3 THE PROGRAM BACKGROUND SKALI Pioneers & Innovators in the Knowledge Economy (SPIKE) program was initiated through MOU with TalentCorp to introduce an up-skilling program that helps to provide the participants with commercial useful skill and experience.

4 DEGREE OF DOUBT On top of the scroll of Bachelor s Degree... Lack of hands on, more on theoretical. Graduates with GPA < 3.0 hard to find a job. Course subjects taught are more general.

5 OBJECTIVES OF SPIKE PROGRAMME To make graduates marketable for employment. To add values to their qualification by sending them to sit for IRC examination. To produce skilled workers that fit for the industries demand. To increase self esteem and confidence in all graduates.

13 SPIKE - PROGRAM ROAD MAP Out Reach Programme to Colleges / Universities. Selected candidates starts programme with focus on the industry of their choice. Potential candidates are briefed on our programme and about the Industries. For unemployed/ under employed graduates. Introduce participant to Industry (Talent House) Classroom training 3 months & IRC On Job Training at SKALI & host companies. Meeting the Objectives/KPIs and full time employment Placement at Industry Start 6-months End

16 OUR SPIKE BACKGROUND Spike programme started in 2008 focusing in assisting local graduates to have job or to obtain better job or to become entrepreneur. To date we have trained 780 apprentices to become skilled ICT workers and entrepreneurs. Our programme is approved by EPU and MDEc with Industry Recognized Certification programmes. Our training programme is evaluated in accordance with international standard of Kirkpatrick level s 1 to 4. Our training specialised programme is coupled with entrepreneur development programme and CSR projects over a 6 months period. Our programme has produced 24 local entrepreneur companies. We have our own training facilities.

18 SUMMARY SUCCESS STORIES Total of 780 appren2ces were trained since 2008 un2l June appren7ces are currently groomed as Entrepreneurs. A total of 26 registered companies have been formed. As at today, these companies have acquired various projects with a total value of RM 1,260,800. A total of 560 appren2ces have successfully secured above market rate salary jobs with various organisa2ons and corporate, and among them are Telekom Malaysia, Rann Consul2ng, Nelson and XY Base. Some are absorbed by SKALI. 16 Appren2ces were given an opportunity to pursue MBA which is sponsored by SKALI.
