3 Installing Improved specification you need to improve your computer s specification to give it a better performance. It can be improved by adding more RAM to increase it s speed. Upgrading to solid-state drive could also boost the speed of the computer. Extra features it allows you to use new features that you were not able to do/use before. New features could also help you save money by not having to buy things that you need that is already included with the extra features. Wireless wireless installing could also save some money by not having to buy wires. Health and safety precautions should be met in a workshop. Someone can carelessly strangle or trip on a cable anytime that could cause injuries or even death by getting electrocuted. Latest software an old software is not that efficient anymore and it can reduce a computer s performance that might crash the system. The business might not have the new features and services provided for not getting the latest software that can actually help them on becoming much more efficient and productive. Reliability it is less likely to have faults, and an upgrade wouldn t be necessary for quite some time.

4 Maintaining Saves money computer s components will last longer than it normally does if it is maintained properly so you wouldn t have to replace the old ones and purchase new ones for quite some time. Prevents faults You have to prevent it before problems even occur, and one way to do it is to maintain and clean your computer regularly. If you clean your fans every now and then so dust won t build up and clog the air flow, then over heat is less likely to happen on your computers. Reduces downtime well maintained computers are less likely to have problems/faults so the business wouldn t have to worry about computers being down and not being able to do work. And downtime doesn t just cost time, but it also cost some fortune. Good customer service problems won t occur if you have well maintained computers. Customers would be happy with the services they are getting with the business well maintained computers. Health and safety unmaintained computers are considered not safe as it might start to over heat and cause fire around the place. Or it might also just explode all of a sudden or even electric shocks someone as computer has already been used for a long time without even checking it up. Speed improved -

5 Implications Training users might need training to be able to use a newly updated system to reduce problems like losing data or by damaging the hardware. Timetable personnel training and maintaining/updating the system takes time so it should be managed to fit and make sure not to affect the business. Service level agreement the business and the service provider should have and know their agreement to not have problems with the Decommissioning Risks (static, data loss, downtime)

6 Implications Training you wouldn t really need a training for using a newly updated mobile phone. Timetable updating a phone won t really last than the computer does, but waiting for a spare part for replacement is what might take time, so you should have an alternative if it s used for your job/business. Service level agreement Some people doesn t require SLA if the mobile phone is personally used because some can be done infront of you in a shop where you can wait till is done since it won t take really long. If you think you have got the skills to do a much more difficult replacement, then you might be change a mobile phone s camera, speaker, power/volume button, charger port, headphone/speaker jack, or even the LCD screen. Extra feature extra feature could be a battery with a higher mah that can last longer than the normal ones. Latest software by time, some operating system won t allow you to install the latest software anymore if you still have one of their old ones and that they already have new devices that s out at the market. Reliability upgrades makes a mobile phone much more reliable. Like if you installed a new charger port, you re less likely to have charging problems that maks your mobile phone last longer.

Prevents faults LCD screen, speaker, mic, power button, and camera are prone to faults and sometimes take longer for the problem to show up. One way of protecting your mobile phone is to put on a protective case. Reduces downtime repairing a phone doesn t really last as long as fixing a desktop computer. But if that mobile phone is used for your business/work then you couldn t afford any downtime, so it s best to keep it well maintained. Health and safety an unmaintained mobile phone is also dangerous. Over heat could also occur and it could also explode while answer a call. So make sure to always check up your phone and if it needs maintenance.
