The society can access this Android Phone Pharmacy System app in android phone. Dr.MINI is like a doctor with each and every individual in the society and can get doctor s (APPS) advice with presubscription at anywhere and anytime and in any situation. With this app medicines can be provided to the patient in offline. This app is helpful to patients to ask questions and state their concerns to doctors regarding their health condition. This app will facilitate the patients to interact with doctors without making any physical appointments, but the patients are restricted to only one message per day before receiving a reply. If the patient gets a response from the corresponding doctor, the patient is allowed to send another message. If there is an emergency, a call can be established immediately to the nearest ambulance station. Demo will be offered to provide first aid for the patients with sudden attack or injury. 1. INTRODUCTION Android is the world s most popular mobile platform, it powers millions of devices in 190 countries around the world. It is the largest installed base of any mobile platform. Everyday more than one million new Android devices are activated around the world [1]. Google Play is the premier market place for selling and distributing the Android apps, as an open marketplace it also controls how to sell products. Android runs on Dalvik Virtual Machine (DVM) which is hosted on the Linux based Kernel; Android was initially released in September The different versions of Android OS are as follows [1]: Android 1.0 released in September Android 1.1 released in February Android 1.5 also called as cupcake released in April Android 1.6, also called as Donut released in September Android 2.0, also called as Éclair released in October Android 2.2, also called as Froyo released in May Android 2.3, also called as Gingerbread released in December Android 3.0, also called as Honeycomb released in February Android 4.0, also called as Ice Cream Sandwich released in October Android 4.1, also called as Jelly Bean released in July Android 4.4, also called as kitkat released in October Android 5.0, also called as Lollipop released in November 2014.In many applications android phones are used in IoT applications such as agricultural robot[11], fire fighting robot etc. 1.1 OVERVIEW OF E-PHARMACIES SYSTEM IN INDIA Currently regulatory powers have been distributed between the central and the state governments. Central Government is responsible for licensing of drug imports and the state 3079
governments are responsible for the manufacture, Sale and distribution of drugs. State authorities exercises regulatory control over drugs by state based Drugs Control Administration headed by the State Drugs Controllers. Every state has its own Drugs Control Administration. The laws governing Pharmacies in India are derived from Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940; Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945; Pharmacy Act, 1948; Indian Medical Act, 1956 and Code of Ethics Regulations, 2002, etc. These all laws were written before the era of computer has been started. So, basically there are no laws related to internet and ecommerce. When e-pharmacies regulation is concerned, there is lack of accurately and unambiguously stated laws and clear-cut guidelines to regulate, control and monitor e-pharmacies. For ensuring efficient and legitimate running of e- pharmacies, it is a need of the hour to make hassle free rules for e-pharmacies. E-pharmacies come under the purview of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and the Information Technology Act, But current Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 doesn t distinguish between online and offline pharmacies. So amendments are required to Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 to bring e-pharmacies within the scope of Drugs and Cosmetics Act, E-pharmacy players make interpretation of laws and rules as per their convenience for taking advantage for their business when there is uncertainty on the applicability of these laws to this model. There is a big misconception of believing that rules applied for offline pharmacies could be easily applied to the online pharmacies too. This may lead to dangerous consequences and may be proved as dangerous trend in future. There are not clear provisions regarding sale of drugs from internet, it seems very difficult to control, monitor and track sell of drugs through e-pharmacies. 2. RELATED WORKS 2.1MEDICATION REMINDER AND HEALTH CARE AN ANDROID APPLICATION-[5] Android-based application in which an automatic alarm ringing system is implemented. It focuses on doctor and patient interaction. Patients need not remember their medicine dosage timings as they can set an alarm on their dosage timings. The alarm can be set for multiple medicines and timings including date, time and medicine description. A notification will be sent to them through or message inside the system preferably chosen by the patients. They can search doctor disease wise. The patients will get the contact details of doctors as per their availability. Also the users can see different articles related to medical fields and health care tips. The system focuses on easy navigation and good user interface. Many such Medical Reminder Systems have been developed where a new hardware is required but in our work we have made an attempt to develop a system which is economical, time-saving and supports medication adherence. 2.2 APPLICATION OF SMART TECHNOLOGIES FOR MOBILE PATIENT APPOINTMENT SYSTEM [2]- The current standard operating procedure in healthcare environment for patient registration and appointment scheduling are time consuming and somehow tiresome. Normally, we see patients coming to the hospital and filling out registration forms and waiting to be called or patient calls in for getting appointment and waits for the response for an agreed date. In some places appointment can be done online via web but still patient has to walk in with the appointment card to be swiped by the front desk personnel before being sent to the concerned doctor. In view of these problems, many techniques like online patient registration and scheduling appointment, etc., have been suggested to improve the work flow and thereby smoothen the waiting time. However, these systems still possess some drawbacks like facilities towards prioritization, security level of patient and also no reminder system present for these appointments. Considering these drawbacks, we here propose to develop an 3080
alternate patient appointment system using Near Field Communication (NFC) technique and Android enabled mobile application with a view to redefining the core of hospital waiting time towards appointment and also collection of medicines. These are carried out in practice using appropriate NFC hardware, Android SDK, Php and MySQL database. 2.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE IN THE AGE OF MOBILE HEALTHCARE [3] The increasing adoption and use of mobile technologies is disrupting the Healthcare industry. This phenomenon has created innovative ways, channels and tools to deliver healthcare cost-effectively even in the remotest of places. Among the material issues that existing mhealth Applications (Apps) face are quality, accuracy and reliability. Most mhealth Apps aren t downloaded that often and physicians are generally hesitant to recommend applications because they don t trust them. One of the biggest challenges is in getting mhealth Apps tested and validated under real-world conditions with a large and constantly growing variety of mobile devices and operating system versions, which need to be supported by such Apps. It could be easily inferred that traditional in-house or outsourced verification and validation methods can no longer cope with the challenges given by today s exploding world of mobile devices and the global user landscape. Software applications with a high Defect Exposure Factor (DEF) i.e. criticality as a measure of immediate customer exposure post release such as mhealth Apps, are excellent candidates for crowdtesting. 3. EXISTING SYSTEM At present, manual system is being utilized in the pharmacy[1][2]. It requires the pharmacist to manually monitor each drug that is available in the pharmacy. Pharmacy management has kept paper record in filing cabinets. Managing a very large pharmacy with records on papers will be tedious and difficult to keep track of inventories with regards to the drugs in the store, expiry date, quantity of drugs available based on the categories and their functions[3]. This implies that these services will be manually completed by the pharmacist. This usually leads to mistakes as the workload of the pharmacist increases. This system also ensures that there exists a level of restricted access based on functionality and role. In the current marketplace there are several apps for communication between doctors and patients but most of their functionalities are commercial, and not really helpful to the users [4]. There are no apps which actually meet the patient s basic needs and no such apps that fulfill the patient s expectations from the doctors. Though these apps have publicized themselves as the best service providers but all the service is just limited to money making by making appointments with doctors, tracking the visit history, patient billings, and very minimal interaction related to disease condition of the patients [5,6]. This project aims at changing this kind of misleading and unnecessary interaction between doctors and patients, with a new initiative which focuses more on patient benefits relating to his/her disease treatment and facilitating the doctors with an easy and optimal way to treat the patients[7]. In [8] authors were proposed to obtain the user s information at the destination using iterative decoding algorithm and achieve better ER with lower signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). 3.1 DISADVANTAGES OF THE EXISTING SYSTEM Human Error Labor-Intensive Time Consuming 4. PROPOSED SYSTEM The goal of the Dr.MINI APPS (Android phone Pharmacy System) is for the people to consult the Doctor through Android phone age wise. Doctor (APPS) provides side effect free and common tablet prescription which will be available in all medicals. Emergency situations call can be established to the nearest Ambulance Station. It is a Free Android Application. 3081
The most valuable wealth in this world is human health; in today s life style, most of the people are suffering from disease who cannot consult the doctor because of poverty[8]. This Dr.MINI Android Application provides Doctor consulting feature with doctor s advice and tablets. If a patient is serious with some inconvenience, a call can be made to the nearest ambulance station. This app also includes the First Aid treatment explanation with snapshots. This app serves the purpose of establishing an offline interaction between a doctor and patient. Generally when doctors are not available or not reachable to patients and vice versa, this app will facilitate both the patients and doctors to interact or communicate and seek some help from the doctor regarding patient s health condition, concerns, etc. 4.1 ADVANTAGES OF THE PROPOSED SYSTEM Patients can periodically receive the health tips from the concern doctor. Less expensive. Time saving. Availability. Periodic updates can be received. 4.2 ARCHITECTURE DIAGRAM OF THE PROPOSED SYSTEM Fig 4.2.1: Architecture Diagram of Proposed System 5. EXPERIMENTAL SET UP When the Dr.MINI APPS is loaded, three tabs can be opened as follows: Emergency, Doctor Consult, and First Aid. 3082
click the first aid option to display the first aid details for patient. Fig 5.1: Dr.Mini The Emergency tab can be clicked to establish a call to the nearest Ambulance station. Fig 5.3: Consult Doctor Fig 5.2: First Aid Click Doctor Consult tab to enter the age of the person; the disease list will be displayed and the person can click on a disease which he is suffering from and can get the side effect-less tablets. Then 6. CONCLUSION & RESULT The major goal of this application is to create offline interaction between doctors and patients, to fulfill the basic needs/problems of the patients. Patients can update their problem to doctors by messaging and get advice from the doctor. Through the messaging services patients can seek 24/7 help from doctors. APPS serve as the platform for easy and quick treatment, with extended support from doctors to patients. APPS has unique features such as issuing offline prescription to patients, referring patients to a specialist, sending health tips to patients, and finally, reducing the cost of customer service and providing a vital communication link between doctors and patients. 5.1 FUTURE ENHANCEMENTS This app can be improved in the future by adding the following functionalities: Extending to Apple ios. Create two separate apps for doctor & patient. Sharing the medical test reports of patients to 3083
doctors through this app. It supporting video calls to discuss the problems with doctors.
