Completed application submitted on time D. Ratings of Meets Expectations on all Dispositional Reports from all Instructors, Supervisors & Cooperating Teachers E. Qualifying GPAs: Overall GPA of 3.0; Professional GPA of 3.0 III. Benchmark Point 3: Enrollment in Clinical Experience Professional Semester A. Successful completion of Sections I & II as listed above B. Meeting with Program Advisor to complete Application (including responding to all communications from Advisor) C. Successful completion of Professional Sequence Course work (Includes earning ratings of at least Basic/Proficient on all indicators of the final evaluations) D. Successful completion of Praxis II Test (NTE) Content Knowledge For Health and Physical Education (code 5857 passing score 60. E. No grades lower than C minus or Incomplete grades (Inc) for any general education, core or specialization courses required for the BA in Education F. Qualifying GPAs: Overall GPA of 3.0; Professional GPA of 3.0: This includes successful completion of benchmark I and II above; all professional course work and general education required course work: Concepts Health Education I & II; Concepts Secondary PE I & II; Concepts of Dance and Concepts of Elementary PE; K-2 Curriculum; Adapted PE; School Health Program Planning; Clinical Experience Elementary and Secondary. IV. Benchmark Point 4: Program Completion and Recommendation for Certification A. Successful completion of Section I, II and II as listed above B. Meeting with Program Advisor to complete Application (includes responding to all communications form Advisor) C. Successful completion of Clinical Practice and Successful Completion of Clinical Practice Seminar. D. No Grade lower than C minus or incomplete grades in any General Education, Core or Professional course required for graduation for the BA in Education. E. Candidates can apply for graduation with a BA in Education with Specialization in Health & Physical Education, and certification, after successfully completing all of the requirements needed for the BA in the major. 2 COLLEGE OF EDUCATION POLICIES. Only matriculated education majors may enroll in core or specialization courses required for the BA in Education. 2. No waivers are given for any core or specialization courses required for the BA in Education. *Must pass Core Academic Skills for Educators test in order to take specialization/professional courses 3. No Pass/No Credit grades will not be accepted for any course in the Core & Specialization. 4. D grades or lower, or Incomplete grades (Inc) are not acceptable for any general education, core or specialization courses required for the BA in Education. 5. An overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0, and a 3.0 GPA in all BA in Education core and specialization courses, (see front page for further details). 6. Core and specialization courses required for the BA in Education may only be attempted twice. 7. Dates/times chosen by matriculated education majors for any BA in Education core and specialization courses with field components will be considered final and will not be able to be changed after the last day of Extended Registration of each semester. 8.
