1.1 Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Description Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os is a product formerly called Isogon SoftAudit for z/os which was acquired through the acquisition of Isogon Corporation in 2005. Publication names and contents as well as installation and usage dialogs may refer to Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os as SoftAudit for z/os. For this first release of Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os the names are interchangeable. Components of Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os may also use their Isogon names, examples are Spotlight and Spotlight+. Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os can help your organization obtain a wide range of business benefites: Reduced vendor software expense Reduced or eliminated license compliance exposure Improved data center consolidation and configuration management Improved value-based charge-back programs Effective disaster recovery Effective software utilization Some of the benefits your organization can achieve using Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os are relatively easy to obtain and have immediate short-term value. For example, as soon as your software product inventory and product usage data is created, you can use the information to review license and maintenance fees that can be eliminated. When coordinated with a comprehensive software asset management program, the use of data provided by Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os will help provide continued savings year to year. 1.1.1 What's New in Version 4.1 1.1.1.1 Version 4 has the following Surveyor changes: concurrent processing of multiple dasd volumes to increase and reduce the elapsed runtime of the surveyor job. inventory is stored in a PDSE to minimize problems caused by out-of-space and out-of-directory-block conditions. rescanning of dasd volumes is controlled by a time interval, a user-specifiable time interval must elapse before a previously surveyed volume will be resurveyed, this allows you to run the surveyor on a regular schedule without rescanning recently scanned volumes. rescanning of load libraries is limited to those libraries that have changed since the last survey. surveyor operation is essentially modeless; create, update, and append modes are eliminated. checkpoint/restart is eliminated; if the surveyor ends prematurely and is started again, no previously surveyed volumes will be rescanned unless their interval has expired. 2 Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Program Directory

surveyor copyright processing support has been removed; copyright information that is carried forward by the upgrade utility will be processed in the Identifier and Reporter for compatibility with Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Version 3.2. 1.1.1.2 Version 4 has the following Identifier changes: Inventory files are accepted as input to the identifer from the the following versions of Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os: Version 3.2 Version 4.1 1.1.1.3 Version 4 has the following Exporter changes: All exporter record types may be written in SMF format with a user specifiable SMF record type. 1.1.2 Installation and Migration considerations for Version 4.1 This section discusses the issues related to upgrading to Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os v4.1 from prior versions. 1.1.2.1 General considerations Data created by Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Version 3.2 must be upgraded via a supplied utility program named AUDUPGRD (alias UPGRADER) before Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os v4.1 can use it. This data includes the Identifier and Extractor. Version 3.2 Surveyor output data sets are accepted by the Version 4.1 Identifier for identificationand reporting purposes. Surveyor files may be upgraded to Version 4.1, but it is recommended that a new inventory be recreated using the 4.1 Surveyor. Upgrading Version 3.2 Surveyor files will retain the historical status of Inventory files but will not populate information for identifying unique volumes (which contributes to improved Surveyor performance). Earlier versions of Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os that have been upgraded to Version 3.2 can be subsequently upgraded to Version 4.1. However, such upgrading will not achieve the improved level of identification offered by Version 3.2 and Version 4.1. To get the full benefit of the new release, you must run the complete Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os V4.1 sequence consisting of the Surveyor, Extractor (if applicable) and Identifier. If you are upgrading from from Version V3.2 or a version prior to Version 3.2: Changes have been made to the JCL required to execute various components. In particular, the surveyor JCL has changed significantly (see the Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os administration guide.) Changes have been made to the format of the Exporter output data to support IBM product enablement. To minimize the effect on existing programs utilizing Exporter data, the additional Introduction 3

fields required to support IBM product enablement have been a dded to the end the variable length data records. 1.1.2.2 Passwords Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os does not use passwords. 1.1.2.3 Installation Procedure Considerations Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Version 4.1 should be installed in libraries separate from those used for previous versions of Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Install the Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Version 4.1 ISPF interface by modifying or creating a tso logon procedure. This step is optional. Modifying or creating a TSO logon procedure facilitates the change to the ISPF primary option menu to include AUDITLCM. The JCL below illustrates the change you can make to a copy of your logon procedure: // dd. // dd dsn=auditlcm.v4r1m.clib,disp=shr // dd. Add the clist library AUDITLCM.V4R1M0.SAUDCLIB to the SYSPROC DD concatenation. if you are not using standard Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os, you must change the member SACUSTOM in the clib data set. The DD statement may be placed anywhere in concatenation lists. 1.1.2.4 Upgrade utility The upgrade utility converts Surveyor, Extractor, and Identifier output data sets created by Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Version 3.2 to Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Version 4.1 format. 1.1.2.5 Execution JCL changes All jobs in the Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Version 4.1 JCL library are new and should be used for running Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Version v4.1. 1.1.2.6 Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Knowledge Base Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Version 4.1 incorporates the latest release of the knowledge base (Q405). 4 Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Program Directory

1.1.2.7 Samplib Data Set The SAMPLIB data set includes knowledge base product and vendor listings in members AUDKBLST (alias KBPRDLST) and AUDKBBDL (alias KBVNDLST), respectively. The SAMPLIB data set also includes members listing the products and vendors added and removed from the knowledge base for the current maintenance release. Some products may have been renamed or attributed to a different vendor. To reflect these changes, outdated information has been removed from the knowledge base, as listed in in members AUDKBDEL (alias KBDELPRD) and AUDKBLVD (alias KBDELVND). The updated information, reflecting a change in status, has been added as described in AUDKBADD (alias KBADDPRD) and AUDKBDVN (alias KBADDVND). 5.0 Installation Requirements and Considerations The following sections identify the system requirements for installing and activating Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os. The following terminology is used: Driving system: the system used to install the program. Target system: the system on which the program is installed. In many cases, the same system can be used as both a driving system and a target system. However, you may want to set up a clone of your system to use as a target system by making a separate IPL-able copy of the running system. The clone should include copies of all system libraries that SMP/E updates, copies of the SMP/E CSI data sets that describe the system libraries, and your PARMLIB and PROCLIB. Some cases where two systems should be used include the following: When installing a new level of a product that is already installed, the new product will delete the old one. By installing onto a separate target system, you can test the new product while still keeping the old one in production. When installing a product that shares libraries or load modules with other products, the installation can disrupt the other products. Installing onto a test system or clone will allow you to assess these impacts without disrupting your production system. 5.1 Driving System Requirements This section describes the environment of the driving system required to install Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os. 5.1.1 Machine Requirements The driving system can run in any hardware environment that supports the required software. 5.1.2 Programming Requirements Figure 5. 5.2 Target System Requirements This section describes the environment of the target system required to install and use Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os. Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os installs in the z/os (Z038) SREL. 5.2.1 Machine Requirements The target system can run in any hardware environment that supports the required software. 5.2.2 Programming Requirements 5.2.2.1 Installation Requisites An installation requisite is defined as a product that is required and must be present or one that is not required but should be present on the system for the successful installation of this product. A mandatory installation requisite identifies products that are required, without exception, or this product will not install on your system. This includes products specified as PREs or REQs. Figure 6. Mandatory Installation Requisites Program Number The following: Product Name and Minimum VRM/Service Level 5694-A01 z/os V1.4 or later A conditional installation requisite identifies products that are not required for successful install but may resolve such things as certain warning messages at installation time. They include products that are specified as IF REQs. Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os has no conditional installation requisites. 5.2.2.2 Operational Requisites An operational requisite is defined as a product that is required and must be present or a product that is not required but should be present on the system in order for this product to operate all or some of its functions. A mandatory operational requisite identifies products that are required, without exception, or this product will not operate its basic function unless the requisite is met. This includes products specified as PREs or REQs. Installation Requirements and Considerations 13

Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os has no mandatory operational requisites. A conditional operational requisite identifies products that are not required for the basic function but are needed at run time for this product to utilize specific functions. They may include products specified as IF REQs. Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os has no conditional operational requisites. 5.2.2.3 Toleration/Coexistence Requisites A toleration/coexistence requisite is defined as a product which must be present on a sharing system. These systems can be other systems in a multisystem environment (not necessarily sysplex), a shared DASD environment (such as test and production), or systems that reuse the same DASD at different time intervals. Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os has no toleration/coexistence requisites. 5.2.2.4 Incompatibility (Negative) Requisites A negative requisite identifies products which must not be installed on the same system as this product. Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os has no negative requisites. 5.2.3 DASD Storage Requirements Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os libraries can reside on all supported DASD types. Figure 7 lists the total space required for each type of library. Figure 7. Total DASD Space Required by Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Library Type Target Distribution Total Space Required 1324 3390 Tracks 2204 3390 Tracks Notes: 1. IBM recommends use of system determined block sizes for efficient DASD utilization for all non-recfm U data sets. For RECFM U data sets, IBM recommends a block size of 32760, which is the most efficient from a performance and DASD utilization perspective. 2. Abbreviations used for the data set type are: U Unique data set, allocated by this product and used only by this product. To determine the correct storage needed for this data set, this table provides all required information; no other tables (or Program Directories) need to be referenced for the data set size. 14 Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Program Directory

S E Shared data set, allocated by this product and used by this product and others. To determine the correct storage needed for this data set, the storage size given in this table needs to be added to other tables (perhaps in other Program Directories). If the data set already exists, it must have enough free space to accommodate the storage size given in this table. Existing shared data set, used by this product and others. This data set is NOT allocated by this product. To determine the correct storage needed for this data set, the storage size given in this table needs to be added to other tables (perhaps in other program directories). This existing data set must have enough free space to accommodate the storage size given in this table. If you currently have a previous release of this product installed in these libraries, the installation of this release will delete the old one and reclaim the space used by the old release and any service that had been installed. You can determine whether or not these libraries have enough space by deleting the old release with a dummy function, compressing the libraries, and comparing the space requirements with the free space in the libraries. For more information on the names and sizes of the required data sets, please refer to 6.1.6, Allocate SMP/E Target and Distribution Libraries on page 20. 3. Abbreviations used for the HFS Path type are: N X P New path, created by this product. Path created by this product, but may already exist from a previous release. Previously existing path, created by another product. 4. All target and distribution libraries listed have the following attributes: The default name of the data set may be changed. The default block size of the data set may be changed. The data set may be merged with another data set that has equivalent characteristics. The data set may be either a PDS or a PDSE. 5. All target libraries listed have the following attributes: The data set may be SMS-managed. It is not required for the data set to be SMS-managed. It is not required for the data set to reside on the IPL volume. The values in the "Member Type" column are not necessarily the actual SMP/E element types identified in the SMPMCS. 6. All target libraries listed which contain load modules have the following attributes: The data set may be in the LPA. It is NOT required for the data set to be in the LPA. The data set may be in the LNKLST. It is NOT required for the data set to be APF-authorized. The following figures describe the target and distribution libraries and HFS paths required to install Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os. The storage requirements of Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os must be added to the storage required by other programs having data in the same library or path. Installation Requirements and Considerations 15

Note: The data in these tables should be used when determining which libraries can be merged into common data sets. In addition, since some ALIAS names may not be unique, ensure that no naming conflicts will be introduced before merging libraries. Figure 8. tunit is the unit value matching the product tape. volser is the volume serial matching the product tape. x is the tape file number where the data set name is on the tape. Refer to the documentation provided by CBPDO to see where IBM.HAUD41B.F1 is on the tape. If using FILEIN filevol is the volume serial of the DASD device where the downloaded files reside. OUT jcl-library-name is the name of the output data set where the sample jobs will be stored. dasdvol is the volume serial of the DASD device where the output data set will reside. SYSIN xxxxin is either TAPEIN or FILEIN depending on your input DD statement. 6.1.5 Perform SMP/E RECEIVE Having obtained Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os as part of a CBPDO, use the RCVPDO job found in the CBPDO RIMLIB data set to RECEIVE the Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os FMIDs as well as any service, HOLDDATA, or preventive service planning (PSP) information included on the CBPDO tape. For more information, refer to the documentation included with the CBPDO. You can also choose to edit and submit sample job AUDRECV to perform the SMP/E RECEIVE for Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os. Consult the instructions in the sample job for more information. Expected Return Codes and Messages: The job is considered successful if a return code of 0 is received. 6.1.6 Allocate SMP/E Target and Distribution Libraries Edit and submit sample job AUDALOC to allocate the SMP/E target and distribution libraries for Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os. Consult the instructions in the sample job for more information. Expected Return Codes and Messages: The job is considered successful if a return code of 0 is received. 6.1.7 Create DDDEF Entries Edit and submit sample job AUDDDEF to create DDDEF entries for the SMP/E target and distribution libraries for Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os. Consult the instructions in the sample job for more information. Expected Return Codes and Messages: The job is considered successful if a return code of 0 is received. 20 Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Program Directory

6.1.8 Perform SMP/E APPLY Edit and submit sample job AUDAPPLY to perform an SMP/E APPLY CHECK for Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os. Consult the instructions in the sample job for more information. To receive the full benefit of the SMP/E Causer SYSMOD Summary Report, do not bypass the following on the APPLY CHECK: PRE, ID, REQ, and IFREQ. This is because the SMP/E root cause analysis identifies the cause only of ERRORS and not of WARNINGS (SYSMODs that are bypassed are treated as warnings, not errors, by SMP/E). Once you have taken any actions indicated by the APPLY CHECK, remove the CHECK operand and run the job again to perform the APPLY. Note: The GROUPEXTEND operand indicates that SMP/E apply all requisite SYSMODs. The requisite SYSMODS might be applicable to other functions. Expected Return Codes and Messages from APPLY CHECK: The job is considered successful if a return code of 0 is received. Expected Return Codes and Messages from APPLY: The job is considered successful if a return code of 0 is received. 6.1.9 Perform SMP/E ACCEPT Edit and submit sample job AUDACCPT to perform an SMP/E ACCEPT CHECK for Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os. Consult the instructions in the sample job for more information. To receive the full benefit of the SMP/E Causer SYSMOD Summary Report, do not bypass the following on the ACCEPT CHECK: PRE, ID, REQ, and IFREQ. This is because the SMP/E root cause analysis identifies the cause only of ERRORS and not of WARNINGS (SYSMODs that are bypassed are treated as warnings, not errors, by SMP/E). Before using SMP/E to load new distribution libraries, it is recommended that you set the ACCJCLIN indicator in the distribution zone. This will cause entries produced from JCLIN to be saved in the distribution zone whenever a SYSMOD containing inline JCLIN is ACCEPTed. For more information on the ACCJCLIN indicator, see the description of inline JCLIN in the SMP/E manuals. Once you have taken any actions indicated by the ACCEPT CHECK, remove the CHECK operand and run the job again to perform the ACCEPT. Note: The GROUPEXTEND operand indicates that SMP/E accept all requisite SYSMODs. The requisite SYSMODS might be applicable to other functions. Expected Return Codes and Messages from ACCEPT CHECK: The job is considered successful if a return code of 0 is received. Installation Instructions 21

If PTFs containing replacement modules are being ACCEPTed, SMP/E ACCEPT processing will linkedit/bind the modules into the distribution libraries. During this processing, the Linkage Editor or Binder may issue messages documenting unresolved external references, resulting in a return code of 4 from the ACCEPT step. These messages can be ignored, because the distribution libraries are not executable and the unresolved external references will not affect the executable system libraries. Expected Return Codes and Messages from ACCEPT: The job is considered successful if a return code of 0 is received. For more information on REPORT CROSSZONE, see the SMP/E manuals. 6.2 Activating Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os To make Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os fully operational after the SMP/E installation, post SMP/E work needs to be done. Instructions can be found in the publication named Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Installation Guide at the Tivoli Publications Center http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/tividd/td/ibmtivolilicensecompliancemanagerforzos4.1.html. Once you have completed the steps in the documentation, you're ready to move on and test out your installation. 22 Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/os Program Directory
