8 Regarding ASME Certification Fees Discussions with Ministerio de Producción, INTI, CNEA, and ADIMRA have led to additional agreements with ASME Conformity Assessment. 9 ASME s Certification/Accreditation Process Application Submittal and AIA Verification 1 Process starts by submitting an application in CA Connect An application proceeds when The application is complete AIA verification and Signed Agreement are received Deposit is paid Renewals: Companies are notified 10 months prior to certificate expiration Complete application must be received at least 6 months prior to expiration Survey/Joint Review must be scheduled at least 10 weeks prior

10 ASME s Certification/Accreditation Process Scheduling Reviews and Surveys 2 Applicants are notified of the dates of the upcoming Survey/Joint Review via CA Connect Surveys/Joint Reviews are scheduled by ASME s Scheduling Managers The dates will be at least 10 weeks prior to the certificate expiration date If the initial dates are not agreed to and the Survey or Joint Review falls within 10 weeks prior to the certificate expiration date you will be required to submit a request for certificate extension. This extension is only a request and needs ASME approval. The extension fee is $

11 ASME s Certification/Accreditation Process Surveys and Joint Reviews 3 Surveys range from 3 to 5 days including the manual review Joint Reviews are usually 2 days in length including the manual review Both are performed in accordance with ASME s Conduct Document Team recommendations are given at the exit meeting This is only a recommendation Final approval is determined after ASME Staff and committee evaluation of the Report

12 ASME s Certification/Accreditation Process Issuing the Certificates 4 Boiler and Pressure Vessel Certificate Issuance Reports are evaluated by ASME Staff Certificates are issued after a positive evaluation and receipt of all fees Nuclear (QSC, N Type), NQA, BPE, RTP Certificate Issuance Reports are evaluated by the respective Conformity Assessment Committees Certificates are issued after a positive evaluation and receipt of all fees

13 ASME s Certificate of Authorization Extension Policy The application package and associated fees must be received 6 months prior to certificate expiration date. Requested Survey/Joint Review dates must be at least 10 weeks prior to the certificate expiration date. If ASME cannot schedule the Survey/Joint Review on the dates requested, then an extension will be granted at no cost to the certificate holder. If the Certificate Holder can not accept the Survey/Joint Review dates at least ten weeks prior to the certificate expiration date, they will have to submit a request to ASME for a Certificate Extension.
