Report Builder: Top Selling Items Report The Top Selling Items report will provide sales information about the best selling items in your store This report is normally generated by selected Fineline(s) or Vendor(s) If generating for all Finelines and Vendors, the report will require a long time to generate 1. Click the Reports icon 2. Click the General Reports icon 3. Double-click the Report Builder function button 4. Click the Next button 2
5. Click the Top Selling Items Report 6. Click the Next button 3
7. Click the radio button in the Select Criteria section It is best practice to select either Vendor/Fineline or Category When Vendor/Fineline is selected, the Selected Vendor and Selected Fineline options become available 8. Click the radio button in the Selected Vendor section It is best practice to select All Vendors 9. Click the radio button in the Selected Fineline section All Finelines: Includes information for all vendors Selected Finelines: Allows you to select from a list of Finelines (list is available after you click the Next button) To make the report more manageable run the report by Selected Finelines and only choose the finelines you want to report on. 4
10. Click the Include/Skip tab 11. Click the check box(es) in the Skip Items section for items you want excluded Skipping items will filter out information that you do not want displayed on the report, and allow the report to generate faster It is best practice to select Inactive Items and Zero Sale. This will make the report generate faster by excluding these options from the calculation. 5
12. Click the Sales Info tab 13. Select the desired number of items to appear on the report to show the Top X number of items sold 14. Select the number of months to be considered in the report in the For the last months section 15. Click the Next button 6
16. In the Available column, highlight a code/description to be included in the report 17. Click the Add button 18. Repeat Steps 16 and 17 for all items to be included in the report 19. Once all items have been added, click the Next button Click the button to move all Available criteria to the Selected section 20. Click the Next button 7
21. Click the Sales History Qty field in the Selected Sales Columns section 22. Enter the Start and Stop dates 23. Click the Sales History field in the Selected Sales Columns section 24. Enter the Start and Stop dates 25. Click the Next button 8
26. Select the appropriate Primary and Secondary Sort Options 27. Click the Detailed radio button in the Report Type section Detail: will report a value for each bar code with the Fineline/Category/Department selected 28. Click the 1 Preview button in the Output Options section It is best practice to preview all reports to ensure they contain the information you need before printing 29. Click the Preview button 9
The report will take a few minutes to generate The preview screen allows you to view the report without/prior to printing The preview below shows an example of the 20 Top Selling Deodorant fineline based on quantity sold 30. Click the preview icons to view the report: Zoom In and Zoom Out Previous Page and Next Page 31. Click the Exit to close the preview without printing OR 32. Click the Print button to print a copy of the report 33. Click the OK button in the Print options window 34. Click the Exit button when complete 10
