2 Objective Let s get your CCTV connected, streaming, and viewable! Overview To provide a complete set of testing procedures to ensure your IP enabled CCTV device is installed, integrated and functioning properly. (assuming configuration begins with a defaulted camera) Check List CCTV Installation Aerial CCTV camera is mounted and secured at an appropriate height on the pole with no obstruction of view. Ensure manufacture recommended mounts and mounting accessories are used which may include Axis Pendant Mount adapter, Side of Pole mounting kit, or Mast Arm Parapet J-Pipe mount with pendant adapter Ensure that the camera s IP-66 Push-Pull RJ45 connection is factory made and tested or installed by an Axis Certified Professional If a network coupler is used, make sure it is environmentally sealed and protected from the elements. If housed in mounting arm and bracket, all holes are plugged and sealed to ensure weather proof housing. Proper Ethernet cable is used from cabinet to the CCTV Outdoor Rated CAT6E, Shielded Twisted Pair, 600MHz CAT6E cable and terminations should be factory made and tested/verified after installation to ensure no damage occurred during the install process CCTV Installation Cabinet CCTV cable(s) are neatly dressed, labeled, and terminated inside the cabinet and secured to avoid loose connections Factory Installed Shielded CAT6 RJ45 connections required on camera POE cable (or field terminations from a Certified Axis Professional) Ensure the CCTV Power Over Ethernet injector is secured inside the cabinet and all connections are locked in place Ensure the 110VAC power source from the cabinet is not GFI protected but uses clean, surge protected power from the cabinet Page 2

3 CCTV Testing Local LED status on POE injector shows two Green LED s (1 for power and 2 for Camera Network Connection) LED status on field switch shows activity and local area connection Factory made CAT5e jumper is used to connect from CCTV POE device to Field Switch Web Interface from the switch into the CCTV camera using the appropriate IP address provided by agency: default IP = username = root PW = pass Verify the Live View and PTZ is working locally from the Ethernet Switch Select setup and Verify the CCTV setup is complete and as instructed by the local agency. *Settings and options may differ between agencies. Contact your local agency administrator for all appropriate settings. Page 3

9 Select Use transparency and Scale with resolution option and save After image is uploaded you must select it under Use overlay image and save Page 9

10 On fiber set the Bit Rate Control to Variable bit rate and save On cellular/wireless set Maximum bit rate to 1000 and save Page 10

11 On cellular/wireless set the image resolution to 800x450 and save Verify the Video Multicast settings are correct as provided by local agency Page 11

12 Configure and Verify the Main Video Stream (1080p resolution = 1920x1080) (720p resolution = 1280 x 720) Configure and Verify the VSS Video Stream (for VSS 511 integration) Page 12
