9 SINCE 1990 DIGITAL MESSAGE ON HOLD PLAYER with Internet Message Update DME Is a highly reliable Message On Hold player that Receives Message Updates via the Internet. It also uses a Standard SD Card (supplied) to store it s Message or Messages so that it still provides for Easy Message Change by manually changing the SD card. This is important during times when Internet Access is disconnected, denied or unavailable. DME connects ANYWHERE on an Internet Connection. It can connect to ANY PC or Laptop connection point or even direct to the Broadband Modem or Switch/Router. DME uses DHCP technology to automatically connect to the Network and within seconds of first connection it makes an Outgoing Connection to a pre-programmed Internet destination (FTP Server). A preset User Name and Password protection ensure that DME will only update content that is intended for it. DME is completely Internet Safe as it makes Outgoing Connections Only. It is programmed to connect to one remote destination address only and any attempted Incoming connections cannot be answered. DME is perfect for sites that require Frequent Message Updates. DIGITAL MESSAGE ON HOLD PLAYER with After Hours Message Player and Call Counter DMS Is a highly reliable Message On Hold player that also has a Telephone Line Answering facility. This facility allows DMS to Answer After Hours telephone calls and then play a specific High Quality MP3 Message of Any Length to the Caller from Beginning to End. It can then either Hang Up (if Incoming Messages are not required) or it can Ring an attached Answering Machine so that callers can leave a Message. As well as having a standard 3.5mm Audio output for Message On Hold, DMS also connects to the Telephone Line in place of an Answering Machine, or where an Answering Machine is still required, it connects in series between the Answering Machine and the Telephone Line connection. Like an Answering Machine, DMS can be left in Answer On mode at all times, or the Answer function can be switched ON and OFF as required. DMS has a Digital Display that advises if the Answer Facility is ON or OFF. DMS uses a Standard SD Card (supplied) where the specific MP3 After Hours Message is saved along with the standard On Hold Message or Messages. 12 DTMF Controlled Relays RELAY CONTROL UNIT Intelligent DTMF Controlled Relay Units for Single Device Control or Access Control applications. It can be used on ANY of the following Telephone Lines : PSTN, Cable or Fiber Lines PBX Analog Extensions FXO Ports FXS Ports ATA Output Cellular Gateway Output A dedicated Access Control Line SINGLE UNIT OPERATION RCU will allow you to remotely control one or two electrical devices by dialing an Extension or Phone Number and entering a user set DTMF code. With RCU you can Open a Gate or Door, or with the correct Accessories you can Turn On or Off a Light, or Reset a PC or Server. MULTIPLE UNIT OPERATION You can also use Multiple RCU units together to control Multiple Devices or set up sophisticated Access Control applications. There are Two Models in the Range : RCU1 Has a Single Dry Contact Relay (rated at 1A) that can be programmed to respond to any 1-4 digit DTMF Code and which can be programmed to Toggle On/Off or Close for a period of seconds. RCU2 Has Two Dry Contact Relays (rated at 1A) each of which can be programmed with its own Code and Relay Closure time. 12 YOUR PBX ACCESSORIES PARTNER

13 SINCE 1990 APPLICATIONS 12V Power Supply A simple application would to connect an RCU1 to an Analog Extension and program the Relay1 to respond to the DTMF code 11. The closure time of the relay can then be set to 15 seconds. Then to Open an Electric Door, the user would just dial the extension number to which RCU1 is connected and then when RCU1 answers, they would press 11. The Door then Open for 15 seconds only. Electric Lock One leg of the power supply routes trough RCU Supplied Screw Terminal Adaptor Supplied 12VDC Adaptor A more complex application would to be to add another RCU to this same line, connected in parallel. In this example an additional RCU2 is used, which has 2 separate Relays, each which can have its own DTMF activation Code and Relay Closure time. Relay 1 has been programmed for DTMF 22 and its relay will close for 30 seconds. Relay 2 has been programmed for DTMF 33 and its relay is programmed to close for just 2 seconds, for a momentary closure. Power Supply 12VDC Dry Contact Closure Dry Contact Closure Parallel Line Connection Now a user can dial the same extension number, wait for RCU to Answer (all will answer) and then press 22 to allow access to a specific Elevator Floor (for up to 30 seconds) or press 33 to Open a Boom Gate. For even more Complex Applications, Multiple RCU s (any combinations of RCU1 s and RCU2 s) can be connected to the same Telephone Extension (or line) and every relay can be programmed with its own unique code and relay closure time. Then a user can call the extension number and either dial an individual relay code, or even enter a number sequence where several codes are dialled to command multiple relays to respond. For example pressing 12345, could control 5 separate relays, each controlling its own device or access. DTMF could be dialled to achieve the same result, as each RCU relay can be set to only look for its own unique code in a sequence. SUPPLYING QUALITY PRODUCTS SINCE 1990 TWO YEAR FACTORY WARRANTY 13

Our Pre Amp Accessory provides amplification of the Telephone Line Audio to the Amplifier to overcome this problem. A Volume Pot is provided on the Pre Amp Accessory to allow the correct Paging Volume to be set. Some Amplifiers are not natively designed for a Telephone Line connection which can result in a Loud Pop on the Paging Speakers when a Telephone based Page is connected. Our Pre Amp Accessory is also designed to Automatically eliminate (or greatly reduce) any Pop that can result from an Amplifier used for Telephone Line paging. Push to Talk Accessory Some Amplifiers may require a Push To Talk (PTT) input. In this situation, you can connect our Off Hook Indicator (OHI) device to the same extension and connect the Relay Output from OHI to the PTT input. See page 21 for more details. 16 PULSE to DTMF converter DECADIC to TONE DIALLER DTD is designed to allow a older Decadic (or Pulse) Dialing Telephone Device to operate with a Modern Fiber Telephone Line or IP Based Telephone Line. It can be used on ANY of the following Telephone Lines : PSTN, Cable or Fiber Lines PBX Analog Extensions FXO Ports FXS Ports ATA Output Cellular Gateway Output DECADIC to TONE DIALLER (DTD) connects BETWEEN the Decadic (Pulse) Dialing Telephone Device and the Telephone Line that it is connected to. DTD will then Automatically convert Decadic Pulse Dialed Digits to DTMF Touch Tones, so that the Telephone Device can Dial Out. Because DTD uses a 12V power supply for operation, its circuitry can operate with a unique, reliable and superior method of Decadic to Tone conversion. Dialing Operation When a Decadic Pulse Dialing Device goes Off Hook to dial, DTD provides an Interface that prevents any Decadic Pulses from passing through to the Telephone Exchange, which can causes issues. It instead reads the pulses and then at the completion of each pulse Dialed digit, it will transmit the appropriate DTMF digit to the Telephone Exchange or appropriate IP Interface. This method ensures that every Dialing event from an older Telephone Device is accurate and reliable. DTD will also operate with modern DTMF based Telephone devices. When one of these devices Dial s a Telephone Number, DTD will read and re-dial the same DTMF digits ensuring that every Dialing event is accurate and reliable. Incoming Call Operation Incoming calls pass through to the attached Telephone or Telephones without delay. Should Power be lost or disconnected from DTD, the attached Telephone Devices will be connected direct to the Telephone Line so that they can receive incoming calls and DTMF Dialing Telephone devices will be able to dial out. Installation 1. Connect the Line In port of DTD to ANY convenient position on the Telephone Line (cable provided). 2. Connect the Decadic/Pulse Dialing Telephone device direct to the Line Out port of DTD. 3. Connect the supplied 12V Power Pack. DTD can be powered by any 12VDC or 12VAC input with a min current capacity of 300mA. This allows for operation by a 12V Battery. 16 YOUR PBX ACCESSORIES PARTNER

RING BOOSTER will then immediately Output Strong USA (or UK) style Ring to the attached Telephone Device(s). As soon as an attached Telephone Device Answer RING BOOSTER S ring, it will be immediately connected to the Incoming call so that it can communicate as required. Outgoing Call Operation RING BOOSTER will immediately Connect the attached Telephone Device(s) to the Telephone Line source as soon as they go Off Hook. General Operation RING BOOSTER is totally Transparent in Operation. In the event of Power Loss to RING BOOSTER, it will automatically connect the attached Telephone Device(s) to the Incoming Telephone Line so that it can make and receive calls. RING BOOSTER can be powered by any 12VDC or 12VAC input with a min current capacity of 300mA. This allows for operation by a 12V Battery. In the Event that a Telephone Line (or simulated Telephone Line) is Lost or Cut, it will CLOSE an Internal Relay 5 seconds later and leave it CLOSED until the Line is reconnected or restored. The internal relay is designed to control One of Two Easy Connect Accessories that have been designed to operate with Ring Indicator. Tone Alert (pictured) or Strobe Alert (see page 23), to provide one of the following Alerts: A Bright Red Flashing Strobe Light Alarm Speaker (with selectable Alarm Tones) and Volume Control The above accessories are powered direct from TLM and connect via a single 4 wire cable terminated with a 4 pin RJ plug (4P4C). A 6ft cable is supplied with each Accessory. A shorter or longer cable can be made to the required length, with Cat5 or Standard telephone cable being ideal. Polarity is not important as the Accessory has an Integrated Polarity Rectifier. For very long cable runs, the Accessory device can also be powered directly using a 12VAC or 12VDC, (300mA min power adaptor - DC polarity does not matter) to ensure that the Strobe Light Intensity or Alarm Output Intensity can be maintained. 22 YOUR PBX ACCESSORIES PARTNER

28 PBX FaxSwitch FAXSWITCH For most businesses, there is no longer any need for an expensive Dedicated Fax Line. Fax Use is decreasing due to the increased use of Telephone Line Rentals continue to increase Telephone Line Installation Charges continue to increase With FaxSwitch you can : Move your Fax Line to your PBX Rotary Group to add an additional line Cancel the existing Last Choice Line and replace it with the Fax Line FaxSwitch is specifically designed to allow a Fax Machine to Share the Last Choice line of a PBX Rotary Group (PSTN Lines only). It provides Completely Automatic Fax Reception, with 100% detection accuracy and reliability. There is no need to change the Fax Number, as the Fax Line is now the Last Choice line. Save over $$$ s per year in unnecessary line rental alone. Save even more if a new line installation is involved. Installation Connect the incoming Last Choice telephone line to the Line In port of FaxSwitch 2 Connect the Line Out port of FaxSwitch 2 to the PBX Trunk Input used for the Last Choice telephone line Connect the Fax Machine to the Fax Device port of FaxSwitch 2. Leave the Fax Machine settings unchanged Connect the supplied 12V Power Pack and installation is complete Operation The only time a call will ring on the Last Choice line is when: 1) It is a Fax Call 2) It is a Telephone call, but ONLY if ALL other lines in the Rotary Group are in use FaxSwitch will answer all incoming calls on this line BEFORE the call rings on the PBX. It will then listen for a Fax Calling Tone. If the Calling Tone is detected, it will ring the Fax Machine so that it answers and then connect the Fax call to it so that it will receive the Fax transmission. On the rare occasions that the incoming call is a Voice call, FaxSwitch 2 will ring the PBX system as normal, after a 4 second listening delay. 28 YOUR PBX ACCESSORIES PARTNER

29 Installation Diagram Power Adaptor Supplied Incoming Telephone Lines Fax Machine Main Line Additional Line Additional Line Additional Line Additional Line Last Line Telephone System Controller INSTALLATION Fit Fax Switch to the existing LAST LINE of the PHONE SYSTEM or move the Fax Line into the rotary group, to add an additional Voice Line. You still keep the existing Fax Number. Telephone Handsets Telephone Handsets MODEM SWITCH Some businesses require the ability to DIAL IN to a Modem based device, such as an Air Conditioner, Alarm System, Retail Cash Register, Vending Machine or ANY other device which has an Analog modem. The need to DIAL IN is usually infrequent and the cost of using a dedicated telephone line is cost prohibitive and totally unnecessary. Modem Switch operates in the same way as FaxSwitch, except that it is programmed to detect a Modem Calling Tone instead of a Fax Calling Tone. When used on a PBX, Modem Switch connects in the same manner as the FaxSwitch and the dial in Modem Number is simply the telephone number assigned to the Last Choice Line. Modem Switch can also be used on a Fax Line, EFT-POS line or any other available telephone line. The normal use of the line remains unaffected.
