3 1. About Wien Energie & blizznet Wien Energie has been operating telecommunications network deploying all common technologies for twenty years. Glass fibers have been laid for this purpose since You will find amongst our customers nearly all telecommunications and internet companies represented in Vienna in addition to the Wiener Stadtwerke and the municipality of Vienna. Wien Energie offers with the blizznet brand a highly available glass fiber network within the Vienna city area the basis of which is formed by a network of over 2,000 km of optical fiber cables. 2. Basic Services Wien Energie offers on the basis of an IP based MPLS network (Multiprotocol Label Switching) the blizznetvll (point-to-point) and blizznetvpls (multi-point) products. This service description applies to both products, any exceptions will be expressly stated. The major differences are described in section 2.1 and 2.2. A redundant connection of customer premises is optionally possible. All details related to the fact that the solution is realized only using the Wien Energie network infrastructure. This service description applies solely to enterprises pursuant to Article 1 of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act blizznetvll Ethernet based point-to-point connections using the MPLS network are provided using the blizznetvll product (Virtual Leased Line). Should the customer order multiple blizznetvll connections a bundled handover is also possible (please refer to figure 2, blizznetvll with central handover) blizznetvpls Ethernet based multi-point-to-multi-point connections using the MPLS network are provided using the blizznetvll product (Virtual Private LAN Service). In this way distributed customer premises can share a single Ethernet broadcast domain. The individual customer premises are interconnected through integration into the MPLS network whereby the MPLS network emulates a switch resulting in a single-bridged LAN solution Access bandwidths The following access bandwidths can be selected: 10 Mbit/s 20 Mbit/s 50 Mbit/s 100 Mbit/s 200 Mbit/s 500 Mbit/s 1,000 Mbit/s (i.e. 1 Gbit/s) 10,000 Mbit/s (i.e. 10 Gbit/s) on a project basis The selected access bandwidth is provided to the customer in both directions (download and upload) at the same time (full duplex). page 1 of 6

CIR (Committed Information Rate) In addition to the access bandwidth the customer can select one of the following three committed CIR categories on the blizznetbackbone: 10% of the access bandwidth 50% of the access bandwidth 100% of the access bandwidth 100% CIR means that we guarantee the customer to have the full access bandwidth available. In case of 50% CIR, we guarantee availability of at least 50% of the access bandwidth. 10% CIR means that we guarantee a bandwidth of 10%. The customer can always however use 100% of the bandwidth provided sufficient capacities are available. For more clarity only the guaranteed bandwidth will be illustrated. MAN stands for Metropolitan Area Network. blizznetvll: 100 Mbit/s with 10% CIR The customer has a blizznetvll connection with an access bandwidth of 100 Mbit/s and a CIR of 10%. The handover is performed centrally. The bandwidth requirements of the central handover is included and results from the cumulated access bandwidths of the individual blizznetvlls. The VLLs are assigned VLAN IDs for identification which can be freely selected by the customer in harmonization with Wien Energie. Physical availability blizznetvll and blizznetvpls are generally available where Wien Energie can provide glass fiber connection Constructional prerequisites/space requirements The installation site of the equipment provided by Wien Energie to the customer is to be clean, dry, safe and sufficiently ventilated. In particular the customer is to ensure at their own expense that the following outline conditions are satisfied: Power supply: 230 V ~ Space requirements: generally 1U (rack unit) in a 19 rack incl. power supply Ambient temperature: 0 C to +50 C Relative humidity; 5% to 95% (non-condensing) 3.3. Legal prerequisites Please refer to the General Terms & Conditions of Wien Energie GmbH related to the installation and operation of your communication network as amended 1 for the corresponding details 4. 7 5. Network connection point (NCP) The handover to the customer is effected using an active component which is deemed customer edge (CE). Under special circumstances the handover can be also effected at a MAN node. The connection socket at the customer s is deemed the network connection point (D). All network equipment up to this point is deemed to be within the sphere of responsibility of Wien Energie. This does not apply to components and connections provided by the customer (such as in-house cabling). 6. Provisioning times The provisioning times depend on the requested locations and will be specified in the respective offer. The General Terms & Conditions regulate details thereof. 7. Service handover Upon completion Wien Energie delivers to the customer the service handover notification. This notification has to cover at least the following parameters: connection and/or service numbers confirmation of compliance with the ordered parameters other relevant details. such as network addresses 8. Monitoring The NOC (Network Operation Center) monitors the Wien Energie network 24x7x365. The CE are also included in the central Wien Energie fault management Service monitoring web interface The customer is given access to a password secured web interface at monitoring.blizznet.at. There they can find comprehensive details and statistics regarding all ordered connections. allowing for instance to analyze the load of the customer s access connection over various periods.
