1 OVERVIEW OF THE ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS REPORT (ARR)

2 RECOMMENDED BROWSERS FOR PEOPLESOFT For best results, use one of the following browsers: Internet Explorer 8 (version 9.x is not recommended) Firefox 3.6 (version 4.x and higher is not recommended) Safari 4 or higher

3 WHAT IS THE ARR? The ARR is a report that tracks the completion of ALL degree requirements in one document Lists all courses completed at CSUSM, courses in-progress, and any course or test credit completed off-campus submitted on official documents Changes and displays new information: After registration After grades are posted After you declare or change your major/minor After you submit transcripts with off-campus coursework

4 ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS REPORT-ARR Used by Graduation Auditors in Registration & Records when processing your graduation evaluation. Available to both students and advisors in the same format. You now see exactly what your advisor sees.

5 WHERE IS THE ARR? The ARR is found on the Advisee Student Center page. To access this page, Log on to MyCSUSM, click the Employee Resources tab, then click PeopleSoft HRSA Access

6 WHERE IS THE ARR? Click Self Service>Faculty Center>My Schedule Notice bread crumbs at the top

7 FACULTY CENTER-ADVISOR CENTER This takes you to the Faculty Center. It may appear a little different to you since it now has a tab structure. Click on the middle tab: Advisor Center.

8 ADVISOR CENTER This tab takes you to the Advisee Student Center. To view student data enter the student ID number or search by Last and First Name.

9 WHERE IS THE ARR? 1-Click the middle Advisor Center tab 2-Choose Academic Requirements and click the double arrows

10 WELCOME TO THE ENHANCED ARR! As in the old DPR, the current student information appears at the top of the report.

11 ARR OVERVIEW CORRECTION FORM Students can send a message to their staff advisor by clicking on the ARR CORRECTION FORM link.

12 ARR OVERVIEW - ADVISOR NOTES You can access notes and reminders sent to students from staff advisors and graduation auditors from inside the ARR report.

14 ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS REPORT (ARR) The bottom of the page lists some pointers on how to read the report.

15 ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS REPORT (ARR) Notice that there are familiar and new icons in the ARR. The Degree Audit Icons will indicate the status of requirements throughout the report.

16 ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS REPORT (ARR) The Course Icons will indicate the source of course credit.

17 EVERY ARR IS ORGANIZED THE SAME WAY Academic Objective and Academic Summary General Information about the DPR Report Legend Graduation Requirements (Use the green arrows to expand or collapse information.)

18 ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS REPORT (ARR) The report now uses dark-blue and light-blue bars to separate requirement categories making it easier to quickly focus on areas needing the student s attention.

19 ARR OVERVIEW One or more courses used for this requirement is In-Progress One or more courses are still NEEDED for this requirement An icon appears to the right of each graduation requirement to reflect its completion status

20 ARR OVERVIEW Red Box next to dark blue line shows that one or more REQUIREMENTS are NOT MET Green Circle next to light blue line indicates that the entire requirement is MET Red Box next to light blue line indicates that at least one course is NOT MET Red Box at end of a requirement line indicates that the COURSE is NOT MET

21 ARR OVERVIEW Courses used to meet a requirement are displayed in an easy to read grid. Requirement Designation (GE Area) Transfer Course or Test Credit Click View All to see all 15 Courses used for this requirement In-progress course

22 ARR OVERVIEW - EXCEPTIONS Exceptions to requirements, such as approved substitutions and waivers, are identified by Notes. Click on the hyperlink for more details.

23 ARR OVERVIEW The View Course List link now appears for most requirements in the Major/Minor and displays a list of all courses that can be used to satisfy a requirement.

24 Another new feature is the View All icon. Some requirements list more than 10 courses that may satisfy particular requirements. Click the View All icon to see the entire list.

25 Clicking the course description link opens the Course Detail for each course.

26 Click the view class sections button to see if and when the course is offered.

27 CALCULATING TOTAL UNITS IN THE ARR (NO MORE IP UNITS!) Note: A long requested improvement has been made! Repeated courses that are in-progress no longer double count in the TOTAL UNITS requirement displayed in the ARR.

28 TIPS AND TRICKS You can view multiple pages at the same time by opening new windows. (for PCs only)
