3 1. About Wien Energie & blizznet Wien Energie has been operating telecommunications network deploying all common technologies for twenty years. Glass fibers have been laid for this purpose since You will find amongst our customers nearly all telecommunications and internet companies represented in Vienna in addition to the Wiener Stadtwerke and the municipality of Vienna. Wien Energie offers with the blizznet brand a highly available glass fiber network within the Vienna city area the basis of which is formed by a network of over 2,000 km of optical fiber cables. 2. Basic Services blizzneteos (Ethernet over SDH [Synchronous Digital Hierarchy]) offers the customer a digital dedicated line using Ethernet across two locations. Wien Energie combines therein advantages of package optimized Ethernet technology with the real-time optimized TDM method (Time Division Multiplexing) of the SDH network. This results in the following benefits to the customer: fully transparent service virtually delay-free data transport Ethernet interface A redundant connection of customer premises is optionally possible. The prerequisite for provision of the specified services is exclusive realization using the Wien Energie network infrastructure. This service description applies solely to enterprises pursuant to Article 1 of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act Bandwidths The following bandwidths can be selected: Product denomination Ethernet throughput 1 2 Mbit/s Mbit/s 4 Mbit/s Mbit/s 6 Mbit/s Mbit/s 8 Mbit/s Mbit/s 10 Mbit/s Mbit/s 50 Mbit/s Mbit/s 100 Mbit/s Mbit/s Other bandwidths can be offered upon request. The selected bandwidth is provided to the customer in both directions (download and upload) at the same time (full duplex). Half duplex is not supported. 3. Prerequisites 3.1. Physical availability blizzneteos is generally available where Wien Energie can provide glass fiber connection. 1 On layer 2 at frame size of 1,518 bytes. page 1 of 3

4 3.2. Constructional prerequisites/space requirements The installation site of the equipment provided by Wien Energie to the customer is to be clean, dry, safe and sufficiently ventilated. In particular the customer is to ensure at their own expense that the following outline conditions are satisfied: Power supply: 230 V ~ Space requirements: in dependency from the required service between 1U and 9U (rack unit) in a 19 rack incl. power supply Ambient temperature: 0 C to +40 C Relative humidity; 5% to 90% (non-condensing) 3.3. Legal prerequisites Please refer to the General Terms & Conditions of Wien Energie GmbH 2 corresponding details. for the 4. Access The General Terms & Conditions regulate access to Wien Energie equipment/network connection point (NCP) at the customer s. 5. Network connection point (NCP) The connection socket at the customer s is deemed the network connection point (D). All network equipment up to this point is deemed to be within the sphere of responsibility of Wien Energie. This does not apply to components and connections provided by the customer 6. Provisioning times The provisioning times depend on the requested locations and will be specified in the respective offer. The General Terms & Conditions regulate details thereof. 7. Service handover Wien Energie delivers to the customer the service handover notification. This notification has to cover at least the following parameters: connection numbers confirmation of compliance with the ordered parameters other relevant details 8. Monitoring The NOC (Network Operation Center) monitors the Wien Energie network 24x7x Service management & SLA Please refer to the blizznetsla (Service Level Agreement) for details regarding fault recovery, maintenance, committed availability, points of contact and escalation levels.
