 GB or greater disk space Adobe Reader Internet Information Services (IIS) version 7 or higher 1.2 Local Installation Specifications For installations on a local PC or Laptop. 1 Check IIS Features From Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features

4 2. CompuCal (Application & Database) Installation 2.1 IIS7 Prerequisites Check IIS Features From Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off. Click Roles in the left pane and then Add Roles on the right and click Next. Click the Web Server (IIS) checkbox and click Next. Copyright CompuCal Calibration Solutions 2015 Page 4 of 17

2.2.Net Framework Install Launch the Setup executable found in the ApplicationInstall folder on the CompuCal CD.

Complete neccessary installations and continue with the Application install. 2.

For Single Server Configurations, Click Yes and complete relative installation and continue with the Application install.

The user may be prompted to install.net Framework before the Installation can continue. Complete neccessary installations and continue with the Application install. 2.3 SQL EXPRESS Install The user may also be prompted to install SQL Express if no SQL Server is present. For Single Server Configurations, Click Yes and complete relative installation and continue with the Application install. For Dual Server Configurations, if running the setup on the Application Server, Click Cancel to continue with the Application Install. 8 For Dual Server Installation, it is necessary to first install the Database Components on the Microsoft SQL Server, then run the install again at the Web Server and install the Web Application Files. 2.6 SQL Server Instance and Database Names Select the required SQL Server instance. If unsure as to which Instance to select, launch the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio from Start > All Programs > Microsoft SQL Server 2008 > SQL Server Management Studio for the available local SQL Server instances. Windows Authentication: When selected, the database will be setup with permissions granted to the NT AUTHORITY/NETWORK SERVICE NT User. Copyright CompuCal Calibration Solutions 2015 Page 8 of 17

9 SQL Server Authentication: When selected, the user will be presented with Username and Password fields to populate. The database will be setup with permissions granted to the SQL User and Password provided. For dual server installation, the Computer Name and Domain Name of the Web application Server (IIS) will also be requested. 2.7 Web Application Install The user may be prompted to install Microsoft WSE 3.0 Runtime. If so, follow the install and continue with the installation of the main application.

Note: This step will only appear if Microsoft Web Services Enhancements version 3.0 is not already installed on the server. Select a Site Name and enter a different application Alias if you do not wish to keep the default settings. Click Next to continue. Forms Authentication: When selected, entry to the application will be with Forms authentication. Windows Authentication: When selected, entry to the application will be with NT Windows authentication. 2.8 Install Adobe Reader The user may be prompted to install Adobe. If so, follow the install and continue with the installation of the main application. 2.9 Install Nova PDF The user may be prompted to install Nova. 2.10 Application Settings and Configuration This section can be ignored during the installation and completed in the CompuCal web configuration file at a later date.

Enter and BPI Middleware settings if required. Mail Server: This is the SMTP address of the server to be used. Mail Server Port: This is the Port Id of the Mail Server. s From: This is the address of the account to be used, to send s from the system. BPI URL: This is the URL of the BPI Middleware that will be used in conjunction with the Application. BPI UserName: This is the username to be used to authenticate with the BPI Middleware. 2.11 Installation Complete After Installation is complete, select Save Config File in order to save the CompuCal Mobile application configuration file as the information will be required later when

Click Launch CompuCal Now to launch the application. This may take a few moments while the application initialises. When the application has launched, click Exit to close the installer. 2.12 CompuCal Login To log in to CompuCal on the server locally, select Launch CompuCal Now or go to http://localhost/compucal/login.

14 3. CompuCal Configuration 3.1 Log Tracing To enable Log Tracing for the Application, go to the Application IIS Directory (Typically C:\inetpub\wwwroot\<ApplicationAlias>\ ). Open the web.config file and go to the <system.diagnostics> section at the end of the file. Create a directory path identical to the path in the logfilename (Exclude the.log file name). NOTE: Please ensure that the Traces directory is set up as a shared directory. Alternatively setup a trace directory in a convenient location and alter the logfilename path (e.g. <assert logfilename="c:\temp\traces\ccaltrace.log" />). 3.2 Firewall Setup To allow access from remote work stations on the network the firewall must be setup to allow remote Web Server (HTTP) access. From Control Panel -> Windows Firewall, select advanced settings, select Inbound Rules and enable the Allow action for World Wide Web Services (HTTP Traffic-In). 3.3 Logo On initial entry to the CompuCal system select Configuration from the Admin menu and add a company logo. 3.4 NT Authentication For Windows NT Authentication, if the networks domains admin user is neither admin nor administrator then the admin entry in the NTUserToCCalUser Table will need to be altered.

Open the table located in the CompuCal database via the SQL Server Management Studio. Alter the NTUserId column in the first row entry in the table to the name of the admin user account on the network domain. It is also important to note that when setting up new users on an Application with Windows NT authentication, that the NT User Id field is populated correctly. 4. CompuCal Import Tool Installation (Server) The Import Tool installation files are found in the Import Tool folder on the CompuCal CD. Click on setup.exe. Click on Next on the Welcome dialog.

17 5. Calibrator Connect Installation (Client Machines) The Calibrator Connection installation files are found in the Calibrator Connect folder on the CompuCal CD. Click on setup.exe Click on Next on the Welcome dialog. Click on Next on the Installation Folder dialog. Click on Next on the Confirm Installation dialog.
