1 OVERVIEW Thank you for choosing a TimeTrax Sync BellQ. The TimeTrax Sync BellQ is a fully automated Ethernet-based timed alert bell system that improves accountability and productivity by promoting standardized shift changes, arrival, break and dismissal times. TimeTrax Sync Bell Scheduling software allows you to manage and customize synchronized bell schedules right from your PC. Create, customize and manage bell schedules for up to 6 independent contacts/zones. Easily define, modify or suspend schedules as needed. AC Bells are sold separately (see accessory section). For more information, visit pyramidtimesystems.com or call our technical support team at during regular business hours: 8am-5pm EXT, M-F. INSTALLATION The TimeTrax Sync BellQ requires AC Power. Choose desired location and mount TimeTrax Sync BellQ to wall using (4) #10 screws (not included). Install top screws into surface and align top keyholes to hang TimeTrax Sync BellQ. Complete mounting by installing bottom screws. Remove TimeTrax BellQ cover by removing screw located on bottom of the front cover. Mount top screws first. ETHERNET remove screw Page 1 of 8

2 CONNECTING POWER Remove one of the ¾ Trade Size Knockout Seals (located on each side and bottom of box) and run ¾ Trade Size Connector from power source through the electrical access hole. Make power connections by running wires through opening at bottom of each respective terminal (see below). Tighten N, L and Ground terminal screws. 3 CONNECTING A/C BELLS Run AC Bell wire through electrical access hole. Make power connection by running bell wire through CIRCUIT 1 LOAD Terminal and tighten terminal screw. Run line from Over Current Protection Circuit to CIRCUIT 1 LINE Terminal and tighten terminal screw. Continue connecting bells up to 6 CIRCUITS. Each circuit is rated for 20 amps. It is recommended not to exceed 80% of rated capacity. The number of bells per circuit is determined by amperage rating of bells (i.e. If a bell is rated for 1amp, each BellQ can power a maximum of 16 bells). 4 CONNECTING BELLQ TO NETWORK Connect CAT-5E Ethernet cable (sold separately) into ETHERNET port located on BellQ box. Connect free end of CAT-5E cable into Ethernet switch or computer. Install TimeTrax Sync software. CAT-5E ETHERNET CABLE SOFTWARE SETUP Enter ADMIN as Login ID and PTI as password. Allow Access when prompted. Page 4 of 8

5 TimeTrax Sync software will automatically discover the BellQ device. To edit Time Source, Network or Contact settings, click on Bell Q from Discovery menu, and click on Global Settings. TO PLACE AN ORDER CALL: Page 5 of 8

6 To edit Network settings, click on Network. From here you can assign a specific IP address. TO PLACE AN ORDER CALL: To edit Contacts/Zones, click on Contacts. From here you can assign specific names to each contact/zone such as Lunch Room or Production Floor. Be sure to click Save before closing. Page 6 of 8

7 To schedule a bell event click on Scheduling from the Device Discovery Screen. Click on Add Schedule. To edit a bell schedule, click on Edit Schedule, or to delete a schedule, click on Delete Schedule. To create an event click on Add Event from Scheduling screen. Enter an Event Name such as Lunch. Enter Event Time. Enter Duration. This will indicate the length of seconds the bell will ring for. Select Days specific days when you want the bell event to occur. Check Zone where you want the bell event to occur. Click Save or Save & Close. TO PLACE AN ORDER CALL: To upload a schedule, click on Upload on the Scheduling Screen for the desired bell schedule you have created. Page 7 of 8

8 WARRANTY & SUPPORT 3-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY Pyramid warranties its Synchronized Clock System to the original user against defective material or workmanship for a period of 3 years from date of purchase. The manufacturer s responsibility under this Warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective part or parts. Pyramid reserves the right to determine whether parts failed because of defective material, workmanship, or other causes. Failure caused by accident, alteration, misuse or improper packaging of returned unit is not covered by this Warranty. Any repair to equipment other than by Pyramid voids the Warranty. Users in territories other than USA, Canada, South America & Australia should contact the Dealer from whom the unit was purchased. The rights under this Warranty are limited to original user and may not be transferred to subsequent users. If Customer Support cannot troubleshoot your problem over the phone, we will replace your unit free of charge if it is within warranty period.
