Interface board(low-profile bracket attached) 1 CUB-43PCI-LP CUB-43PCIEXP Terminal* Terminal* * Never touch the terminal. Doing so may damage the terminal. CD-ROM 1 - Driver software - Utility program - User's Manual(PDF) - Setup Guide(this book) Setup Flow Ⅰ To install a setup program Ⅱ Shut down the PC. Ⅲ Open the PC cover and insert the interface board into the PCI bus slot. Ⅳ Close the cover and power on the PC. Ⅴ To confirm that the OS identified this board. 1

2 1. Installing the driver with setup program Manually install from the supplied CD-ROM. 1. Turn on the computer, start Windows, administrator account (such as Administrator) please login. * If you are logged in account other than "Computer Administrator", Log off, and the computer again.please log in with an administrator account. If any account is unknown, please check the account that has administrative rights by "Start" "Control Panel" "User Accounts". 2. Open the CD that has been attached "Driver" folder. Run in the "setup.exe". Here, the warning screen shown at right is displayed in the case of Windows7, but press "Yes" button to continue. 3. Dialog in"welcome to the CUB-43PCIEXP Device Driver Setup Wizard" or "Welcome to the CUB-43PCI-LP Device Driver Setup Wizard" will appear, press "Next >" button to continue. 4. Dialog of the "Ready to Install" that appears, press "Install" button to continue. 5. The dialog box of "Wpuld you like to install this device software" will appear as shown on the right in the case of Windows7,then press "Install", and continue. 6. Dialog in "Completing the CUB- 43PCIEXP Device Driver Setup Wizard" or "Completing the CUB-43PCI-LP Device Driver Setup Wizard" will appear and the installation of the setup program will be completed by pressing "Finish" button. 2

3 2. Install the board to the PC Refer to the PC's manual for how to open and close the cover and install and remove a PCI card. 1. Power off the PC. 2. Remove all the cables from the PC. 3. Remove the PC's cover.(follow the directions in the PC's manual for how to remove the cover.) 4. Please insert the PCI slot in the case of CUB-43PCI-LP. Please insert the PCI-Express slot in the case of CUB- 43PCEXP.Then remove the cover from the slot that are targeted. (Follow the directions in the PC's manual for how to remove the cover.) 5. Insert the interface card into a free PCI or PCI-Express slot firmly. If you want to insert the board to the PC with a low-profile slot, replace the low-profile bracket attached. 6. Fix the card using the screws supplied with the PC. 7. Reinstall the PC cover in the reverse procedure of Reconnect the cables removed in 2. (Do not connect the cable to the connector of this board yet.) 3

4 3. Confirm that the PCI board is recognized. When you launch the OS to turn on the PC after you have installed in your computer this board, the driver is automatically applied to the OS recognizes the board. It may be at this time, the balloon is displayed on the task tray at the bottom right of the screen, it recognizes the new hardware, you are installing the driver is displayed. For Windows7 Driver will be installed automatically. You do not need to operation. For WindowsXP 1. "Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard" should appear as shown on the right in the case of Windows XP. Here, press "Cancel" button in helping you select, and then go. 2. Open the CD that has been attached "Driver" folder. Run in the "setup.exe". 3. Dialog in"welcome to the CUB-43PCIEXP Device Driver Setup Wizard" or "Welcome to the CUB-43PCI-LP Device Driver Setup Wizard" will appear, press "Next >" button to continue. 4. Dialog of the "Ready to Install" that appears, press "Install" button to continue. 5. Dialog in "Completing the CUB- 43PCIEXP Device Driver Setup Wizard" or "Completing the CUB-43PCI-LP Device Driver Setup Wizard" will appear and the installation of the setup program will be completed by pressing "Finish" button. 4

5 In order to confirm that the board is properly installed, first,open the "Device Manager". For Windows7 Please open the "Device Manager" from "Control Panel" in the case of Windows7. Here, you can double-click the "CUnet Devices", make sure that it is: "Step Technica: CUB-43PCIEXP WDF Driver" or "Step Technica:CUB-43 PCI-LP WDF Driver". For WindowsXP In the case of WindowsXP, open the "Control Panel" at the beginning, "Syetem" and then open, please open the "Hardware" below. And open the "Device Manager". Here, you can double-click the "CUnet Devices", make sure that it is: " StepTechnica: CUB-43PCIEXP WDF Driver" or "StepTechnica: CUB-43PCI- LP WDF Driver". 5
