1 Zimmer/Porter CSCI130 Fall 2018 Lab 6 Selection Complete the following activities: 1. Begin by copying the file from my directory into your account (name it lab6.cpp): cp ~aporter/labs/lab6.cpp lab6.cpp 2. Review the revised design of the program created in lab3 (average of 5 test scores). The revised problem is to calculate the average of the values read from an input data file. 3. Create an input file named lab6.in with 5 scores in it: 10, 20, 30, 40,50 4. Compile, link and run the program. How would you test a different set of test scores? Is there are more flexible solution that would make testing easier? 5. Modify the design to let the user determine the input file to be used. Implement the solution. 6. Compile, link and run the program. Does this make it easier to test the program? 7. Modify the design to include only positive test scores in the calculated average. Make sure you do not end up with a program that will abort due to a runtime error! Implement the solution. 8. Compile, link and run the program. How can you test this solution? What are the test cases? 9. Modify the design to include only positive test scores less than or equal to 100. Implement the solution. 10. Compile, link and run the program. How can you test this solution? What are the test cases? 1
