2 CSWA - Academic As a Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate - Academic (CSWA - Academic), students will demonstrate their expertise with SOLIDWORKS 3D solid modeling software, design concepts, and sustainable design, giving them a competitive edge in today's job market.

4 Completing the CSWA in schools What are the steps to get started: 1. Apply to be an Academic Certification Provider Application 2. Login to your SolidWorks Certification Center 3. Allocate Vouchers to students 4. Complete CSWA examination 5. Print certificate

5 Apply to be an Academic Certification Provider Application 1. Go to and click on the CSWA Provider Application link. 2. Complete the web application. 3. This form is then reviewed by SolidWorks Education and SolidWorks Certification departments to validate the application 4. Upon approval, the Certification department will create an online testing account for teachers

10 Credits v s Vouchers A credit allows you to personally take one of our online examinations. A voucher allows you to distribute that privilege to others A trackable voucher allows you to track the exam results of the person to whom you passed the voucher

14 CSWA Exam Breakdown Category Qty Points Total Points Drawing Theory Basic Part Modeling Intermediate Part Modeling Advanced Part Modeling Assembly Modeling Total 240 Passing: Time allotted: Re-test Policy: 165 Points (or greater) Three hours: (180 minutes) There is a minimum 30 day waiting period between every attempt of the CSWA - Academic exam.

15 CSWA Exam Day: Requirements Requirements: A computer with SolidWorks installed on it in a secure environment An internet connection A valid address A voucher ID code (Provided by your CSWA Provider) CSWA Provider Institution Accredited, degree granting educational institution, secondary or post secondary level SolidWorks subscription Approved CSWA Provider application
