2 aurora Duet The aurora Duet has been designed to provide the ISDN engineer with the right tool to resolve those difficult problems in the field under local or remote control. Available as a basic rate or combined basic and primary rate ISDN unit, the aurora Duet is easy to use, produces meaningful and understandable results, and provides the operational and functional qualities necessary to complete any task. The ability of the aurora Duet to perform TE/NT emulation is the key to its versatility. For the Service Provider, whose primary concern is the provision and maintenance of ISDN capability, the strengths of the aurora Duet are evident when problems occour. Testing the local loop at the U-interface prior to installing the NT Using TE mode to simulate terminal equipment to validate line operation Checking cable continuity for S bus problems Monitoring of D-channel traffic to trouble-shoot the difficult problems The aurora Duet is also able to simulate the operation of the NT and so appear as the network itself to facilitate checking Customer Premises Equipment.
