15 UAI CCD Technical specifications When we started designing the UAI CCD our goal was a true CCD deep-sky camera with, at least, these technical specs : Support of very high sensitivity, low noise CCD sensors VGA Resolution (640x480) or better (1Mpixel in wish list) Pixel Size not smaller than 5 micron (to match common FL) 16 bits A/D converter (to use the full CCD dynamic range) Thermoelectric cooling (to further reduce thermal noise) USB Download (to connect to latest PCs without parallel or serial ports)
