3 General General The personal settings are now depending on the KISSsoft release. The settings can be updated from older KISSsoft versions, under Extras Configuration tool. The result window can be freely customized by the user, defined in a MMMMresx.rpt file. Data from tables can be copied to clipboard and then easily transferred to i.e. Excel Database Tool Materials: the data for Bronze material are updated according to DIN EN 1982:2008 Lubricants: some Klüber oils are added or updated. For gear wear calculation the factor kwlub is added and marked with cw-info. Roller bearing: Timken bearings for Cylindrical roller bearings (single row and single row full complement) and spherical roller bearings are added. Base packages Base packages ZPK Cylindrical gear basic package Temporary files with tooth form including coordinate points, normal vector and curvatures are provided now (under module specific settings ). The files are saved in the TMP folder. Strength calculation: the settings for endurance limit range (i.e. Corten/Dolan,..) are now available for calculation without load spectra. The button is moved from load spectra area to the subwindow define details of strength. The value for stress correction factor of the reference gear YST can be modified by the user now. Scuffing calculation: for DIN 3990 and ISO/TR , factor Xca will change, if high tip relief values Ca > Ceff are applied. The safety for integral method will increase. Tab Reference profile: a new input mode Diameter for reference profile data is available now (beside reference profile ). This allows the easy input of diameter values directly instead of factors (or conversion of the diameter values). The pre-machining according to DIN3972 is moved into the selection of final machining. For semi-topping gears, the conversion is added to calculate the tip form height coefficient from the tip form diameter. NEW When changing the definition mode from reference profile gear to cutter/tool or / 10
4 constructed involute, the user is asked if the data should be converted. Tab Modification: NEW the definition of the grinding wheel is possible now additionally with length and diameter values (under Plus-button), same as in the tab reference profile. This is only applicable if pre-machining is selected. Also the graph is renewed with several definitions. The rounding can be defined now in axial, normal or transvers section. Up to now it was automatically in transverse section. The tolerance for grinding allowance is considered now in all data depending on the pre-machining process. So far it was only considered in the values for measurements over pins and span. Tab Tolerances: NEW new values according to the updated ISO :2013 are available. Please note the partially big change in the tolerance values and their influence to the strength! Because of these differences, by setup the previous standard ISO :1995 is activated The new ISO :2013 can be activated in the checkbox under module specific settings general. The use of DIN 3962 and DIN 3963 are completely implemented now (activate under module specific settings - general, if you want to use DIN 3962 / 3963 instead of DIN 3961). The settings for the tolerance field of tooth form calculation (minimum/mean value/maximum) are additionally available in the tab tolerances now. NEW For measurements over pins with small pin diameter, the graph shows now the flattened ball (under 2D Geometry tooth form gear 1,2 normal section (gap) ). Graphics: in case of profile modifications at internal gears, the tool is now also displayed as a pinion type cutter (see automatic (modification) ). Report: for the AGMA 2015, the radial composite tolerances are added. Wear calculation: NEW for nitrided steels, as well as for soft-soft and soft-hardened steel gear pairs the wear factor is calculated according to Plewe. WPK Shaft and bearing basic package Shaft editor: The oil level is shown now (activation in module specific settings roller bearings ). The option movable forces and support is moved from checkbox and module specific settings. The options show coordinate system and show automatic dimensioning can be controlled now in the context menu and in module specific settings. New slider is added to change the font size in the shaft editor. The symbol for the connecting element joint, general is reworked and the size is adjustable with the slider / 10
5 Shaft calculation: NEW a new calculation core method is provided, developed for increased stability, better performance and easier debugging. The older method is activated by default (under module specific settings calculations ). Graphics: the positions of the cross sections are now shown in the graphic strength. NEW New graphic is added for displaying bending line and forces (shaft 3D display deformation (bending)). Bearing calculation classical method : the bearing stiffness values are considered if provided in the database. MPK Shaft-hub connections Splines: NEW For measurements over pins with small pin diameter, the graph shows now the flattened ball (under 2D Geometry tooth form hub, shaft normal section (gap) measurement ball in normal section ). For splines according to ANSI B92.1, the tolerances for root diameter are changed so that they are consistent now with the tables. Tab Tolerances: the selection of No backlash is available now. Cylindrical interference fit: new graphic with tolerance fields. Conical interference fit: standard E DIN is updated to edition 2013 SPK Bolt calculation Tab Basic data: the calculation for length of engagement is now moved to the tab basic data, and the results are integrated into the main report. Within the subwindow Define.. several sizing functionalities are added. NEW For the definition of strength of the nut, now the possibilities are given to select a strength class of the nut or alternatively to enter the Hardness HV. Tab Conditions: a sizing button is added to get proposals for the friction coefficients according to the table A5, VDI Module specific settings: NEW the mounting and operation stresses can be calculated now without influence of torsion shear stress. Additionally the reduction coefficient can be edited now (default vaule from standard = 0.5). FPK Springs: for tension springs, the calculation standard DIN EN :2013 is adopted (only some designations are changed) / 10
6 System modules KISSsys SYS Icons are reworked to be unique between the icons and to be more consistent with the calculation: coaxial shaft element, carrier coupling element.
