F 2 MC-8FX Family 8-bit Microcontroller MB95260H Series/MB95270H Series/ General-purpose, low pin count package MB95260H Series, MB95270H Series, and with dual-operation Flash memory that can address EEPROM emulation have been added to the product lineup of the 8-bit microcontroller F 2 MC-8FX family. Overview In recent years, low-price but high-performance functions have been required in small household appliances such as microwaves and rice cookers to enable simple and convenient functions to memorize the user's customized settings of the desired conditions. To realize this, memories such as EEPROM that memorize the settings are required. The new MB95260H Series, MB95270H Series, and have dual-operation Flash memory that is capable of utilizing the Flash memory area as a data area to execute EEPROM emulation. They allow a reduction in the EEPROM that is built into existing product systems and can be applied in various products as they are small in size. They are compact, easy-to-use, and high-performance 8-bit microcontrollers with operation voltage of 2.4V to 5.5V *1 and a built-in CR oscillator. F 2 MC-8FX CISC CPU is used as the CPU core to realize the industry, s top-level core performance with maximum operation frequency 16.25MHz and minimum instruction execution time 61.5ns. These products can be utilized as main controllers for small systems in small household appliances or as sub-microcontrollers for large systems. Product Features These products are highly useful microcontrollers that succeed the high-performance CPU core and peripheral functions that have been highly received in our conventional F 2 MC-8FX Series. Dual-operation Flash memory capable of addressing EEPROM emulation The dual-operation Flash memory comprises an upper bank (16/8/4Kbytes 1) and a lower bank (2Kbytes 2) and is capable of executing EEPROM emulation by rewriting the data on the lower bank while executing a program on the upper bank. Highly reliable FUJITSU Flash memory The built-in Flash memory is a high-performance memory with 100,000-time write/erase operations and a 20-year guaranteed data retention period. To protect the data from unauthorized program reading by external sources and to prevent the outflow of our customers, software programs, it has a Flash security function. Built-in high-performance CR oscillator These products have built-in high-performance CR oscillators. The oscillation frequency can be selected from 1MHz/8MHz/ 10MHz for the main built-in CR oscillator and the oscillation precision is ±3% *2. The built-in sub-cr oscillator, 100KHz (standard), addresses cost reduction requirements in system design. *2: Varies depending on the power supply voltage and operation temperature conditions. Built-in low-voltage detection (LVD) reset function A built-in low-voltage detection reset function can reduce the number of external reset ICs. This will strongly assist in system cost reduction for our customers along with the builtin CR oscillators. Built-in on-chip debugger (OCD) function realizing Flash writing These products have a built-in on-chip debugger function that supports Flash writing (asynchronous serial writing). This enables simple software debugging, system evaluation, and analysis with the actual device built into the user system. Special on-chip debugger resources In addition to the built-in on-chip debugger function, a special debug (DBG) pin has been incorporated to connect the communication line between the microcontroller and the on-chip debug emulator with a single wire. This has enabled on-chip debugging without occupying the user resource communication functions or communication input/output pins. In addition, memory spaces such as ROM and RAM used in on-chip debugging are also specially provided and, as such, no user resources are occupied. Table 1 presents the product lineup, Figure 1 the block diagram for 260H Series, Figure 2 the block diagram for MB95270H Series, and Figure 3 the block diagram for. Development Environment MB95260 Series provides a low-price and highperformance development environment. The one-package starter kit containing the evaluation board, on-chip debug emulator (BGM adapter), and integrated software development environment SOFTUNE (evaluation version) that are necessary for development allows users to start evaluation simply. SOFTUNE V3 Workbench is provided as the development environment software that allows customers to implement all program development processes in the development environment integrating editor, C/C++ compiler, linker, simulator, and emulator. Figure 4 presents the development environment and Table 2 the list of development tools. These products are useful microcontrollers with applications as the main microcontrollers in small household appliances with small systems or as submicrocontrollers in large systems. Future Development Figure 6 presents the application roadmap for these products. FUJITSU will further substantiate the lineup of useful microcontrollers for our customers in our future series development by including built-in timer function products for motor application, products with built-in I 2 C communication functions, and 3V power supply products.
