3 Viewpoint Estimating MEP 11.2 This document details the minimum hardware and software requirements for Viewpoint Estimating MEP It notes the hardware and software that Viewpoint has tested and supports. This helps us maintain a positive and productive experience for our users. Any hardware or software not listed is NOT supported for use with Estimating MEP. There are no known issues with the use of Estimating MEP in a VMware environment that complies with the published requirements. If you have specific VMware related issues, contact your hardware/ technology support vendor. * Peer-to-peer systems should not exceed 4 workstations. When running in a peer-to-peer environment, the computer used as a server should not also be used as a workstation. May of 7

5 Supported Operating Systems Supported Operating Systems All of the environments listed here have been tested and approved for use with Viewpoint Estimating MEP software. Any operating system that is not listed here is currently an unsupported environment. Existing customers that are not experiencing performance issues may run the program in an environment that is no longer supported, but some features may not be available. Any customer experiencing problems will have to update their system to a supported environment. New Viewpoint Estimating systems must be installed in a supported environment. To operate Estimating MEP, your login must have full Read, Write, and Delete permissions to the installation destination. We do not support any operating system prior to Windows 7 and we do not support the Home editions of any operation system. * All serial devices, including digitizers, power pads and USB conversion devices (e.g., Bafo), are NOT compatible with Windows 8 or later. 6 Supported Integration Levels Supported Integration Levels If your Viewpoint Estimating MEP is integrated with other Accounting or CAD software, it is important to be sure you are running a supported release level or some features of the integration may not be available. Accounting Integrations Microsoft Office ProContractor 3.7 and higher Viewpoint Vista 6.12 and higher Management Suite and higher American Contractor 8.5 and higher Viewpoint MEP Estimating works in conjunction with the Microsoft Office Suite. The release levels listed here have been tested and approved for use with Viewpoint MEP Estimating software. Online versions of Microsoft Office are not supported.
