4 4 I K-BOW Training Services I Introduction K-BOW Training 2018/2019 K-BOW training services offer a variety of training for service partners and customers to cover all aspects which are necessary to implement and operate a K-BOW system. The course portfolio reflects all aspects of the K-BOW life cycle and is specifically designed to fit into the K-BOW overall service portfolio. By attending the training, participants will be enabled to perform the respective services. All participants are automatically incorporated into Kathrein s service certification and qualification programme. Our training centre in Rosenheim offers a professional training environment to support a fast know-how and skill transfer. All training is hands-on training directly on and with the K-BOW system to ensure a maximum training effect. 6 6 I K-BOW Training Services I Radio Planning K-BOW Radio Planning K-BOW radio planning is targeted at radio planners as well as project and construction managers who require an overview of K-BOW possibilities, available set-up options and RF characteristics of K-BOW. In the first part of the training, the modular set-up principle will be demonstrated by working on the training equipment. In exercises, the participants learn to develop the most effective system design and to create the respective bill of material. In addition, the preconditions for K-BOW deployment on site will be discussed. 8 8 I K-BOW Training Services I Installation K-BOW Installation K-BOW installation covers all steps which are necessary for the installation of a K-BOW system rack, namely C-Hub, E- Hub and the additional rack equipment. After an overview of K-BOW and its modules, the participants will install and de-install a K-BOW rack including the cabling. In addition, all planning documents used during the installation process will be discussed. 10 10 I K-BOW Training Services I Start-up Start-up K-BOW start-up is intended for all technicians who are responsible for commissioning the K-BOW system after installation. Therefore, additionally to the K-BOW hardware structure, the K-BOW O&M principle and troubleshooting procedures will be demonstrated. After the introduction to the K-BOW GUI and O&M application, all steps of the commissioning process will be performed together. The participants work directly on the K-BOW training rack and each participant gets access to a K-BOW O&M simulation. After a K-BOW system overview of the rack and a demonstration of different set-up options, the K-BOW O&M principle will be explained as well as how to access on a local terminal at K-BOW. The participants work directly on the K-BOW system and each participant gets access to a K-BOW O&M simulation. Besides a K-BOW system overview, the O&M principle will be demonstrated, especially the K-BOW GUI and all operations which are required during a K-BOW life cycle.
