2 Grundfos ALPA Grundfos is proud to present the next generation of energy-efficient circulators the ALPA. The ALPA is a great revolution in a small package. Rated A for its energy efficiency, the ALPA is the most environmentally responsible choice on the circulator market. The ALPA is the most compact Grundfos circulator yet, making it ideal for installation in confined spaces. The ALPA also introduces the AUTOADAPT function to small circulators. AUTOADAPT automatically chooses the best setting, and is the ideal choice for more than 8% of all heating systems. Simple setup The factory setting, AUTOADAPT, is the best in most ordinary heating systems. Set in AUTOADAPT you do not need to readjust it, if you later change the system. t will adapt to the changed conditions automatically. The AUTOADAPT setting is the ideal choice for more than 8% of all systems. This second generation of AUTOADAPT for ALPA offers two distinct improvements: t does not need to reach the maximum pump curve before it adapts to the requirements of the heating system t allows the pump to adjust the proportional pressure curve both up and down for the lowest possible head to meet system requirements. t will continuously find the setting where optimal comfort meets minimal energy consumption. Reference settings Set on AUTOADAPT, ALPA starts at a factory preset reference duty point on a reference curve. This proportional pressure curve is positioned in the centre of the AUTOADAPT regulation area.
