6 Camera Accessories and Accessory Sets Lens Mounts & Lens Adapters A crucial element of the ARRI Large Format system is the LPL lens mount, optimized for large-format sensors. A wider diameter and shorter flange focal depth allows the ARRI Signature Prime lenses and all future large-format optics to be small and lightweight, with a fast T-stop and pleasing bokeh a combination of features that would not be possible within the confines of the PL lens mount. Note 1: LPL lenses will only have LDS contacts at the 12 o clock position and accept LDS-2 and /i signals. 9 Camera Accessories and Accessory Sets ALEXA Full Spectrum Neutral Density (FSND) Filters The ALEXA Internal Filter Module is a system that can hold one FSND filter behind the lens. FSND filters are high quality filters that maintain a neutral color balance at all densities. Filtering behind the lens rather than in front saves time and reduces weight, reflections and complexity while also decreasing narcissism. ALEXA S35 FSND filters can be used in the Internal Filter Module of the ALEXA XT cameras, ALEXA SXT cameras or any classic ALEXA camera with an IFM upgrade. ALEXA LF FSND filters can be used in the internal Filter Module fo the ALEXA LF cameras. FSND filters are not compatible with any generation of ALEXA Studio. Please note that when FSND filters are used, the supplied shim has to be also used to change the camera s flange focal depth accordingly. 15 Viewfinders Electronic Viewfinders and Accessories 0200 Electronic Viewfinders and Accessories K ALEXA Electronic Viewfinder EVF Low latency ( 1 frame delay) electronic color viewfinder with 1920 x 1080 highcontrast OLED display. Eyepiece is based on the ARRICAM design and offers high contrast, low distortion, an evenly illuminated viewing area for a clean image and a wide exit pupil for greater freedom of movement for the operator. Image can be flipped for use of viewfinder on camera left or right. Surround view shows an area larger than that being recorded. The EVF-2 displays customizable frame lines, surround view, camera status, Lens Data System info, clip/reel numbers, false color and peaking. Control of the basic viewfinder and camera settings is possible through CAM and EVF on-screen menus. Display brightness is adjustable in three steps: 120, 200 and 300 nits. The color balance is stable at all display brightness settings, image brightness levels and from - 20ºC to +45ºC (-4º F to +113º F). Compatible with ALEXA LF cameras with LF SUP 3.0 and later and Heated Eyecup HE-7. 20 Viewfinders Ground Glasses and Frameglow Masks The physical frames of ALEXA Classic Studio, ALEXA Classic Studio with XR Module upgrade, ALEXA XT Studio or ALEXA SXT Studio ground glasses and frameglow masks are the same as those used in ARRICAM film cameras. However, the actual frameline dimensions are different, so for a precise alignment of framelines and captured pixels only the ground glasses and frameglow masks listed here should be used. Since the 1.85:1 markings are very close to the 1.78:1 markings, we have omitted the 1.85:1 marking from all ground glasses and frameglow masks. Note: The ground glass grit defines how bright a ground glass is and how easy it is to focus. 800 grit is the standard used in ALEXA Classic Studio, ALEXA Classic Studio with XR Module upgrade, ALEXA XT Studio, ALEXA SXT Studio and film cameras.
