Overview: The MultiModem icell intelligent cellular modems are ready-to-deploy, standalone modems that provide 3G HSPA+ wireless data communication and integrate seamlessly with virtually any application. The intelligence of the embedded Universal IP stack allows for automatic/persistent connectivity for mission-critical applications and enhanced M2M (machineto-machine) functionality. For applications such as asset tracking and fleet management, models with a dedicated GPS receiver are available. The MultiModem icell intelligent cellular modems are based on industrystandard open interfaces and can be desktop or panel mounted. 3 V. Warranty and Support: Multi-Tech Systems will provide technical support and repair or exchange of the products listed in this announcement through the warranty period of the installed device. However, no firmware/software updates or maintenance releases will take place post EOL/Discontinued date. models are encryption items. U.S. Export Administration Regulations have special restrictions on the export of encryption items; please refer to these regulations. Any export of commodities, technology, or software must be exported from the United States in accordance with the Export Administration Regulations. Export or diversion contrary to U.S. law is prohibited. VI. Suggested Action Plan: To help facilitate the launch of the new MultiModem icell, we recommend the following actions be taken: Work with your Multi-Tech Systems representative if your company is interested in placing an N.C.N.R. (Non-Cancellable, Non-Returnable) purchase order for any remaining devices that you require. Forward this announcement to others within your organization who are actively involved in the sale or support of wireless modems. Ensure that the pricing for the new MultiModem icell modems are loaded in your pricing system. Note that the current MultiModem icell (MTCMR-H4-xx) modems are no longer recommended for new product designs. Notify existing customers who have been using the MTCMR-H4-xx models and work with your Multi- Tech sales representative to understand sample availability. VII.
