Every Camera System Needs a Network Video Recorder (NVR) Precision Cam s NVRs come in a wide variety to meet your needs. These NVRs come with or without a hard drive (used for recording at a typical size of 1TB, although larger sizes are available), PoE ports and alarm inputs. They can support four, eight or 16 cameras. You Will Need a Camera to Cover Every Point/Area You Want To Monitor/Record Strategically placed security cameras monitor and record activity in your farmyard. To determine the type of cameras and lens sizes you require, we need to know the distance from each camera to the area it will monitor. Not all cameras are created equally and we want to provide you with a camera that offers you the best possible images. Many of our cameras have motorized zoom or autofocus. These options allow us to narrow down the number of camera options for you. You can then choose a camera based on the required nighttime IR range. The motorized zoom allows you to change the camera s lens without opening the camera case, which makes it super simple for a DIY install. Your System Can Be Wireless or Wired Wired systems require running a cord up to 300 feet from your NVR location to a camera (PoE port at NVR is required in this case) while wireless systems can be set up as far as two miles from the house within a line of sight. Cable can be run up to 300 feet from the NVR to the camera and from the power supply to the WiFi bridge and cameras. Only One WiFi Bridge Needs to be Located Outside of Your House To receive a signal from all other WiFi bridges at the side of the camera, you will need just one WiFi bridge at your house. View and Fully Control Your Cameras From Multiple Smartphones. You will need a high-speed internet connection (minimum kbps) at your house and your internet provider must allow port-forwarding and remote access. Setting up cameras for viewing on your smartphone will take just a couple of minutes using the P2P function on our NVRs. After that, you will be able to fully view and control your PTZ cameras from anywhere. The app is free and there are no monthly fees or subscription costs. Network Video Recorder (NVR) Connects to the Internet Router To access the internet and view/control all your cameras remotely, the NVR must be connected to a router linked to the internet. A five-foot cable length will be provided to extend from your NVR to your router and bridge to router. Your router must have a minimum of two free Lan ports.
