2 Qualification & Certification Tracks Certification tracks are provided to ensure the requirements for selling, installing, and servicing Ascom products are being met. Currently there are two certifications available, as an individual person or as a Reseller/Strategic Partner. Ascom Product Qualification (Individual) Individual qualifications are given upon successful completion of the enrolled course. The Ascom Product Qualifications are provided to recognize the individual s participation in and completion of the course. Specific Product Qualification courses include: IP-DECT VoWiFi UNITE TeleCARE IP Telligence MMG Patient Gateways IP-DECT Introduction, IP-DECT Fundamentals, Ascom VoIP Gateway, and IP-DECT VoWiFi Fundamentals, Ascom VoIP Gateway, and VoWiFi UNITE Introduction, UNITE Fundamentals, UNITE Basic, and UNITE AM Installation TeleCARE course is required Telligence course is required MMG with UNITE AM courses are required Patient Gateway course is required Ascom Certified Systems Integrator (Company) Ascom Certified Systems Integrator (ACSI) is awarded to a company (Reseller/Strategic Partner) that participates in and completes the assigned Certification track. To obtain the ACSI, a company must keep two people (The Product Qualifications need not be the same two people to obtain the ACSI.) 3 MOBILITY Training: IP-DECT Course Description Course Content Lab Activities Key Competence Objectives The IP-DECT course is an instructor-led training course that teaches students how to perform general administration of an Ascom IP-DECT system. This course is intended for those responsible for the day to day administration of an IP-DECT system, as well as persons responsible for installing and integrating IP-DECT systems. The course is a mixture of lecture and hands on lab. There is a certification exam given at the end of the course. A score of 70% or better is required for certification. Handset operation (d62/d63/d81) and device management. - Add/change end user profiles - Change caller ID presentation. - Establish and change routing tables. - Perform backup/restore functions on an IP-DECT system. - Subscribe Ascom handsets, change handset functions with Device Management. - Perform basic diagnostic functions. - Use Site Survey Mode on the handsets. - Establish Master and Air Sync for a system. - Create and modify PRI settings on the gateway. - Create and modify routing on the gateway. - Use Wireshark for packet capture. - Learn how to configure end users. - Learn how to register handsets. - Learn how to perform adds, moves and changes on the IP- DECT system. - Exposure to integration methods including analog gateway and IP 6010 VoIP gateway. - Learn to configure Master/Slave IP-DECT systems. - Learn how to configure automatic updates. - Install and create an IP-DECT system. 4 MOBILITY Training: VoWiFi Course Description Course Content Lab Activities Key Competence Objectives VoWiFI Basic is five days of instructor-led training designed for people responsible for general configurations and frequent maintenance and administration of the VoWiFi system. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to maintain a VoWiFi system by administering the Ascom VoIP Gateway and the Ascom portable handsets. The course is a mixture of lecture and hands-on lab. There is a certification exam given at the end of the course. A score of 70% or better is required for certification. - LAN and WLAN basic requirements - VoWiFi basic requirements - PBX connectivity - Portable handset functions, use, programming - Handset functions (Myco/i62/i75) - Administration of the Ascom VoIP Gateway: moves, adds and changes, IP addressing and settings, LDAP settings, PRI interface settings, number planning, logging, tracing, redundancy, system backups and restore. - Portable Device Manager, programming portable handsets, including Myco, i62, and i75 - Configuring the UniteCM - Troubleshooting - Perform moves, adds, and changes with the Ascom VoIP gateway. - Using the Ascom phone features and functions, including Myco, i62, and i75. - Set parameters for the Ascom VoIP gateway. - Provisioning and programming handsets. - Basic administration of the Ascom UniteCM. - Basic troubleshooting This course will prepare students with the knowledge needed to administrator and maintain the VoWiFi System: - Understand network requirements. - Understand PBX or SIP enablement requirements. - Implement and maintain the Ascom VoWiFi system. This class covers the administration, configuration and integration of the following Ascom Patient Gateway products: - Lismax Gateway - Rismax Gateway - Cardiomax Gateway Successful completion of this course is required to install and service the mentioned Ascom medical device products. Patient Gateway training is also a re-certification program for the Ascom products listed above. Individuals who completed UNITE Basic and UNITE Advanced technical training after January 30, 2011 may qualify to waive the Patient Gateway training requirement.
