1 EHEALTH CONSORTIUM ENEWSLETTER July 2018 From the Desk of President Thanks for your ongoing support to ehealth Consortium these years. Your accompaniment made the growth of ehealth Consortium become more prosperous and blossoming. What is more, your encouragement contributed a great success to the Hong Kong Territory Wide ehealth Records Sharing System (ehrss) in Stage One. The ehrss has been successfully implemented for more than two years, it gained a very encouraging response from the public. As at the first quarter of 2018, more than patients and over 1400 private healthcare providers, the Hospital Authority, the Department of Health and all of the 12 local private hospitals, have already registered with the system. The accomplishment of Stage One ehrss established a strong and stable foundation to the further development of ehrss. The Second Stage of ehrss has been embarked in July of It focuses in the areas of broadening the scope of sharable data to cover radiological images and Chinese medicine; providing features to enhance patients choice over the scope of data sharing; and establishing a Patient Portal to facilitate patients access to some pre-defined data in the system. In other words, the role of patients and end-users become increasingly important in the ehrss. Being the bridge between the general public, Healthcare/IT professionals and Government, we will aware of the concerns from the Patient groups and effectively reflect to the Government. As the participation by different stakeholders is the key to the victory of the ehrss. With your continued support, I believe that we sure can have a better achievement in ehealth for Hong Kong. 3 ehealth Consortium Annual Dinner The ehealth Consortium Annual Dinner was held on 13 March 2018 in The Assembly Hall of YMCA (The Salisbury). Over 200 guests had attended this annual event, including officials from Government Department and Liaison Office of the Central People Government in HKSAR, prominent figures from professional bodies as well as leading celebrities from IT/ healthcare sectors in HK and China. We thanked much for the generous support from Huawei (Platinum Sponsor) and Cherrypicks (Gold Sponsor), which made our dinner a great success! The Annual Dinner was boisterous and lively with lots of guests from different sectors. Networking session took place at the Podium before the Annual Dinner.. 4

6 Seminar with Huawei (Nov 2018) Seminar with Huawei was successfully held on 28 th Nov The seminar topics were Any Application, Anywhere: Data on Demand - Huawei Storage and Facial Recognitions in Healthcare. This was a substantial and solid seminar; two brilliant speeches were delivered in the Seminar. Participants gave a high evaluation to the speeches, as useful, updated and practical information was shared from the speakers in the seminar. Mr Lamson Chan, Sales Manager of Huawei, delivered an Introductory speech to the participants in the beginning of the seminar. Dedicated canapés and beverage were prepared as refreshment. 7 Seminar & Wine Tasting Event with Huawei (May 2018) In May, we have organized an entertaining but informative event for our members with Huawei. It held at the Elite Dining in isquare, Tsim Sha Tsui. Presentations on Smart Healthcare Platform with Cloud by Mr Alan Cheung, Solution Manager; EBG of Huawei & Healthcare AL Solution by Mr Eason Chiu, Business Development Manager of YITU Technology were delivered. A Wine Tasting workshop followed immediately after the inspiring discussion on ehealth topics. A variety of wines from USA and France were provided for tasting, together with some best paired delicacies and Dim Sums. The event was ended in a merry and dynamic atmosphere. Mr Alan Cheung, Solution Manager; EBG of Huawei & Mr Eason Chiu, Business Development Manager of YITU Technology., were the speakers of this event. A variety of wines were provided in the wine tasting workshop and the participants shared their ideas freely in the networking session. 7
