I know there are some technicians out there who can blindly intubate with one hand tied behind their backs, but I ve seen too much food material too close to the glottis through my scope, and worry too much about potential trauma to try this. I wouldn t do rabbits without my scope now! It costs a little more than a full set of vgels, and I think more versatile as you are less likely to dislodge the ET tube when manipulating the patient.
