With producing cameras for over 70 years, Canon supports VB-C60 with the core design of compact PTZ (Pan, Tilt and Zoom) cameras, along with Canon s pioneer imaging technology, including the extraordinary 40x optical zoom lens, 3 metering-mode as EOS DSLR series (centre-weighted metering, average metering and spot metering), innovative Motion Detection, MPEG 4 movie shooting etc. Canon has now advanced PTZ performance and versatility to new heights with the VB-C60 PTZ Network Camera. The Canon VB-C60 provides reliable and high quality video images for monitoring property and facilities, surveillance in hospitals and schools, or web conferencing in board rooms. The Most Powerful 40x Optical Zoom* Experienced in producing optical image products for over 70 years, Canon equips the brand new VB-C60 the industry's most powerful 40x optical zoom* and 4x digital zoom. The camera's advanced auto focus system achieves smooth, immediate focus. Thanks to Canon's propriety optical technology, the VB-C60 ultra-long zoom is able to maintain edge-to-edge tonal accuracy and clarity through the entire zoom range. Three Metering Systems The VB-C60 incorporate the precision metering sensor from the EOS DSLR series, with the improved metering stability, more consistent and correct ambient and flash exposures are obtained with less influence by the subject. The VB-C60 also inheritances the three selectable metering systems from the EOS series to accurately measure brightness (amount of light) of subjects, control the shutter and aperture to set the exposure - "Center-Weighted", "Average" or "Spot", which can be switched depending on the shooting condition. Center-weight for close-up subjects; Average for heavily trafficked area of cars or people; Spot ensures that the exposure of the entire subject is appropriate even in backlight conditions. *As for January 2009, compared with the same class model at the industry.

2 Innovative Motion Detection Also available on the VB-C60 is Motion Detection, which can be triggered based on user pre-set parameters, and Subject Auto-Tracking which automatically pans and tilts to follow a subject's movement. In addition to tracking the detected motion, the camera can instantly take a picture and it to a designated account, cell phone or PDA, and upload multiple images to a http or ftp server, which make 24-hours and remote monitoring possible. Two-Way Audio (Full Duplex) The VB-C60 features audio input/output supporting full-duplex audio communication. Progressive Scan CCD The VB-C60 PTZ Network Camera's wide panning range (± 170) which, combined with the 56-degree wide angle lens, provides coverage for a full horizontal field-of-view. When viewing moving objects, images remain clear thanks to a high-sensitivity progressive-scan CCD and advanced auto focus system. The camera also features Panorama Image Creation in which the entire viewing range is stitched together into one image. This allows the user to quickly move the camera to any specific portion within the cameras viewing range. Additionally, the user can utilize the Pre-set Tour function, allowing for up to 20 camera positions to be pre-set and viewed at specified intervals. Image Stabilizer(IS) for Steady Image Together with the image enhancement functions from Canon s professional optical technology, VB-C60 equipped with Image Stabilizer (IS) which inherit from the technology of digital camera. VB-C60 hence captures steady and clear image even in windy outdoor environment. In addition, it features with Smart Shade Control, Auto Day / Night Capability, VB-C60 is able to create outstand, sharp and refined image quality. Simultaneous Encoding of MOTION JPEG and MPEG-4 Video Same as other top-of-the-class Canon processors, the VB-C60 PTZ Network Camera uses the brand-new proprietary Canon DIGIC NET Processor, a powerful hardware-based engine that performs all image processing and encoding. This results in the camera being able to handle simultaneous encoding of MOTION JPEG and MPEG-4 video in high-quality VGA (640 x 480) at a full 30 fps. The compression scheme of MPEG-4 is ideal for recording due to its smaller file

3 size and lighter network load; the high image quality of MOTION JPEG is suited for live monitoring. In addition, the VB-C60 could also distribute Motion-JPEG images in three sizes simultaneously: 640 x 480, 320 x 240 and 160 x 120, which enable diverse applications. IPv6 and IPsec Support Canon VB-C60 also equipped with IPv6 and IPsec Support (IP security), a set of protocols for securing IP communications by encrypting data streams while also securing the data flow to and from the camera, ensuring only authorized users have access. Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology Canon VB-C60 supports the IEEE 802.3af standard for Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, which allows both power and data to be carried over a single LAN cable when connected to a PoE hub/switch/midspan. Since a power cable is not required, the camera can be installed at sites without accessible AC outlets, enables users to enjoy the convenience and ease of installation. For an easy monitoring, each VB-C60 also offers support for up to 30 simultaneous clients. VK-Lite Network Video Monitoring & Recording Software The VB-C60 PTZ Network Camera comes bundled with one license of VK-Lite Network Video Monitoring & Recording Software, an application that enables the user to monitor, record and playback images from up to four cameras from a single screen (additional licenses are available for HK$150 each). There is also a built-in Web Viewer for live monitoring and basic camera control, such as controlling the camera's PTZ movements. Dome Housing Option The VB-C60 Network Camera can be placed in an upright position or mounted on the ceiling by simply changing the setting. There are two types of the dome housing. One is Smoked, which enables you to monitor without drawing attention. The other is Clear, which makes people more aware of the presence of the camera as well as protects from dusts.
