Exam Registration Instructions

1 The CHC uses an online program called Certifior to process exam applications and administer, score, and report examinations. The instructions in this section provide necessary information to register with Certifior and to apply, schedule, pay, and take the CHC exam. Completed applications must be received by the application deadline for applicants to be considered eligible to take the exam. See the CHC website for current deadline information. Incomplete or late applications will not be processed. Applicants will be notified about application status within 2 weeks of the close of the application deadline. Confirm that you meet all Exam Eligibility Requirements BEFORE registering for the exam. For more information, see the CHC Certification Handbook. Also, requests for reasonable accommodations for testing must be submitted to chcinfo@homeopathicdirectory.com and approved BEFORE registering for the exam. Certifior Registration Steps 1. Create profile 2. Apply for exam 3. Upload required documentation 4. Schedule exam 5. Pay exam fee Step 1: Create Profile Access Certifior at (click link or copy and paste into web browser). Please ensure your web browser is updated to the most current version. Google Chrome is suggested. Access Certifior and select Create An Account (shown below). 3 Check for Certifior verification (shown below). Follow instructions. After verification is complete, apply for the exam. Step 2: Apply for Exam Login to Certifior and choose the first option, Council for Homeopathic Certification Exam - $500.00, on the Candidate Registration tab. 4 Step 3: Upload Required Documentation Upload ONE pdf file that contains all required documentation: Scanned copies of official homeopathy programs and health science education transcripts to document ALL homeopathy, anatomy/physiology, and pathology education Scanned copies of Clinical Training Logs if required clinical training not completed through an ACHENA- or CHO-approved homeopathy program Scanned copies of English-language curriculum evaluation report provided by an education evaluation service such as American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (aacrao.org), Educational Credential Evaluators (ece.org), or World Education Services (wes.org) AND the official homeopathy and health science education transcripts that were evaluated by the service (Required only if homeopathy education completed outside of the US or Canada) Scanned copies of other required documents such as current degrees/licenses/registrations, health and legal documents, and ADA Accommodation Request Your submitted application and documentation will be reviewed by the the CHC Exam Committee and validated for exam eligibility. You will not be allowed to select a testing site or pay until verification has been completed. Step 4: Schedule Exam Upon receiving notice that your application and supporting documentation has been verified, login to Certifior to schedule a test date and site and submit exam payment ($500 initial or $325 retake). Note: If you are retaking the exam, contact the CHC for a Retake Code. On the Select Site/Location screen (see below), choose your preferred location by entering search information and then click the box to the left of the site name. 5 Click NEXT to continue with scheduling. A calendar will appear. On the Select Date/Time screen, select an available date (Monday through Friday only, even if other days appear to be available) then, using a 24-hour clock, enter your preferred start time. If you choose an invalid start time, the Exam Time box will appear in red and you will not be able to continue scheduling. Exams must be scheduled Monday through Friday from 9AM to 3PM Eastern Time, even if a site is available at other times. If you need to choose another site, click the Back button to access the Select Site/Location screen. Exams must start no later than 3PM Eastern Time to allow for a 4-hour exam. Exams are not offered on US holidays. Review the scheduled exam information, and, if incorrect, click SCHEDULE and repeat the previous step. 6 Step 5: Pay Exam Fee Follow screen instructions for confirmation and payment. The initial exam fee is $500 and the retake exam fee is $325. You will be returned to the Candidate Registration screen for Log Out after processing your payment. NOTE: Credit card payments only Billing address listed on payment screen must match credit card billing address You will receive an exam confirmation (see below) when the proctor site has confirmed the exam appointment. Bring a printed copy of the confirmation and a government-issued photo ID to the proctor site on exam day. Exam Confirmation VERIFY THAT THE INFORMATION IN THIS CONFIRMATION IS CORRECT. YOU MUST HAVE THIS CONFIRMATION WITH YOU TO ENTER THE EXAM. If you have received more than one EXAM CONFIRMATION, bring the most current.
