Purpose This guide provides basic instructions for installing and deploying CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center. Audience This guide is intended for Network Administrators and Architects. 8 Document Font Conventions Font Convention Use Arial bold font Bold font indicates a GUI screen element. This font is also used for table and list headings for visual clarity. Arial bold Italic font Bold Italic font is used to indicate GUI screen elements that might vary according to specific context. This font is also occasionally used for table and list subheadings, for visual clarity. Arial plain Italic font Plain Italic font is used for book or publication titles, and occasionally for emphasis. Courier New (plain text) font Courier New plain text font indicates screen output and non-gui screen elements, and program or script code text. Courier New bold font Courier New bold font indicates user input (text you must enter manually). It also indicates a script or other executable name. Courier New bold Italic font Courier New bold Italic font indicates variable user input. 9 Overview This chapter provides some basic information about the CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center, and a description and navigation roadmap of the CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center Web Interface. The following sections provide the essential information for each of these topics. CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center is a centralized management system that enables you to configure, monitor, and analyze reports and statistics across multiple CloudBridge Virtual WAN Appliances. The following section provides an overview of the Virtual WAN Center Web Interface elements and navigation. The CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center Web Interface This section provides basic navigation instructions, and a navigation roadmap of the Virtual WAN Center. Also provided are specific navigation instructions for the Configuration Editor and Virtual WAN 8.1 Change Management wizard. Basic Navigation Figure 1 outlines the basic Virtual WAN Center navigation elements, and the terminology used in this guide to identify them. P a g e 9

CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center Web Interface Navigation The basic navigation elements are as follows: Title bar This is the dark grey bar at the top of all Virtual WAN Center Web Interface pages. This displays the software version currently running on the appliance, and the user name for the current login session. Click the down-arrow next to the version number to see the IP Address and version number of the Virtual WAN Center. Click the down-arrow next to the user name and select Logout to log out of the Virtual WAN Center. Main menu bar This is the blue bar displayed below the title bar on every Virtual WAN Center Web Interface screen. This contains the section tabs for displaying the navigation tree and default page for a selected section. Section tabs The section tabs are located in the blue main menu bar at the top of the page. These are the top-level categories for the Virtual WAN Center Web Interface pages and forms. Each section has its own navigation tree for navigating the page hierarchy in that section. Click a section tab to display the navigation tree for that section. P a g e 10

11 Navigation tree The navigation tree is located in the left pane, below the main menu bar. This displays the navigation trees for the section tabs. Click a section tab to display the navigation tree for that section. Click a branch (topic) in the tree to reveal the default page for that topic. Breadcrumbs This displays the navigation path to the current page. The breadcrumbs are located at the top of the page area, just below the main menu bar. Active navigation links display in blue font. The name of the current page is displayed in black font. Page area This is the page display and work area for the selected page. Select an item in the navigation tree to display the default page for that item. Page tabs Some pages contain tabs for displaying additional child pages for that topic or configuration form. These are usually located at the top of the page area, just below the breadcrumbs display. Page area resizing For some pages, you can grow or shrink the width of the page area (or sections of it) to reveal additional fields in a table or form. Where this is the case, there will be a grey, vertical resize bar on the right border of a page area pane, form, or table. Roll your cursor over the resize bar until the cursor changes to a bidirectional arrow. Then click and drag the bar to the right or left to grow or shrink the area width. If the resize bar is not available for a page, you can click and drag the right edge of your browser to display the full page. The following section provides a description of the Virtual WAN Center Web Interface page hierarchy. P a g e 11

12 Virtual WAN Center Page Hierarchy The Virtual WAN Center Web Interface pages and displays are organized into several toplevel sections (tabs), as follows: Dashboard Fault Monitoring Configuration Reporting Administration Click a section tab in the main menu bar to display the navigation tree for that section. Then select a topic in the navigation tree to display the page for that topic. Many pages contain tabs, buttons, or active icons and links leading to additional page displays. 14 The Virtual WAN Center Dashboard Click the Dashboard section tab to display the Dashboard page. The Virtual WAN Center Dashboard presents text and graphical displays of the following information: Graphical display of the current network map of the Virtual WAN A table of the current events occurring within the last 1 hour Virtual Path report for the last 24 hours Graphical display of the Alarm Summary Graphical display of the current database usage Graphical display of the current active OS usage in Gigabytes Figure 2 shows a sample Virtual WAN Center Dashboard display. 16 The Configuration Editor The Configuration Editor is available both as a component of the Virtual WAN Center Web Interface, and in the Virtual WAN Management Web Interface running on the Master Control Node (MCN) of the Virtual WAN. This section provides an overview of Configuration Editor navigation and page elements. For detailed instructions on using the Configuration Editor to configure your Virtual WAN, please see the Virtual WAN Installation and Configuration Guide. The Configuration Editor enables you to add and configure CloudBridge Virtual WAN Appliance sites, connections, and provisioning, and to create and define a Virtual WAN Configuration. You can also define and view Network Maps of your Virtual WAN system. Configuration Editor Navigation To open the Configuration Editor, do the following: 1. Log into the Virtual WAN Center Web Interface. 2. Select the Configuration tab. This displays the Configuration tab navigation tree, with the Network Discovery page preselected, as shown in Figure 3. Configuration Editor navigation and page elements The following describes the primary Configuration Editor navigation elements: Configuration Editor menu bar This is located at the top of the page area, just below the breadcrumbs links. The menu bar contains the primary activity buttons for Configuration Editor operations. In addition, at the far right edge of the menu bar is the View Tutorial link button for initiating the Configuration Editor tutorial. The tutorial steps you through a series of bubble descriptions for each element of the Configuration Editor display. Configuration Editor sections tree This is the stack of dark grey bars located in the left pane of the Configuration Editor page area. Each grey bar represents a toplevel section. There are three sections: Sites, Connections, and Provisioning. Click a section bar to expand a section and reveal the configuration tree for that section. Click the bar again to collapse the section. P a g e 19

20 Section tree branches Click + (plus sign) at the left of a section branch name in the section tree to open a section branch. Click (minus sign) to close a branch. Each section branch contains one or more sub-branches of configuration categories and forms, which in turn may contain additional child branches and forms. Sites tree This lists the site nodes that have been added to the configuration currently opened in the Configuration Editor. In the section tree, click + at the left of Sites to open the Sites tree. Click + to the left of a site name to open the branch for that site. Click (minus sign) to close a branch. Audits status bar This is the dark grey bar at the bottom of the Configuration Editor page, and spanning the entire width of the Configuration Editor page. The Audits status bar is available only when the Configuration Editor is open. An Audit Alert icon (red dot or goldenrod delta) at the far left of the status bar indicates one or more errors present in the currently-opened configuration. Click the status bar to display a complete list of all unresolved Audit Alerts for that configuration. Resize bar The resize bar is the thin, grey, vertical bar located on the right border of the main page area pane, and is available in most of the Configuration Editor pages. You can use the resize bar to grow or shrink the width of the page area to reveal or truncate content in a table, tree, or form. Roll your cursor over the resize bar until the cursor changes to a bi-directional arrow. Then click and drag the bar to the right or left to grow or shrink the area width. If the resize bar is not available for a page area, you can click and drag the right edge of your browser to display the full page. The following section provides an overview and navigation instructions for the Virtual WAN Change Management wizard. The Change Management wizard is a component of the Virtual WAN Management Web Interface running on the Master Control Node (MCN), and is not part of the Virtual WAN Center. However, you can use the Virtual WAN Center to connect to the specified MCN, and access the Change Management wizard. Instructions are provided in the next section. P a g e 20

21 The Change Management Wizard The Change Management wizard guides you through the process of uploading, downloading, staging, and activating the CloudBridge Virtual WAN software and configuration on the Master Control Node (MCN) appliance and client appliances. The Change Management wizard is a component of the Virtual WAN Management Web Interface running on the MCN, and is not part of the Virtual WAN Center. However, you can use the Virtual WAN Center to connect to the specified MCN, and access the Change Management wizard. NOTE: You must specify the MCN for the Virtual WAN Center before you can use the Virtual WAN Center to access the Change Management wizard on that MCN. This is the last step in the Virtual WAN installation and deployment process. For instructions, see the section entitled, Specifying the MCN and Testing the Connection. Change Management Wizard Navigation To open the Change Management Wizard, do the following: 1. In the Virtual WAN Center Web Interface, click the Configuration tab. This displays the Configuration tab navigation tree, with the Network Discovery page preselected, as shown in Figure 6. P a g e 21

This displays the Virtual WAN Center Change Management access page, as shown in Figure 7. Figure 7. Virtual WAN Center Change Management access page P a g e 22

23 This page displays the following instruction: Click here to Open Master Control Node s Change Management 3. Click the here link. This displays the Login page for the Virtual WAN Management Web Interface running on the associated MCN, as shown in Figure 8. Figure 8. Virtual WAN Management Web Interface Login page 4. Log into the Management Web Interface on the MCN appliance. 5. Select the Configuration tab. NOTE: For detailed instructions on navigating the Virtual WAN Management Web Interface, please refer to the Citrix CloudBridge Virtual WAN Installation and Configuration Guide. P a g e 23

24 6. In the navigation tree (left pane), click + next to the Virtual WAN branch to expand that branch. 7. In the expanded Virtual WAN branch, select Change Management. This displays the first page of the Change Management wizard, the Change Process Overview page, as shown in Figure 9. Figure 9. First page of the Change Management wizard 8. To start the wizard, click Begin. NOTE: For complete instructions on using the wizard to upload, stage, and activate the Virtual WAN software and configuration on the appliances, please see the Virtual WAN Installation and Configuration Guide. 25 The Change Management wizard contains the following navigation elements: Page area This displays the forms, tables, and activity buttons for each page of the Change Management wizard. Change Management wizard page tabs The page tabs are located in the left pane of the page area on each page of the wizard. Tabs are listed in the order that the corresponding steps occur in the wizard process. When a tab is active, you can click it to return to a previous page in the wizard. If a tab is active, the name displays in blue font. Grey font indicates an inactive tab. Tabs are inactive until all dependencies (previous steps) have been fulfilled without error. Appliance-Site table This is located at the bottom of the wizard page area, on most wizard pages. The table contains information about each configured appliance site, and links for downloading the active or staged Appliance Packages for that appliance model and site. A package in this context is a Zip file bundle containing the appropriate CloudBridge Virtual WAN software package for that appliance model, and the specified configuration package. The Configuration Filenames section above the table shows the package name for the current active and staged packages on the local appliance. Active/Staged download links These are located in the Download Package field (far right column) of each entry in the Appliance-Site table. Click a link in an entry to download the active or staged package for that appliance site. Begin button Click Begin to initiate the Change Management wizard process and proceed to the Change Preparation tab page. Activate Staged button If this is not an initial deployment, and you want to activate the currently staged configuration, you have the option of proceeding directly to the Activation step. Click Activate Staged to proceed directly to the Activation page and initiate activation of the currently staged configuration. The following chapter provides instructions for preparing to install and configure the CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center. P a g e 25

26 Before You Begin This chapter outlines the hardware and software requirements for Citrix CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center, and defines any platform dependencies. Also provided is a summary and overview of the CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center installation and configurations procedures described in this guide. Hardware Requirements This section outlines the Virtual WAN Center processor, memory, disk space, and network bandwidth requirements. Processor Requirements The processor requirements for Virtual WAN Center are as follows: 4 Core, 3 GHz (or equivalent) processor or better for a server managing up to 64 sites 8 Core, 3 GHz (or equivalent) processor or better for a server managing up to 128 sites 16 Core, 3 GHz (or equivalent) processor or better for a server managing up to 256 sites Memory Requirements The memory requirements for Virtual WAN Center are as follows: A minimum of 8GB of RAM is strongly recommended for a VM managing up to 64 sites A minimum of 16GB of RAM is strongly recommended for a VM managing up to 128 sites A minimum of 32GB of RAM is strongly recommended for a VM managing up to 256 sites P a g e 26

29 Software Requirements This section outlines the software requirements for CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center, and basic information on acquiring and downloading the Virtual WAN Center software. Operating System Requirements Virtual WAN Center requires a configured VMware Hypervisor ESXi server, version or higher. Browser Requirements Browsers must have cookies enabled, and JavaScript installed and enabled. The CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center Web Interface supports the following browsers: Google Chrome Microsoft Internet Explorer Mozilla Firefox The following section outlines the CloudBridge Virtual WAN configuration prerequisites necessary for deploying Virtual WAN Center. CloudBridge Virtual WAN Configuration Requirements The following Virtual WAN configuration prerequisites must be in place before you can install and deploy Virtual WAN Center The Virtual WAN Master Control Node (MCN) and existing client nodes must be upgraded to CloudBridge Virtual WAN version The DHCP Server must be present and configured in the Virtual WAN. The following section provides instructions for downloading the Virtual WAN Center installation files. P a g e 29

30 Downloading the CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center Software Before beginning the installation, you must download or copy the Virtual WAN Center OVF template (.ova file) to the local PC you will be using to connect to the ESXi server that will host your Virtual WAN Center. The Virtual WAN Center OVF template file has a file name using the following naming convention: cb-vwc-version_number-vmware.ova where: version_number is the CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center release version number..ova is the file name suffix indicating that this is an OVF template file. To download the CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center installation files, go to the following URL: Instructions for downloading the software are provided on this site. The following section provides a summary of the steps and procedures involved in installing and configuring CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center. P a g e 30

31 Summary of Installation and Configuration Procedures The following list summarizes the steps and procedures involved in deploying CloudBridge Virtual WAN. 1. Gather your CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center installation and configuration information. For instructions, see Gathering Your Installation and Configuration Information. 2. Install the VMware vsphere Client. For instructions, see Installing the VMware vsphere Client. 3. Install and deploy the Virtual WAN Center OVF Template. For instructions, see Installing and Deploying the Virtual WAN Center OVF Template. 4. Add and configure the datastore. For instructions, see Adding and Configuring the Datastore. 5. Display and record the Virtual WAN Center Management IP Address. For instructions, see Displaying and Recording the Virtual WAN Center Management IP Address. 6. Switch the active storage to the new datastore. For instructions, see Switching the Active Storage to the New Datastore. 7. Configure the Management Interface settings. 32 Gathering Your Installation and Configuration Information This chapter provides a checklist of the information you will need to complete your deployment. Information Checklist Gather the following information: Note the IP Address of the ESXi server that will host the Virtual WAN Center Virtual Machine (VM). Select a unique name to assign to the Virtual WAN Center VM. Determine the amount of memory to allocate for the Virtual WAN Center VM. Determine the amount of disk capacity to allocate for the virtual disk for the VM. Determine the Gateway IP Address the Virtual WAN Center will use to communicate with external networks. Note the subnet mask for the network in which the Virtual WAN Center will reside. The following chapter provides step-by-step instructions for installing, configuring, and deploying your Virtual WAN Center. P a g e 32

33 Installing and Deploying the Virtual WAN Center This chapter provides step-by-step instructions for installing, configuring, and deploying the Virtual WAN Center. This includes basic instructions for installing the VMware vsphere Client, which you will use to create and deploy the Virtual WAN Center Virtual Machine. The following summarizes the top-level steps for installing the Virtual WAN Center. You must perform these procedures in the order listed. 1. Install the VMware vsphere Client. 2. Install and deploy the Virtual WAN Center OVF Template. 3. Add and configure the datastore. 4. Display and Record the Virtual WAN Center Management IP Address. 5. Configure the Management Interface settings. 6. Switch the active storage to the new datastore. 7. Install the Virtual WAN Center certificate. 8. Specify the MCN and test the connection. Instructions for each of these procedures are provided in the remaining sections of this chapter. P a g e 33

34 Installing the VMware vsphere Client This section provides basic instructions for downloading and installing the VMware vsphere client you will use to create and deploy the Virtual WAN Center Virtual Machine. NOTE: Please also refer to your VMware vsphere Client documentation for additional information. To download and install the VMware vsphere Client, do the following: 1. Open a browser and navigate to the ESXi server that will host your vsphere Client and Virtual WAN Center Virtual Machine (VM) instance. The VMware ESXi Welcome page displays, as shown in Figure 10. 35 Figure 10. VMware ESXi Welcome page 2. Click the Download vsphere Client link to download the vsphere Client installation file. 3. Install the vsphere Client. Run the vsphere Client installer file that you just downloaded, and accept each of the default options when prompted. 4. After the installation completes, start the vsphere Client program. 37 5. Enter the ESXi server login credentials. Enter the following: IP address / Name: Enter the IP Address or Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) for the ESXi server that will host your Virtual WAN Center VM instance. User name: Enter the server Administrator account name. The default is root. Password: Enter the password associated with this Administrator account. 6. Click Login. This displays the vsphere Client main page, as shown in Figure 12. 38 Installing and Deploying the Virtual WAN Center OVF Template This section provides instructions for installing the Virtual WAN Center OVF template and creating the Virtual WAN Center Virtual Machine. 1. If you have not already done so, download the Virtual WAN Center OVF template file (.ova file) to the local PC. Download or copy the Virtual WAN Center OVF template to the local PC you will be using to connect to the ESXi server that will host your Virtual WAN Center. The OVF template file has a file name using the following naming convention: cb-vwc-version_number-vmware.ova where: version_number is the CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center release version number..ova is the file name suffix indicating that this is an OVF template file. NOTE: For additional information, please see the section entitled, Downloading the CloudBridge Virtual WAN Center Software, in Chapter 3: Before You Begin. 2. Continuing in the vsphere Client, click File and then select Deploy OVF Template... from the drop-down menu. This displays the first page of the Deploy OVF Template wizard, the Source page, as shown in Figure 13. P a g e 38

Browse to the location of the.ova file you downloaded earlier to the local PC, and select it. 4. Click Next. The name must be unique within the current Inventory folder, and can be up to 80 characters in length. 8. Click Next. This proceeds to the Storage page, as shown in Figure 17. P a g e 42

For now, accept the default storage resource to be used as the destination for the Virtual WAN Center Virtual Machine files. You will be configuring the datastore later, after the VM has been created. P a g e 43

If this is the first VM you have created using this vsphere Client, the vsphere Client Home page displays. If you have previously created one or more VMs, the Inventory page displays. You have now completed the OVF template deployment process. The next step is to add and configure the datastore for the new Virtual WAN Center VM. The following section provides instructions for these procedures. Adding and Configuring the Datastore This section provides instructions for adding and configuring the datastore for the new Virtual WAN Center VM. To add and configure the datastore, do the following: 1. Continuing in the vsphere Client, open the Inventory page. If this is the first time you have used the vsphere Client to create a VM, after the OVF deployment completes, the vsphere Client Home page displays, as shown in Figure 22. NOTE: If you have previously created one or more VMs, the Inventory page will already be displayed. P a g e 47

In the Inventory tree, right-click on the name of the Virtual WAN Center VM you just created and select Edit Settings from the drop-down menu. 52 4. In the Memory Size field, enter the amount of memory to allocate for this VM. For guidelines on configuring this resource, see the section entitled, Memory Requirements, in Chapter 3: Before You Begin. 5. Click Add. Select the quantity and unit size from the drop-down menus. For guidelines in determining the amount of disk capacity, see the section entitled, Disk Space Requirements, in Chapter 3: Before You Begin. 9. In the Disk Provisioning section, select Thick Provision Lazy Zeroed (default). 10. In the Location section, select Specify a datastore or datastore cluster (radio button). 11. Click Browse. This opens the Select a datastore or datastore cluster dialog box, as shown in Figure 29. P a g e 54

59 16. Click OK. This submits your configuration changes, dismisses the Virtual Machine Properties page, and returns to the vsphere Client Inventory page. An entry for the reconfiguration task is also added to the Recent Tasks table at the bottom of the page. As the reconfiguration proceeds, a green progress bar displays in the Status column for that task in the table. When the reconfiguration completes, the Status column for the task displays a status of Completed. The next step is to configure the Virtual WAN Center Management IP Address. The following section provides instructions for this procedure. Displaying and Recording the Virtual WAN Center Management IP Address This section provides instructions for displaying and recording the Virtual WAN Center Management IP Address. NOTE: The DHCP server must be present and available in the Virtual WAN before you can complete this step. To display the Management IP Address, do the following: 1. Continuing in the vsphere client Inventory page, select the new Virtual WAN Center VM in the Inventory tree (left pane). This displays the Inventory page for the Virtual WAN Center VM, as shown in Figure 33. P a g e 59

In the Basic Tasks section, click the Play icon (green arrow) to power on the new Virtual WAN Center VM. 3. Select the Console tab in the Inventory page tab bar. The Console tab is located in Inventory page tab bar at the top of the main page area, as shown in Figure 33, above. Selecting this tab displays and enables access to the CLI console for the VM, as shown in Figure 34. P a g e 60

NOTE: To release console control of your cursor, press the Ctrl and Alt keys simultaneously. 5. Press Enter to display the console login prompt. Press Enter once or twice to display the console login prompt, as shown in Figure 35. P a g e 61

NOTE: The DHCP server must be present and available in the Virtual WAN, or this step cannot be completed. After logging into the console, the Welcome message displays the Last login information and the Host IP Address. This IP Address is the Management IP Address for this new Virtual WAN Center VM. IMPORTANT! Do not log out of the console or close the vsphere Client, as the Management IP Address will not persist until you complete the next two steps in the deployment process. The next step is to switch the active storage to the datastore you created earlier. P a g e 63

64 Switching the Active Storage to the New Datastore This section provides instructions for switching the active storage to the datastore you created earlier. To do this, you will use the Virtual WAN Center Web Interface. NOTE: Do not log out of the console or close the vsphere Client, as the Management IP Address will not persist until you configure the Management Interface settings, which you will do after completing this step. To specify the active storage for the Virtual WAN Center, do the following: 1. Open one of the supported Web browsers and navigate to the Virtual WAN Center Management IP Address you just recorded in the previous step. 65 2. Log into the Virtual WAN Center. The default login credentials for the Virtual WAN Center are as follows: Login: admin Password: password This opens the Virtual WAN Center Web Interface Dashboard page, as shown in Figure 38. By default, the User/Authentication branch is pre-selected, and the User/Authentication page displays, as shown in Figure 39. P a g e 65

This places the Virtual WAN Center into Maintenance Mode and displays a progress bar in the main page area. 7. When the activation completes, click Continue. This dismisses the progress bar and returns to the main Storage Maintenance page display. NOTE: Do not log out of the console or close the vsphere Client, as the Management IP Address will not persist until you complete the next step in the deployment process. The next step is to configure the Management Interface settings for the Virtual WAN Center. P a g e 67

68 Configuring the Management Interface Settings This section provides instructions for configuring the Virtual WAN Center Management Interface settings. To do this, you will use the Virtual WAN Center Web Interface. NOTE: Do not log out of the console or close the vsphere Client, as the Management IP Address will not persist until you complete this step. The Management Interface settings include the following: Virtual WAN Center Management IP Address Gateway IP Address Subnet Mask Primary DNS Secondary DNS To configure these settings, do the following: 1. Continuing in the Virtual WAN Center Web Interface, select the Administration tab. This displays the Administration branch in the navigation tree (left pane). By default, the User/Authentication branch is pre-selected, and the User/Authentication page displays, as shown in Figure 41. P a g e 68

70 Figure 42. Global Settings page 3. Configure the Management and DNS settings. In the Management and DNS section, enter the following: IP Address: Enter the IP Address for the Virtual WAN Center. Gateway IP Address: Enter the Gateway IP Address the Virtual WAN Center will use to communicate with external networks. Subnet Mask: Enter the subnet mask used to define the network in which the Virtual WAN Center resides. 4. Click Apply. NOTE: Connectivity to the Virtual WAN Center will be terminated when your changes are applied. The next step is to install the Virtual WAN Center certificate on the Virtual WAN Master Control Node (MCN) associated with this Virtual WAN Center. P a g e 70

71 Installing the Virtual WAN Center Certificate This section provides instructions for downloading the Virtual WAN Center certificate and installing it on the Virtual WAN Master Control Node (MCN). To download and install the certificate, do the following: 1. If necessary, log back into the Virtual WAN Center Web Interface. 2. Select the Configuration tab and then select Network Discovery. This displays the Network Discovery page with the SSL Certificate tab preselected, as shown in Figure 43. Figure 43. Network Discovery page with SSL Certificate tab selected 3. Click Download Certificate. This opens a file browser on the local PC for selecting the download location. Navigate to the desired location, but do not change the default name of the file (VWCSSLCert.pem). 4. Click Save to save the file. P a g e 71

72 5. Log into the MCN. Log into Virtual WAN Management Web Interface running on Virtual WAN Master Control Node you want to associate with this Virtual WAN Center. 6. Select the Configuration tab. 7. In the navigation tree (left pane), click + next to the Virtual WAN branch. This expands the Virtual WAN branch in the tree, as shown in Figure 44. Figure 44. This displays the Virtual WAN Center Certificates page, as shown in Figure 45. P a g e 72

Select the certificate file you just downloaded (VWCSSLCert.pem), and click Open. 10. Click Upload and Install. This uploads the certificate file to the MCN, and displays a success message when the installation completes. 11. Click Continue. This displays the MCN Management Web Interface Dashboard page. At this point, you can log out of the MCN (optional). The next step is to specify the MCN to be associated with this Virtual WAN Center, and test the connection. P a g e 73

74 Specifying the MCN and Testing the Connection This section provides instructions for specifying the MCN to be associated with this Virtual WAN Center, and testing the connection to the MCN. Do the following: 1. Log into the Virtual WAN Center Web Interface. 2. Select the Configuration tab. 3. Select Network Discovery in the navigation tree (left pane). This displays the Network Discovery page. By default, the SSL Certificate tab is preselected, as shown in Figure 46. Figure 46. Network Discovery page 4. Select the Discovery Settings tab. If the connection succeeds, a green check mark displays. A success message indicates that the connection is established, and that the appliance is eligible to become the MCN. 7. Click Rediscover. 8. After the discovery operation completes, select the Inventory and Status tab. The Inventory and Status table displays a list and status information for all of the discovered Virtual WAN Appliances.
